Hi, Great work, love this theme ! Nevertheless, facing a few problems.
I can’t seem to create a child theme, because Minifo is already a child theme of Layers. How can I solve that ?
I woud like to change “minifo_portfolio” slug, but can’t find any option.
I would like to insert widgets in portfolio items content, is it possible ?

How can I create a Minifo Child Theme to prevent from losing customizations when I want to upgrade ?
Minifo itself a child theme. You don’t need to create another child theme
But what happens when I update Minifo ? I guess functions.php and all the other child theme files are replaced…? So, how do I keep my child theme customizations ?

I don’t want to open a ticket, I just need some information because documentation doesn’t mention updates.
So let me be clear : How can I update Minifo ? And what happens when I update ? Is all the minifo folder replaced in wordpress theme folder ? Can I add code to functions.php or other files without them being deleted ?
This is the main purpose of a child theme, so if we can’t do this, the theme is unusable.

Hi, As Minifo it self a Child theme, so you can create a plugins or add your code to functions.php file. Don’t forget to take a backup before updating a theme.

Is it a joke ? Create a plugin not to lose small customizations ? Sorry but I’m really disappointed with this theme.
1. No possible customizations with a child theme because it’s already a child theme (and Layers theme… seriously ???).
2. No customization with Layers because free version included, so you have to pay another 60$ to get Layers Pro, even for such basic things as button colors or title styling or blog configuration or….... And it seems that it’s not even working, based on the comments above. And even the pro version is very poor.
3. And above all, theme is not SEO friendly. For example, “Content” widget items titles are H5, and you don’t even have an option to change them like the widget title one. On the blog or category pages, you just can’t add a page title ! And if you want to edit the template files to do so, you lose everything after update…
This theme is beautiful if you can use it out of the box, but unusable if you need customizations.
