Sorry, if they are not neccessary, why don´t you remove those classes? And all the unneccessary markup? And then deliver your code with a flat structure like standard html templates?

good for copy-paste and not working too much on it just replace words, otherwise I wouldn’t recommend it, it’s way too hard to work on it since it’s a convert version of the original wordpress theme.
Hello, You are right. It is a WordPress convert. It is supposed to be for replacing content and images. But if you need some customization you can contact our Support support. If it is withing their scope they will guide you.
From looking through the code it’s easy to see that this theme was originally developed for wordpress using Visual Composer and then screen-scraped using HTTrack website copier.
As such there is loads of messy code all over the place from visual composer – which controls the layout of the body content.
Content blocks are in a nested DIV hell, sometimes up to 10 DIVs deep. This might be fine when managed in wordpress, as was originally intended. But when you are coding by hand this is horrendous to work with.
Loads of wordpress specific classes have been left in, for example in one body class:
page page-id-483 page-template-default melodyschool_body body_style_wide body_filled article_style_stretch layout_single-standard template_single-standard scheme_original top_panel_show top_panel_above sidebar_hide sidebar_outer_hide vc_responsive
All in all this makes it very hard to work with as there is so much stuff in the theme that is just not required.
Visually it looks really nice but under the surface it’s a right dogs dinner.

Yes, I rather wish I had checked more carefully, but I had not expected that anyone would produce an HTML theme this way. There is just so much junk markup in there that it makes it extremely hard to modify in any sort of meaningful way.
I would consider ease of modification to be a primary requirement for an HTML theme, much more so than a wordpress theme where much of the configuration and styling is abstracted through the GUI. In these cases the actual generated HTML markup does not matter so much, as no developer would expect to have to interact directly with it, this is not the case with an HTML theme where you have to do some hand-coding, even for a basic site.
I really don’t think that this theme is suitable for sale as an HTML theme – it is not of a professional standard. I have purchased a number of HTML themes and this is the first theme that I have had such an issue with.
In my opinion it should be withdrawn from sale and re-developed properly.

Well, precisely. Using visual composer to design an HTML theme is just crazy.
For instance, could you have a good guess at what the ‘descriptive’ class name ‘block_1462865672215’ might do, without looking at the source code?
Now picture someone trying to work with many such class names and deeply nested DIV structures. It’s just not manageable in any sensible way.
If you can suggest a way that the theme could be easily and sensibly modified I would love to hear it.
