Here is how the Setting generally work

The settings in the Appearance > Customize panel are global, meaning that they influence every page on the site by default. On the other hand, you have an option to override these settings on a per page basis. If you take a look at the bottom of the page edit form, you will notice the Override Global Setting part in Settings Section – here you can override global settings for every page.

If you set the sidebar to be visible globally you can hide it using override sidebar with value no_sidebar. Vice versa, if you hide it globally, you can display it on individual pages by using override sidebar with value right or left depending on where you want to position it.

There are two methods – one is to edit Footer widgets area on Appearance > Widgets panel.

The second is to use so called Footer page. If you go to Appearance > Customize > Header and Footer, you can add a slug of a static page to Footer Page Slug field.

Once you do that, the content of that page will be the footer of all pages throughout the site. This gives you much greater flexibility then using widgets – you can have the same layout in the footer as on any static page.

Currently there is no consistent technical solution for enabling the background video on mobile platforms across all devices. That is why the video set as the background of the section falls back to background image on mobile devices on organic-food.

You can always embed the video as part of the content, but not as the content background.

As soon as the general solution appears, we will integrate it into our framework.
