hello, very nice theme, it looks great. I will probably purchase it. I`ve only two questions: is it possible to place a header photo above all sites? And is it possible to display only the first project of each the works (in your case the first of “art direction”, the first of “illustration” ....)?

thanks a lot

Hi there,

glad you find the theme great-looking! Thank you for taking an interest in it. :)

To answer your questions:

1) Yes, it is certainly possible to place a header photo with a bit of customization work.

2) Yes, you could publish those projects that you want to display, and make the other ones invisible for your users.

Enjoy working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Sincerely,

OnionEye

hi! I like very very much the theme, but I would like to know a couple of things before deciding whether to buy it. I need to add a slider as header, Is it posible to do that with a pluggin? Is it easily costumize? And also How easily is adding multilingual options to the theme?... And I was wondering if there’s any way to try out a demo? Do you have one?

Thanks a lot!

Hi there,

glad you like the theme! Thank you for taking an interest in it!

To answer your questions:

1) Yes, you can use the meta slider plugin, that comes with the theme. You would have to embed it as a shortcode in one of the theme’s template files, which is a task for a WordPress developer, but not a hard one fortunately. However, if you are not a developer, I suggest hiring someone to quickly complete this task for you.

2) One of my customers reported that the popular multilanguage plugin, “qTranslate,” works with the theme. Here’s exactly what she said:

Ok I did find a solution with qTranslate that works with your theme :) It’s only missing a way to translate the portfolio filter, but I can live with that.

And here is the portfolio in question, where you can see this in action: http://www.ninacaniac.com/

By the way, I recommend trying WPML as well, which is one of the most popular multilanguage plugins, alongside qTranslate.

3) ThemeForest, and none of the other marketplaces, that I am aware of, offer the ability to take the theme for a spin, so I am afraid this is not possible.

That’s it. Hope this answers all of your questions!

Sincerely,

OnionEye

Thanks very much! I think it’s just what I need :)

Excellent! You are very much welcome. :)

Hi, i’d like to know if this theme is WPML or Polylang compatible, thx.

Hi there,

thank you for taking an interest in the Peak theme! Appreciate it.

As far as your question goes, one of my customers reported that the popular multilanguage plugin, “qTranslate,” works with the theme. Here’s exactly what she said:

Ok I did find a solution with qTranslate that works with your theme :) It’s only missing a way to translate the portfolio filter, but I can live with that.

When it comes to WPML, it is a premium plugin, so I can not confirm its capability with the theme unfortunately, because I don’t have access to it. However, I don’t see anything in the theme that would conflict with the plugin, so I think it’s safe to assume that you should be able to run it without any major problems.

Hello,

i want the size of the thumbnails to be the same on the grid like your other theme Omm. Is that possible?

Thank you.

Hi there,

this is certainly possible with a bit of development work. A skillful developer should be able to complete this task pretty quickly.

Hi

I am interested in buying this theme.

I really like how the design however i’m not keen on the portfolio navigation and having to scroll all the way to the top to see the menu and filters after scrolling all the way to the bottom after viewing a portfolio post.

Would there be any way to make the menu + filters fixed so when you scroll down the page they travel with page?

Cheers

Hi there,

thank you for taking an interest in the theme!

As far as your question goes, this is not available out of the box, but would be possible with a bit of CSS customization. It’s certainly a task for a developer, albeit not a tough one.

Have fun working with the Peak theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Hi! I completely love this theme, I’ve played on it for about an hour now. My concern is though, before I buy it – I’m 110% a newbie. Is this going to be simple enough for me to just install and go? And will it look exactly like the live preview that I’ve been obsessed with for the last hour?

Hi there,

glad you love the theme! Thank you for taking an interest in it. :)

As far as your questions go, the theme is really easy to set up, but if you are completely new to WordPress, then I suggest getting up and running with it first, instead of jumping straight into themes.

There are some really nice video tutorials, that cover the most important features of WordPress, so I suggest you check them out over here: http://www.wp101.com/. After that, you might want to take a look at the official documentation for WordPress, at http://codex.wordpress.org/.

Once you are comfortable enough with using the basics of WordPress, you can buy the theme, and set it up just like you see in the demo (there is a section in the theme’s documentation that guides you through this). Everything should be easy, but you do need to get acquainted with WP first.

hello, i have couple of questions: 1.is there a way to control the order of the categories in the left pane under work? 2.is there a way to order the images in the gallery? for example i want that all my new jobs will appear first in the gallery.

Lovely theme. I’m fond of this sort of layout as I think it works the quickest for displaying an artist’s body of work.

Having said that, is there an option for paginating very large portfolios?

Hi there,

glad you like the theme. Thank you for taking an interest in it!

As far as your question goes, the pagination is unfortunately not available out of the box, so a bit of customization work would be needed to have it available in your copy of the theme.

Have fun working with Peak, if you still end up using it! :)

Hi, just some pre sales questions!

I really like this theme but there is a couple of things stopping me from buying it and I just wanted to ask you some questions!

Would you be able to help me make the the side bar (e.g logo, links to pages and filter) all able to travel with the page and stay static? I want to display most of my work through image stacks, I think the user will get fed up of viewing the work in my site knowing every time they finish viewing an long image stack they have to scroll to the top again to filter works or view another link…

When you close the browser on http://onioneyethemes.com/peak/portfolio/demo-item-3/ the landscape images seem to become hidden by the browser window and the images only change size when it hits the type, has this bug been fixed?

Can the theme display long images? for example an image with a height in-between 1250px-2000px?

Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions! :D:)

Hi there,

glad you like the theme. Thank you for taking an interest in it! :)

To answer your questions:

1) I unfortunately can not help with these kinds of custom requests, but I do have an alternative solution for you. You can install a “Scroll Back To Top” plugin, that will add a button to the theme, which your users can click anytime while scrolling the page, to go back to the top and access the menu.

2) This is actually a bug with the Firefox browser, and not with the theme. It has been well-documented on the web, and reported to Mozilla, an organization who runs the development of the Firefox browser.

You can find more info on the bug here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=975632. Basically, the browser doesn’t scale images placed in the elements, that are made to display as table cells in CSS. I am sure this will be fixed in the future versions of Firefox, but for now, I wouldn’t really be concerned about it because it doesn’t affect any significant screen resolutions. In other words, the images work perfectly on most screen sizes.

3) Yes, the theme can display images with any heights.

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it!

Is it possible to have the menu fixed and don’t scroll with the rest of the content?

Hi there,

this is certainly possible, but since it is not available out of the box, some customization work would be needed to achieve this.

Have fun working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

Hi,

One pre-sale question. Is to possible to add text to the single portfolio items? In the demo I can’t seem to find an item with some text underneath?

Looks really amazing, btw!

Hi there,

glad you find the theme amazing. Thank you for taking an interest in it!

As far as your question goes, it is certainly possible to add any amount of text anywhere within a post. Here is an example of one simple item with a video and some descriptive text beneath it: http://onioneyethemes.com/peak/portfolio/woman/

Sincerely,

OnionEye

Hi,

Sorry, just one last pre-sale question. Is there a gallery post type and also a video post type? If not, do you think it would be easy to customize?

No worries.

To answer your question, the following is a post with a standard WordPress gallery: http://onioneyethemes.com/peak/portfolio/vps-2/. And the next one is a post with multiple videos: http://onioneyethemes.com/peak/portfolio/item/.

Enjoy working with the theme, if you end up buying it! :)

ok thanx for the answer ; i’ve found ! I didn’t have any tagline in my website, and so nothing in the top frontpage. With a tagline, my two buttons are ok ;)

You are welcome. Glad you found a solution for the menu! :)

Hi is it possible to have a filtered category pre-selected on the homepage ? I want to display just the ‘news’ category on my first page. Thanx for your answer,

Regards,

Blackspirit
