In “Appearance” i am facing problem without “Header Screen”, which I suppose you are not allowing in the theme, I can not upload my logo. Any suggestion how to upload my logo? Cheers
You can upload your logo of the top navigation in Theme Options -> Navigation.
Also, if you’re looking for uploading the banner image in the header (title area), please set it in Theme Options -> Title Area. You can also set it for individual page by editing each page and change the Title Area in Overlap Options at the bottom of the page.

Please make sure you’ve installed and activated Wyde Core plugin that came bundled with the theme. After you activate this plugin you will see Theme Options on your admin menu and admin top bar. Also, please follow the instructions in our documentation on installing the theme and importing demo content.

Normally, if you logged in with the account as admin role that have permission to manage settings you will see Theme Options panel in the admin bar on WordPress admin page so you can customize header section and all theme settings on that panel.

After you install it, you can simply activate this plugin on Plugins page like other plugins or activate on the bundled plugins page as the documentation we provided.
You don’t need to activate (register) this plugin on Revolution Slider page, this option is for registering a purchase code that is available for users who have purchased it individually.

You can manually import full demo by using WordPress Importer plugin as we provided in the documentation so you will receive all demo content with images that will help you easily edit your site.
unfortunately text alignment is so different on demo you have on your site and the one we got as template is so different there is no instruction how to fix it , Demo should as you are showing on your site even i have imported the demo but it is complete of tex alignment kindly help i have wasted lot of time with it , it is not letting me go any where with it. I’m not sure where the text you’d like to change the alignment. If you’re talking about the text below “We Are Repairs”. I see your texts have custom styles with the extra vertical space.
If you copy them from another place, you should remove the old format first. Click on a rubber icon (Clear Formatting) to clear it.
However, in this theme you can change the text alignment in 2 options as follows:
1. In the column settings, when you edit the column you will see the Text Alignment option.
2. If you’re using Text Block element you can select the alignment icon in the text editor toolbar.
If it still doesn’t work, please send us any screenshot of this issue directly to our email.
Regarding the demo content, the latest update of this theme comes with the exactly demo content as the same as you can see on our demo sites. Please make sure you have the latest update of demo content.

1. Your Google fonts plugin sets all P elements to ‘Roboto’ font with the size 30px that breaks your footer text and some texts on your site. You should remove your custom CSS or deactivate this plugin and use the Typography Options in Theme Options instead. You can create your site looks like our demo sites without using any other plugin. Deactivating unnecessary plugins on your site can increase your server performance and reduce the download times.
2. You can edit your portfolio posts in Portfolios, add the description and featured image like a blog post. You can also enable page builder on portfolio post in Visual Composer -> Role Manager, change Post types to “Custom” and select “wyde_portfolio” so you can build your portfolio post with Visual Composer page builder.
3. Don’t worry, the theme updating will not affect your current data and settings. Please follow the instructions in our documentation so you can update the theme without losing changes. Firstly, go to Theme Options -> Footer to see what’s the page you selected as footer content. Then navigate to Pages to edit that footer page.
What is the best size and resolution to upload logo?
The best size of the normal logo is 100px in height and 80px for the sticky logo so it will also support retina display after resizing to fit within the header menu.
I bought your theme because of its suitable design and other requirements matching my business. I must say it is a beautifully design. But I am facing problem that my theme installer, I have hired from Envato Studio, is failed to install demo images. They are of the view that the theme author is not allowing to use demo images. However, you can manually import full demo content by using WordPress Importer plugin, simply upload XML file that you can see in the folder “Demo Content” as we provided in our documentation.

Unfortunately, we use Redux Framework to create Theme Options panel and it doesn’t allow us to add new fonts since it loads Google Fonts automatically. We’ll look into it to find any solution for adding custom fonts to typography options.

After installing, we found out that we can not access the Visual Composer Frontend Editor on any page.
While we are able to access the Visual Composer Backend Editor, the Frontend Editor option either seems to have been removed from all pages editable by Visual Composer.
As novices to web design, the Frontend Visual Composer editor is vital for us to set up our new site!
How do we get the Frontend Editor turned back on?

We realize that the frontend seems to be easier and you can see what you’re editing. With the backend, it looks simple but you can see the whole structure of the page and it’s faster since it just displays the structure of elements and there is no frontend scripts and styles to load.
We usually use the backend editor to build the whole pages on our demo sites and we can quickly build the page so we recommend you to use it instead of the frontend.

Looks like your host couldn’t complete the importing demo so some images haven’t been imported yet. When you import XML file by using WordPress Importer plugin, it can take several minutes to complete the process. If your host configuration limits are set too low to complete the process, it will stop while importing.
However, you should manually replace those images with yours since all demo images are not included with your purchase.
We’re sorry, I suppose this is a compatibility issue since we’ve never tested on this browser at all. Please use the browsers in support list instead.
What should I do if I want to make this browser compatible? After all, the Chinese people use a lot of the browser!
You should add custom CSS in your child theme to override the styles so it probably works on this browser and you can update the theme normally without losing changes.

Last thing I found is that there is a problem with the menu. Usually wordpress allows you to use a # in the custom links field for parent menu elements however on this theme using # takes you to an about:blank page which is a big problem for mobile menus that have drop down elements.

As you can see on our demo site, the parent menu Pages, Blog, Portfolio are all the custom links with a # of URL and they’re working fine.

We use hardware-accelerated CSS that can take advantage of GPU acceleration and can perform faster than is possible in browsers running on the CPU.
Also, this theme includes only essential elements and light weight of resource files that can reduce the download times.
Also, all images are optimized and responsive by using srcset and sizes attributes that’s different from Flora and Vela.

While waiting for your response i perform some tests on my own on Vela, Flora and Overlap. The results are not always showing that Overlap perform better on page load for example.
To be fair, flicker dont help Overlap because it takes sometimes 25% of the page load times. Another factor is that Overlap loads way more images, so it takes a lot of times too, and take a shit load of MB ! Why does it load so many thumbnails for example in the case of the porfolio (http://wydethemes.com/overlap/home/home-corporate/) instead of loading them only if the user over this portfolio element ? Maybe it’s the job of a caching plugin maybe, or maybe Wordpress dont allow it ?
So my question is, for example if i switch from Vela to Overlap, could i improve my users experience and loadspeed in general ? I would say yes, looking at the number of request and code size both Vela and Overlap generate, but i’m not sure. (Overlap does in fact load way less scripts and css files)
Also one last thing, does Overlap like previous theme use Bootstrap ?

You can see using this report that a loot of font files are loaded, some twice, i’m not too sure why ?
1. Overlap is completely different from Vela theme, it’s not compatible with shortcodes/elements from Vela. You’ll need to re-build/re-create your pages if you’d like to switch from Vela. But it’s not much different between Overlap and Flora since both have been developed from the same frameworks and features. Grid layout of Overlap and Flora based on Bootstrap but there is no CSS and JS files of Bootstrap in this theme, we just implement a grid layout that is the most popular one in the market.
2. The bug on the Contact Us page has been fixed in the recent updates of this theme, thanks so much for reporting this issue.
3. You can set the diffetent fonts for the Heading elements in this theme so these fonts have been loaded separately. You can reduce the number of files by using the same font for heading elements. But they should be loaded once. thanks for reporting this issue, we will look into this.

As you can see in File requests details on your speed test results, there are 6 requests for font loading but these’re for different fonts. Each font has been loaded only once, for example see the below images:
I’m not sure what you mean, because in results i see 4 lato loads, and 2 oswald loads for example.

Even you see the same font name such as Lato 4 times but they’re all different files as you see their paths in the image and each of them has different file size.
If you’re using the different weights and styles of Lato font, your site will load more than one file since each of weights and styles locates on different paths.
For example, the below link will import Lato font for 400 and 300 of weight with Italic style.

Fonts are from google sure, so nothing you can do for .woff files, but for requests like that : https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Inconsolata not so sure.
I mean the link of .woff files are generated by Google but the link in your comment is generated by the theme. BTW, I never know that there are duplicated links, they should be added only once for each font. We’ll need to check it.
Hey. In case you missed this post: The portfolio grid is only making a lightbox when clicked, not going to the actual portfolio item. Is there something that must be turned on to fix this? I tried looking in the portfolio settings, visual composer, and theme settings but I cannot find how to fix it.
There is no setting for this, it will always go to the portfolio detail page as you can see on our demo sites. Sounds like the there is a plugin conflict on your site. If you have other plugins, try deactivating them one by one to see if it works. If it still doesn’t work, please send us your site URL, we’ll need to investigate this issue on your live site.

Don’t worry! This is just a bug with a line of code that is not working on PHP 5.3, it will be fixed in the next update that will be available to download within 24 hours. You can easily fix it now by replacing a line of code.
I have just purchased this theme today and installed it on a new WP installation with no existing pages (clean install). I then activated all the required plugins (no additional plugins have been installed). I then installed the demo content and I can see the pages created in the admin, but they do not display on the frontend. Only the menu appears. Looking at the code I can see that nothing appears between and the page never loads.
The php.ini is set to the required memory limits etc, and the backend admin all works as normal.

Same issue as danielfrancavilla’s comment: page does not load. This is on a fresh WP Install, all up to date, etc. Have reset wordpress and reimported all content; still nothing. None of the pages load; even the simplest ones.

Sounds like this is a title area background issue, try choosing a background image in Theme Options -> Title Area. Also this issue has been fixed in the next update that will be available to download in a couple of days.
Great theme! Is it possible to use visual composer composium upgrade with this site. There are a few VC options that I would like to add to my page that aren’t currently offered.
Also, is there a way to do gradient backgrounds on the rows as well?
Some elements and options of VC have been disabled since this theme has its own custom elements and options to use instead of the old ones. Could you let me know what are the options you’d like to add to your page, maybe I could help you bring them back.
This theme has no gradient background option on the row since it is not in the theme design, please use the background color overlay instead. However, if you’d like you can create the gradient background image and set it as the background of the row instead.

Actually when you click on a portfolio featured image, it will always go to the portfolio detail page as you can see on our demo sites.
