Please update to fix Admin Redirects issue

Hi everyone, we are migrating and upgrading our forums for being able to provide better support, because the updates checking function in the theme will look for the old server, your admin will be redirected as the old server returns a “not-found” message then redirects the page.

Sorry for the inconvenience. An update has been released a week ago to cover this issue, please update your Nextbiz theme to fix the issue.

This issue won’t affect site front-end, once your Nextbiz get updated, the admin redirect issue gone.

Here the changed files in the latest version of 1.4.4

Modified core/load.php
Modified core/classes/class.template.php
Modified core/templates/default/index.php
Modified style.css
Modified admin/admin.php

The support forum link in v1.4.4 is updated too, you can visit the new forums from the admin or here now.

Sorry again and hope everything is ok.

I would like to disable the menu (navigation bar). How do I do this? Specifically in the mobile version.

You can use CSS to hide it:

#header-menu select {display:none}

Also, is it possible to have the contact form redirect to a URL when the form is submitted?

The native contact form doesn’t have a feature like that, you might want to check if the plugin Contact Form 7 does, Nextbiz includes CSS code for Contact Form 7 to look like a part of the theme.

The slides in the theme do not show up on mobile devices. Is there a setting to allow the slides to show?

The Nextbiz Slider design on smartphones are different than it on tablet/desktop, it’s a vertical design, only the main image will be displayed, all extra images are hidden as you see.

If you need it exactly the same as tablet/desktop version, use the premium slider Revolution Slider that included in the theme, which the slider has the same looking across phone/tablet/desktop and more advanced options. I have made a sample base on the first slide on your site. Drop me a line via my profile page and I’ll send it to you.

ive sent a message direct via your addway profile page – thank you

We noticed there are no alt attributes applied to the elements in the portfolio pages. Is there something we need to enable to have alt attributes for the thumbnail and full images?

Fixed in incoming update, thanks for issue report, really appreciate it!

Is there a time frame for the next update? We are optimizing the site and need those alt tags in place. Or can you just point us to the file where it generates the img element. Thanks!

There is some bugs in the update found during testing phase, we have postponed the release until they are fixed. But the ALT issue has been fixed with one file updated, if you cannot wait the update, please drop me a line via my profile page and I’ll send the file to you.

Hi, Great theme. But i have only one question. I see some slides tend to move out of designated range after a while. Is there a fix for that? The slider options is, off course, set on ‘locked’ Thanks in advance! Bram

You Are right! It’s Firefox 29.0 Beta only. Many Thanks!

One last thing, How do i use the contact Ajax widget in the footer? In the widget menu under appareance, i cant find the nextbiz contact option.

It’s a shortcode, all you need to do is entering ‘[contactform]’ into a text widget and place it where you want.

I would like to change the height of the slider on the home page (page 3). Is there a simple way to do this?

Forget what I wrote earlier. I eventually did it the way you suggested and it works fine. Thank you

Then just upload the image from the theme folder and you are fine to go :)

That’s what I have done. Thanks!

I need to change the position of the Logo, where i cando that change ?

In your WP Admin, go to Nextbiz > Settings > Header > Logo, enable Instant Position there, then go back to the web page and drag the logo to where you want it be.

I´m using the [list_works] shortcode on my home page, in descendent order and i have 12 portfolio itens that i want to show, separeted by categories but in the home page just show until number 9, the 10, 11 and 12 are not showed, what i need to do ?

solved, don´t worry about that. Tks

Hi guys sorry, but I looked for a bug report link on your forum, but couldn’t find it. Experiencing an issue with tab code inserted into a toggle. If you have 2 tab groups within the same page, you’re likely to see tabs from the other tab group inserted into the other. Code is clean, triple checked :-( Wanna see an example: check the last toggle on the left, and tab group on the right. You’ll see what I mean. Thanks for your help. Cheers

found a hack, by creating an empty tab, with empty title in the tab group from the right. It’s not optimal as it doesn’t definitely fix the bug, but will do the job for now.

I have been trying to get support on the below topic through the forums, but have not heard anything for almost a month. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TOPIC: I would like to move the portfolio categories at the top of the four column grid to the left side as (sidebar categories) and have the portfolio thumbnail grid items appear to the right of the categories.

In order for this new layout to work, I would need the sidebar categories on the left and a thumbnail grid of 2 or 3 columns on the right.

I did find that if I removed the float left from .horiz-list li in the CSS then the categories appear on the left side, but I can’t move the thumbnail grid to the right area.

Thanks for any help!

Hi christo101, I did see your post, normally I will post an answer as I did in other posts, but that is not an easy customization (moving the grid to right is easy but its just a start, a serial of changes will follow may or may not include thumbnail size change, columns number/margin change, influence on mobile devices, etc.), so I moved your post to the forum for discussing customization to see if there is someone would help. I’m sorry that nobody gives a reply, if you do need that and can wait, I can offer a paid service later, not soon because I had a tight schedule on my current project.

Ok. For anyone who is wanting a side navigation for the portfolio area instead of a top level navigation. Here is the code you can insert into the Custom Styles > CSS area:

#portfolio-filter { float: left; width: 25%; } #portfolio-filter li { float: none;} ul.portfolio-list { float: right; width: 72%; clear: none; }

Just updated to latest theme and the “Header + Slider Background” on the home page is resizing. Settings are no-repeat and top centre. We need it to be fixed in size. not having this issue with the “Header Background” with the same settings.

Also the mobile nav bar has been pushed above the logo on and it needs to remain below where it was before the update.? The main nav also moves to the top of the page when browser is smaller.

We haev the following code in the css at the moment;

header {height:220px}

.post .more-link:hover { background-image: linear-gradient(top, #6b6b6b 0%, #5b5b5b 100%); background-image: -o-linear-gradient(top, #6b6b6b 0%, #5b5b5b 100%); background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #6b6b6b 0%, #5b5b5b 100%); background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #6b6b6b 0%, #5b5b5b 100%); background-image: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #6b6b6b 0%, #5b5b5b 100%);

background-image: -webkit-gradient(
    left top,+
    left bottom,
    color-stop(0, #6b6b6b),
    color-stop(1, #5b5b5b)
filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#6b6b6b', endColorstr='#5b5b5b'); }

.post .more-link { background-image: linear-gradient(top, #ffc982 0%, #f05412 100%); background-image: -o-linear-gradient(top, #ffc982 0%, #f05412 100%); background-image: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #ffc982 0%, #f05412 100%); background-image: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #ffc982 0%, #f05412 100%); background-image: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #ffc982 0%, #f05412 100%);

background-image: -webkit-gradient(
    left top,
    left bottom,
    color-stop(0, #ffc982),
    color-stop(1, #f05412)
filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr='#ffc982', endColorstr='#f05412'); }

main-nav > li {float: left; padding: 0 23px; margin-bottom:20px;}

logo { position: absolute; left: 0; top: 10px; }

Thanks in advance.

Can you send a link for me to see these issues?

At this stage we will be staying with the old version as it works well and we don’t have the time to fix any issues. Can you provide a reason why the “Header + Slider Background” only is the issue?

The background size is always fixed, no changes are made on that part. I have checked, after seeing your question, both our demo site (which is upgraded from old version, just like your site) and local development site (which is always the latest version), but couldn’t reproduce the issue, no matter if the default background or uploading a new one.

I don’t know how it could be resizing on your site, I’d like to help but I have to see the issue.

Hello, I got an email regarding the security issue with this theme. If I am not using the sliders on my site, do I need to do anything still?

Thanks, Erin

Nothing if you don’t use the slider, otherwise, please download again to get the latest version which has the plugin updated

Note: I posted this same question a couple of weeks ago in the support forum, and was hoping to find an answer.

I noticed that when the portfolio thumbnails are displayed or sorted, the images will bump against each other. This also happens on the Live Preview site that Addway created on ThemeForest.

Is there a way to fix this? In my case I am using a three column portfolio, and the portfolio list thumbs are randomly losing 5px of left padding, so they end up touching each other.

An update was almost done, it will fix the issue you reported, and also introduces vary column sizes to automatically fit different devices screen, there is still a few works like major browsers testing to do before release, I will finish them after I leave hospital (tomorrow)

Thank you! Hope you are feeling well. Great support as always. All the best!

Problems with the navigation dropdown lists – I am in the process of setting up a new website, and initially had no problems with the drop down lists of the navigation appearing. For some reason they have now ceased to appear. Having searched high and low I am now giving up finding the solution myself – are you able to point me in the right direction please? Website is at Many thanks.

It sounds like a plugin conflict, please deactivate all third-party plugins and try again. If it still not working, please send the credential of your site via my profile page so that I can log in to troubleshoot this issue.
