Hi, just wanted to know if it’s possible to make users pay (i.e. with a paypal module) for the activities created in the site and, eventually, how to do this.

Hi there,

You can either charge a subscription or a listing fee. Here’s an article on how to set up the subscriptions, for example: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/510-can-i-charge-a-subscription-to-the-listing-owners

If you have further questions about setting up the theme, please take a look at our FAQ here: http://listify.astoundify.com/

Thanks,

Bryan

I have this strange feeling with all these suggestions and comments and non-responsive to lots of valid questions an UPDATED THEME IS COMING REAL SOON… Looking forward to see what made the cut for features and updates!

These comments are all from the weekend. I manage all of the ThemeForest pre-sales comments. I took the weekend off, spent time with my family, and right now myself Spencer and the team are attending to all of the support area comments which is located HERE, we’ve got about 100+ emails to respond to currently but as soon as we are done with the weekend backlog i’ll be back to replying to the 47+ ThemeForest comments that are currently awaiting a reply.

BTW: If anyone is reading this and is needing support for your theme purchase please contact us HERE so we can help.

Cheers! Adam

Hello I don’t want to show amenities that don’t have a exact place. Regards

Also Userpro integration can be?

Hi there,

I’m not sure I understand the question. Could you provide an example?

We haven’t used Userpro Integration on the theme but it should work as the theme uses all the latest standard coding practices for WordPress. We don’t plan on supporting the plugin.

Thanks,

Bryan

Is there any chance you deliver a psd file of the front page? I need it for hiring some coder modifications. It is not included within the folder. Many thanks in advance.

Hi there,

We design in the browser, and then if there are certain parts that need to be designed then we usually just use Sketch – http://bohemiancoding.com/sketch/

Need to create a PSD from the theme design? Use: http://www.pagelayers.com/

Thanks,

Bryan

Hello, This link in your support pages is broken. Kindly do not ask me to submit a ticket to bring this to your attention! :)

Hi guys. Quick pre-sale question: I want to do a city specific directory (domain would be city+niche.com). Does your theme allows this? I mean, can I get rid of location as a search element?

cheers

Hi, I am interested in buying this theme, however as well as the current functionality I would like to utilise functionality from the UserPro plugin (http://codecanyon.net/item/userpro-user-profiles-with-social-login/5958681).

Could this plugin integrate to the current theme, to add this functionality, and be integrated with the same login? thanks

We haven’t used Userpro Integration on the theme but it should work as the theme uses all the latest standard coding practices for WordPress. We don’t plan on supporting the plugin.

Regarding social login, please review: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/521-can-i-use-social-login-on-my-listify-powered-directory

Cheers! Adam

Thanks Adam, using something like Userpro, will the end user have one login – ie one login to manage their listify directory listing and manage their social settings? I’m trying to work out what the end users experience would be? The hope would be they would have one login and be able to manage all these settings from the one area? Thanks

Is it possible to please get an update on this? Thanks

Hi,

I have some pre-sales questions:

1. Can list owner sell seminars/event tickets on their listing, and we earn commission from the tickets? If possible to sell tickets, can we restrict this function to those who purchase specific plan?

2. I understand that you don’t have a back-end demo yet. I am wondering how various plugin combine together with Listify.

For example, if we install multi vendor plugin, how & where vendors/listing owner add their (whatever) item they want to sell, backend or a frontend page?

Another example will be wooCommerce booking, how/where listing owner manage their customer booking?

================================= For normal user/customer perspective, Listify is excellent, clean interface and easy to use.

I am more concern on listing owner’s perspective. We gonna charge them for their listing, so I hope listing owner can use the site as easy as how normal user use the site.

cheers

Hi there,

1)

Integration with an Events Plugin is planned, there are many options so we are currently evaluating the best plugin for the job, so far we like the look of Events Calendar by Modern Tribe as it integrates with WooCommerce for selling tickets. We will need to add some customize styling and it will be supported by Listify.

We are currently just working on the “kinks” if there are any before we start adding a ton of new features, we need to understand what customers are using Listify for and the types of features they need.

2) We’ve got an article that covers this question here: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/507-how-do-i-allow-vendors-to-sell-products-through-my-listify-powered-website

Please note the disclaimer at the bottom of that article: The vendor plugins mentioned in this article display the WordPress backend to the vendor when managing products. This is a limitation of the plugins.

Thanks,

Bryan

Is it possible to add another post type called “profile” where people can login and upload a profile as a listing.

Can we then add some way of having “submit listing | submit profile” and obviously have different details added for profiles than listings?

Sorry for the delay in response. We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the Listify theme, thus far its been getting great reviews.

The plugin that we use only currently allows a user to submit to one form, so your idea about having a site that lists both profiles of singers/performers/bands, and also listings for bars and clubs wouldn’t be possible, as you would need two different forms on your site.

Cheers! Adam

If we added a separate plugin to work with the profiles, are we able to put those lists within your map? HOw does the map find the listings to put into the map as points? What file should we look into?

Pre-sale question: How do I configure Listify to function just like AirBnb? I want owners to be able to submit fields that include check in/check out dates and # of guests so that guests who visit the site can perform searches for those fields. Check out the landing page on www.airbnb.com to see what I mean.

Hello, You still would need to hire a developer to add checkin/checkout to search forms. This is not a feature of the Listify theme, even if you do not install WooCommerce Bookings, or using the WP Job Manager Field Editor Plugin, this plugin does not offer this feature to add fields to the search form.

Keep in mind, Listify is a directory theme that searches listings, it is not designed to search inventory such as deals, products, bookable products on the home page.

Cheers! Adam

If it’s not designed for bookable products, how is it integrated with booking systems? It should be able to search those booking systems by date/availability. Users who want to reserve a table a certain day, or go on a vacation a certain day, or rent a room a certain day, or rent a car a certain day, will want to enter their dates of availability (check in/check out for example) from the main search bar.

This is how it works with our theme, you visit a listing, i.e. a barber shop: https://demo.astoundify.com/listify/listing/555-liberty-village-toronto-ontario-canada-astoundify-barbershop/

Once you are on the listing page, you will see an option to book a haircut at the barber shop using the reservation system.

A directory theme displays listings and then inside of each listing there are options like, deals, discounts, book a service, video etc.

A developer can extend the theme and plugins to display a checkin/checkout date on the search form on the home page.

- Can listings by listing owners be adapted so that they can both be sold AND rented?

- Rather than an “add to cart” button, can this be replaced with a “make an offer (or one added in addition) where the listing owner can accept or deny the offered price and then automate checkout from there with those variables ?

Hi there,

This sounds like it goes beyond what the theme was designed to handle. It’s a great idea but it is not something we’ll be able to handle anytime soon.

However, if you need help customizing Listify please get in touch with Travis from WerkPress or contact a customization service over on Envato Studios, we just don’t have time for custom development, sorry about that.

Thanks,

Bryan

Hi, I saw that there’s a add to cart feature..
1) can we set a merchant to pay commission for each successful transactions?
2) can the claimed listing shipping fee be unique for each merchant?

Thank you

Hi there,

This isn’t something related to the theme, rather the WooCommerce Vendors plugin. Here’s an article that may better answer your question: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/product-vendors/#section-6

Thanks!

Bryan

Hi there guys

Just purchased the theme. It looks really great and, based on your earlier work and phenomenal reputation, I’m sure it’s only going to get better over time.

Cheers and keep it up!

Help Us Translate Listify!

Do you speak one of these? French, German, Dutch, Italian, Russian, Spanish or any other language?

We are looking for help translating the Listify theme into other languages, and so far we are making some good progress with the help of the ThemeForest community who’ve purchased Listify :)

Lets get Listify translated into as many different languages as possible so that more people can enjoy using the theme in their native language.

Get Translating

Thanks so much! Adam

Thanks for checking out the Listify theme the “last directory theme you will ever buy!”

Cheers – Adam.

Hi,

First of all I want to congratulate you on the theme and the awesome work.

I am about to buy it – just wanted to figure out if you have Spanish translation files already? I would like to create a website using your theme in Sanish…

Thanks!

Hi there,

Thanks for the kind words!

Yes, the translation to Spanish is complete. You can read more about it here: https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/listify/

Those files will be included in the download.

Thanks!

Hi There,

i wanted to change the url / path structure. I don´t want the slug path “listings-category” to show up.

So far this is working with a plugin called “remove taxonomy base slug”. This is only working for the desktop version of the site.

When i navigate on a mobile devise the link structure is still “listing-categroy” although i changed the label “listings” to “sights”

Is this hard-coded? where?

Thanks

Also – feature request: 1) A “Move to Location” option would be useful for the results list. The user would be taken to the listings geolocation on the map. With lots of results in one area, this would be very helpful.

2) The ability to set category images for the front page. My listing images aren’t attractive, it would be good to set them.

3) MegaMenu – I have 2 level categories. I would like to have it aswell in the megamenu – listings categories:

Main category 1 - Sub 1.1 - Sub 1.2 - Sub 1.3

Main category 2 - Sub 1.1 - Sub 1.2 - Sub 1.3

Hi

Can’t find a place to add pictures to listing regions or listing categories like you guys have done in the demo home page.

And also don’t find where to add icons to menu like you guys did to Submit listing in the secondary menu for example.

Cheers, Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Those images are pulled from each of the listings under a particular category. For example, if you have 5 posts under “Chicago, IL”, the image on the homepage will pull one of those images. At this time, you can’t set a featured image for those homepage categories.

Here’s how to add an icon to the menu: http://listify.astoundify.com/article/257-adding-icons-to-menu-items
