The paid plugin is indeed included. This needs to be clearly stated in the package download. Other users have also encountered lack of customizability issues.
Took a few days , but the theme support clarified the inclusion.

This theme was fairly easy to use and I'm not at all familiar with WordPress. Subsolar support has been excellent. They typically respond within 8 to 12 hours. The only thing I don't like, which is why its not a 5-star is the downloads page is basic and not easy to customize. It really needs a book gallery with a nice template where multiple books can be listed with a nice page header, a short description of the book perhaps. The page is called "downloads" and should probably just be called gallery or books or something like that with the options to allow downloads if one chooses. I'm not offering downloads, its basically an advertising site for my books that I will link back to Amazon. Although this downloads page does display multiple books its not nice looking. Thanks
