Is this theme going to be updated at all? Woocommerce is on version 5.2 and Wordpress is now 5.7

By the way, if you have a look in Item Details on theme page now, you will notice that versions of both WordPress and WooCommerce are up to date. Meanwhile, we’re already working on an update.

I think you have a big bug in “wp-content\themes\nels\languages\nels.pot”
Translations that are programmed in the .php files in the following way…
_n( '%s product', '%s products', (int) $category->count, 'nels' )
... are not properly mapped in the file: wp-content\themes\nels\languages\nels.pot
Which is the original file from which the translations are derived.
When creating a new translation for a language (vía Loco Translate, for example) a .PO file is generated in…
wp-content\languages\loco\themes\nels-es_ES.po
... which contains the terms to be translated based on the template nels.pot.
The problem is that the translations for singular/plural coming from the call: _n(), should be formatted as follows:
#: templates/partials/woocommerce/content-product-cat.php:50 #, php-format msgid "%s product" msgid_plural "%s products" msgstr[0] "%s producto" msgstr[1] "%s productos"
But instead they are formatted as follows:
#: templates/partials/woocommerce/content-product-cat.php:50 #, php-format msgid "%s product" msgstr ""
So in the Loco Translate interface, we are not offered its singular/plural translation.
And then, when displaying the plural term in WordPress, it will never be translated.

You have a bug in “ShopTemplateHelper.php”: function showProductImages
Featured image is showing twice.
This is because $postThumbnailId
is a string, and $variation['image_id']
is an integer, and you are using the !==
comparison operator.
In my case, IDK if it’s the default behaviour, but for every variation, the “Featured Image ID” is returned to: $variation['image_id']
, even when no image is assigned to the variation.

As per WooCommerce method definition in both cases the expected return type is string, see https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/blob/master/includes/abstracts/abstract-wc-product.php#L669 for $postThumbnailId and https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/blob/master/includes/class-wc-product-variation.php#L368 for $variation[‘image_id’].
Therefore we used the identity operator instead of equality. We tried to simulate the bug, but we could not reproduce it.
Could please send us an email to studio@pikarthouse.com and describe the necessary steps to reproduce it? Few screenshots will also help.

Sorry for the delay in replying (hard week work).
I used gettype( $postThumbnail )
and gettype( $variation['image_id'] )
and the results were string
and int
respectively so the $postThumbnailId !== $variation['image_id']
doesn’t work for me.
I fixed it with this: $postThumbnailId = intval( $product->get_image_id() );
I am using: WordPress v5.6 / WooCommerce v4.8.0 / Nels v1.2.6
I guess with this data you should be able to replicate the behaviour.

I am using nels theme for a long time.. But i just saw that i don’t get the the theme updates for long time as well.. I have Nels 1.2.0 and Nels child 1.0.0 on my website and it does not show any updates.. Also some plugins does not work correctly.. And i have “_MacOSX Stylesheet is missing.” warning on themes section..My site is live right now and i do not want to broke anything..Do you have any advice for that ?

Hi, i have a problem with this theme. I installed and activated the theme but some of the icons in the Header are not loading ( Wishlist, account etc..) . when i tried to install another purchased plugin. it leads to 404 Error page .

I want to update my portfolio look on https://alakarlijn.nl/. I cannot change the post grid that is allready there. So if I make a new ‘post grid’ element it will show in WPBakery Page builder and I can see al my work. But as soon as I save the page and look at it without page builder it only shows the loading icon. Hope you can help me.

Hi, I install this theme on my website but I can’t Activate RevolutionSlider and WPBakery page builder because there is a message “Update required”. When I clicked on this, I see update screen and then after “update” i can go back to the list of plugins. When I go back the version of plugin is still the same and “Update required” message is still there. What can I do with this?
