I think you need to have a 3rd party plugin like Yoast SEO to set a ‘noindex’ on the taxonomy URLs.

I’m not quite sure about this. For this topic, you can ask Yoast SEO and ask them if they have a feature to remove hyperlinks from taxonomies.

Unfortunately, there is no such functionality in Mercury. You need to have a 3rd party plugin for redirection instead.

Just to clarify – I meant the hyperlinks on the taxonomies in the reviews.

We remember that for example “restricted countries” were not hyperlinked to a ”/restricted-countries/” taxanomy page, while all others are.

Hello and thank you. But if the scrolling feature is enabled, any casino (even without a play now link) is showing a floating ‘play now’, just with a link to the same post url. is that by design or mistake?

Yes, there’s a way to apply dark colors to the background area / section of a page or posts. However, the background color will only be visible if you set your theme to have this option ‘Enable boxed layout’ via Appearance > Customize > Other settings.

Hi there, by default WordPress will not allow two pages or posts to share the same slug.

But, I think with Polylang Pro it’s possible to achieve that as they have feature to allow you to share the same slug between translations for all types of content, pages, posts, categories, tags, media, and custom taxonomies.

so yes, Polylang Pro (PLL) has the feature for sharing identical slug across languages, which works in most cases, but there is a scenario with Mercury/Aces where it doesn’t work:

The same slug cannot be shared for Casino custom taxonomy terms.

For example, in my bilingual DE / FR site, the custom taxonomy “software” is translated via Polylang Pro liek this: casinospiele-hersteller (de), logiciels-de-casino (fr),

In this taxonomy, I create terms fro each languages, but if I use the same term in both languages, for example mastercard, then the (de) URL /casinospiele-hersteller/mastercard/ will be 301 redirected to the (fr) URL /fr/logiciels-de-casino/mastercard/ – which is not suppose to happen.

I have been in touch with PLL team for a week they kindly looked into the codebase, and unfortunately they concluded they have identified a conflict with the Aces plugin.

Would you be so kind as to look into the Aces plugin and identify a potential issue, and provide maybe a fix/hack to overcome this?
