I've built two sites with this theme now. They look entirely different from one another, which is exactly what a good theme should allow. Sometimes, I wish they'd update the theme a bit more quickly to support the most recent Wordpress updates, but I understand this isn't their only theme to maintain. Most negative comments and poor reviews are user inexperience... mostly. This theme has had past issues with the included plugins, but 99% of it done perfectly. That warrants five stars.
Website crashes every time I try to use this theme. Gone back to Betheme which never gives me issues

The customer support for elated themes and for Moose is exceptional and easy to understand and implement. If I have to purchase a theme I also go for Elated before anyone else.

I am a novice when it comes to development, coding, and WordPress in general. At some point in working with this template, I ran into minor issues. I contacted customer support and they got back to me fairly quickly and were very helpful. This overall template is pretty easy to use and very sharp looking. There were a few little bugs in the beginning (mostly due to my lack of experience), but they were pretty easy to fix after contacting customer support. I highly recommend this template if you need something easy to use with a lot of versability/flexibility.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with it! It is complex, there are a lot of settings to get to know, but that means a lot of room for customization.
The support staff has made this all workable - they are extremely helpful and responsive. I've learned alot from them, and greatly appreciate it!
I love this theme, so many great options in it and lots i still haven't explored.

Good but VC is a bit bloated with information, could be cleaner...
A Great theme with loads of various features to choose from. Importing demo content was easy and the layout of where you can make customisations has been well thought out and also very easy to use.
Support when needed is reasonably prompt and always helpful.
Code quality is excellent.
Happy to highly recommend this theme. Well done guys!

One of the most disappointing purchases I've ever made. Where to start?
Much of the styling is grouped in a haphazard way, and styles affect each other when they should be independent. Select a "large" title, and it not only changes the size, it changes the font. Change the width/length of the "separator" lines on either side of the title, and that also changes the line spacing.
Which brings up naming. Under Portfolio, they say "portfolio item" when they mean "portfolio." A "portfolio item" should be a single piece of work. But these are projects or galleries. They say "portfolio project" in docs and the interface, but there is no option called "portfolio project."
Sadly, unless you import the massive demo data, it's virtually impossible to figure out how to do certain things that are in the demo. Even if you do import, good luck figuring out where to tweak. Info Box Masonry Style Portfolio? There are no templates/settings under the Portfolio tab, or in settings for a portfolio, for things like "info box" and "masonry". The docs seem to imply you need to use their much-touted shortcodes in order to get those features – but the docs have no example of syntax or usage.
Portfolio: I finally gave up on using this, and tried switching to Masonry Gallery. Even if I added a "link", the user would have to click a tiny icon, rather than clicking anywhere on the image to see a larger version. When I tried adding a button, none appeared, even though I added a name. Is an icon actually required? I don't want one. And square - small images: broken. No image.
As for Visual Composer? Unusably slow – at least on my connection. Takes 1min 45secs to load in a post or page editor. I'll never get another theme that requires it.
The authors seem like they're trying hard to give good support, but users shouldn't have to open a ticket when an intuitive interface would suffice.
After wasting two days trying to customize this theme, I'm looking for a new one.

We think it's fair to try to contact our support first regarding all the theme related questions, before leaving such a bad review. Our support agents will try to assist you for all the doubts you have related to our theme. Can you please try to get in touch with them by submitting a ticket at https://elated.ticksy.com . Also, all theme layout can be seen in theme demo, and options for custom post type are very basic and according to Custom Post Types functionality which WordPress offers. Visual Composer plugin can be little slower depending on connection and server speed, but plugin is most powerful page builder and it is widely used.
We really hope this can be improved and you will change this bad impression you've got. In case that our theme is too complicated for you and you don't want to use it, you can submit a refund request and we will discuss it there.
