Hello, your theme is very well designed for both desktop and mobile, great job. However, I am a bit concerned about the “live.rezync.com” & “pippio.com/api” loading extra scripts and constantly scanning my blog’s contents.
They appear to be marketing scripts with the sole purpose of tracking blog post data contents. Causing my blog HTTP requests to go over 150+, as opposed to the Ghost default theme which is less than 20. Below are a few scripts loaded:
https://live.rezync.com https://ib.adnxs.com https://p.rfihub.com https://rc.rlcdn.com https://i.liadm.com https://pippio.com and so on.I would like to remove this/these script(s) API from the blog, but I do not know where it/they is/are located.
Hi! The scripts are added using Disqus service and you can’t remove them. The theme does not include them. The best solution would be to use another comments service, like Hyvor Talk or Cove.

ok so my only problem with your themes is that they are all so extremely cool so I flat out don’t know which one to choose

Hey, Great work. I really like this theme. Just a quick question, I’m new to Ghost (I’ve always been working on WordPress). I’d like to know if it’s possible to switch the homepage for the “newsletter” page from the live preview in order to block the access to the site for people who aren’t members of the community. Once people are logged in, they can get access to the homepage. Thanks.

Hey there—I just installed Maido for ghost. My homepage has a grey gradient on it but the preview theme on Ghost does not. How do I remove this grey gradient background on the homepage and make it plain white as the preview looks? preview here: https://maido.fueko.net/
Hi! Ghost is adding a dark background by default in ‘General’ settings in the ‘Publication identity’ section. Just go to the ‘Publication cover’ and remove the background. This should fix the problem.

Hi, the error indicates that you are uploading the whole file downloaded from Themeforest. After downloading the file – unzip it – inside you will find proper theme files “maido-x.x.x.zip” and documentation.

Hello – I am a newbie to Ghost and themes. I am planning to launch a web magazine kind of site. This is an impressive theme, which matches the playful sensibility I am going for with the site.
Few questions before jumping in : 1. How tough will it be to add a new panel to the home layout. (eg: a video carousel, image carousel etc.). Also a banner on top with some major announcement etc. 2. How difficult will it be to add a new type of page, not included in the theme. (Eg: a page to house an immersive NY Times like data visualization etc) 3. Is the color overlay for post cards in the home screen selectable per post. I will be using powerful illustrations to get eyeballs, dont want color overlay to dilute the impact of illustrations. 4. My site will be a bilingual site, english and one other south asian language. Will that be challenging ? 5. I am currently playing around with a local ghost installation. If I make changes to the theme locally, will it be challenging to move it to server, when I eventually take a ghost installation ? 6. Is there any option for page level background ?

on #4 : I was implying I will have posts in both english and another language (Hindi), not about translating the theme etc. I would like to be able to show HIndi articles with an ornamental thick title font like you are using for english (Corben, I believe) – Using a font like this – https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Modak?preview.text=%E0%A4%AE%E0%A5%87%E0%A4%B0%E0%A4%BE+%E0%A4%A8%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%AE+%E0%A4%9C%E0%A5%8B%E0%A4%95%E0%A4%B0&preview.text_type=custom#standard-styles.
Should I be worried about tinkering with CSS to ensure, both English and HIndi fonts are displayed with right readability.
Hi, Modak this is a very illegible font. A much better choice would be Martel Sans, Eczar or Khula.

Wow, is all I can say! Incredibly designed theme, an insta-purchase from me. What really blew me away was when I checked the layout on mobile, that is above and beyond better than anything I’ve seen. On the theme demo page, I would recommend that you showcase the mobile and tablet layouts with screenshots, because this is where it really shines.

Hello, just purchased the article and tried installing it however installation fails with “fatal errors” and related to files missing. I wrote the author but will leave here the error for further information:

I noticed that your demo at https://maido-beta.fueko.net/ includes “posts” which have a nice coloured upper image and a thin line on their page with that corresponding color on the left side of the screen.
I’d like to reproduce that however the template once installed by default gets posts in white with no colour background or line (might be white an invisible though) on the left side.
Could you elaborate how can I enable this? If it’s done via code injection, can you provide a few representative examples?

To add color to the post card, please check the documentation, chapter “Customization >> Colors of posts…”. Then you can turn on the vertical line in post view >> documentation, chapter “Activation >> Color label…”
Hi, I’m starting to play around with the theme and I’ll likely have several more questions but here’s a few for now:
1) On the Sign In/Sign Up page. I’m actually seeing this issue on your demo theme and on my version as well (but only in Safari). I’m surprised I didn’t notice it before! The right side displays the sign in form, but the left side display overlapping images over recent posts. I’m referring to this page: https://maido.fueko.net/signin/ Anyway, I would like it to only display one image, similar to the Newsletter page: https://maido.fueko.net/newsletter/2) The search does not work for me on Safari. At least not your demo site. It does work on Chrome. Am I correct? Are there plans to make it work in Safari? I may be using an old version. Running 10.1.2
3) I was trying to test out the subscribe to Newsletter option with a separate email of mine. It worked, I received the email, but I wasn’t able to log out of the Account on the site. I had actually tested it with multiple emails so maybe that’s why? I had to restart Ghost and then it let me see the Sign In/Sign Up buttons again instead of Account.

Hi @andrewjcortesi! I checked Safari 10.1.2 and solved the problems you were talking about (point 1 and 2). The fix will be added to Maido in version 1.4.0.
