Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a "Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

I’m missing some options, I can only see a few in ‘Theme Options’, where are the rest?

There are only a few basic options in the ‘Theme Options’ panel found under ‘Appearance > Theme Options’, the remainder of styling is done in the ‘WP Customizer’ which you’ll find by going to ‘Appearance > Themes’ and clicking ‘Customize’ next to your active Metrolium theme.

The reason why the styling options are not in the admin panel (Theme Options) is because with the WP Customizer you will see a real time preview of your changes as you make them. So, colors, fonts, font sizes, background colors and so on will all update instantly without page reload and without needing to switch tabs back and forth (the old boring way). =)

I’m getting a PHP parse error

PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /path/to/your/public_html/wp-content/themes/Metrolium/backend/custom-post-types/custom-post-types.php on line 147

Please update your Metrolium version, we added backwards compatibility for older versions of PHP in Metrolium v1.1. Metrolium now works with PHP 5.2 and above.
