Can we get a non-minified mentor.css?
The download package contains non-minified css also, see the docs for more info on where that it and how to use it.
For anyone else, it’s <root dir>\styles.css. I was expecting ‘mentor.css’.
Is it easy to add custom backgrounds to this template. Looks great, ready to buy, but need flexibility with backgrounds
Hope this helps,
By the way..Love the theme. Easy to follow documents, and great examples. Thanks for the work
We dont have any specific recommendations, but you could head over to CodeCanyon and there you would probably find something.
One thing to note, is that most background components are designed for large resolutions like 27” iMac screens and such large images would really slow down an iphone or android device if used in a responsive site.
What you would really need is a fullscreen image component which serves small resolution images for mobile and tablet devices, but large rez images for large monitors. We have done something like this, but it was part of our “Shutter” WordPress theme. We don’t actually have it as a standalong jQuery component though.
Perhaps ts something we could extract and upload as a standalone item in the future at some point.
Best of luck.
I want the unminify version of mentor.min.js. ASAP
Thanks for the feedback on the backgrounds. I think it’s a good idea and I hadn’t thought about it like that.
Another question. Do you have to create separate size images for all the various components, Thumbnails, carousels, backgrounds etc? or does the program do this for you? I’ve got a lot of images on this new site and just wondering best approach.
Thanks again. Customer is loving the look of their new site, this template is great.
Thanks for your kind words Greg,
mentor is a plain html template, as such, it cannot resizes images by itself, you’ll have to create the different required image sizes manually.
Best approach would be to create a macro and/or to use batch resize tools if you have lot of images.
Thanks for the excellent work! I have bought it!
I came only to inform about 2 little bugs I encountered on the theme.
1. “icon-white” doesn’t work inside dropdown menu
But the community and a bootstrap developer found that there was no problem in Bootstrap. Hence, the problem is in the theme.
2. Icons inside buttons are not properly aligned
When you use a icon inside a button, the vertical align is incorrect (not centralized). In this example you probably will see the bug:
<a href=”#” class=”btn first btn-success”><i class=”icon-plus-sign icon-white”></i> Button 1</a>
<a href=”#” class=”btn btn-info”><i class=”icon-arrow-left icon-white”></i> Button 2</a>
That is it! And thank you very much for the excellent theme!
thanks for your feedback, we’re going to check and fix the issue asap. You may want to register to our support forum because there we release small updates as soon as they’re ready (TF updates needs to be approved by a reviewer first)

Nice job on the template, I have purchased it. Did you generate the css using LESS ? And can you make the .less files available?
no, we don’t use less, just normal css. You can find all sources in the css folder
is there any trick to show the sidebar (i.e. contacts.html, <aside class=”span3 sidebar”>) on a mobile device (iPhone)?
the sidebar is hidden by default on low width devices (like phones), this behaviour is controlled by media queries and the following rule
you can change this behaviour using a custom css rule in style block placed after mentor.min.css has been loaded, this way it will overwrite the original rule.
if you need further help on the subject, please head to our support forum
Helo. I’m having trouble using the theme in internet explorer. Banners, CSS are completely different in the view. How do I solve this problem? I have done the whole site and just now noticed this problem! Sooner you can help me I’ll be grateful.
we have no problems with ie8-ie9 so maybe it’s due your specific customization of the template
please head to our support forum, create a new thread about it and provide a link to a page we can check.
please do not post links here in item comment
The update works perfectly!
where i can find the Item Purchase Code? I insert a code that I found but returns with an error. Do you have any email can i send the website link?
Go to your download page on Themeforest, for each purchased item there’s a link “Licence Certificate”, click, download and there you’ll find
Item Purchase Code: CODE HERE
OK! i create a new thread in Mentor forum with title “Error on IE”
I just checked your site and you have validation errors (unclosed tags).
Those are causing your issues with ie, fix them and it will work as expected.
Can you help me find this unclosed tags? Tks a lot!
Use an online markup validator and it will give you the line number of the unclosed tag in the error report.
Great theme. Just bought it.
I’m a rookie on this, so I have a basic question: how do I change the nav menu? I would like to remove the drop down list on the portfoli tab for example.
I think I managed to learn how to change the navbar. So no need for help on that right now.
A question: is it possible to make a red skin changing, for example, the orange skin? Is it easy? I just have to find the orange color code and change it for the red code on the CSS skin file?
I just installed this theme on worpdress 3.4, but it says that ther’s a css missing file.
Mentor is not a WordPress Theme therefore you cannot install it in WordPress. Mentor is a HTML /CSS Template.
Where can I buy the customer service lady image used in this template?
Here you go http://photodune.net/item/helpline-operator-with-laptop-computer/1057469
Would have been nice if we can purchase the image that fits the placeholder. I dont know how to cut it. Can u do this for me?
Unfortunately image preparation is not part of the support we provide for our buyers. You will be able to cut that out of the image using any image editing software.
Use, by you or one client, in a single end product which end users are not charged for. The total price includes the item price and a buyer fee.
