I had no issue with the theme price because I think creators should be paid for their work. But many of the features presented in the UI are behind a paywall and it's very frustrating.

My unverified personal assumption is that the sales approach this company uses is to reserve features from all themes and sell them in companion products by the same developer, such as QI Add Ons. This may make it possible to say "you got what you paid for" with the theme purchase.

But between the theme/QI features behind a paywall, and the editor (Elementor) features behind a paywall, it's really irritating that you have to pay SUBSTANTIALLY more than the initial purchase price to use what's there. I usually try to evaluate this type of thing carefully because this seems to be the whole WordPress business model, but you can't really see what's included and what's an add-on until after the purchase.

We are sorry to hear this but the themes feature everything you do see on our demo website and we are not sure what you refer to since this has nothing to do with the Qi Addons that is included within the theme.

It additionally offers different widgets and there is a free and premium plugin but this has nothing to do with the theme it self as everything you do see on our Pellicula theme demo will be included once you import demo content.

for Customizability

Looks very chic and professional at first glance, but is poorly built and hardly customizable. I have already bought another theme from Edge Team before, which was okay and so I hoped for the same quality.

Unfortunately, a big disappointment.
I was expecting an easily customizable portfolio theme to flexibly add elements to portfolio pages. The exact opposite is the case. The portfolio section is absolutely unusable. You can hardly create custom pages without creating everything from scratch.

Also, importing demo content doesn't work, and you have to argue with theme support to get them to do it for you, and they claim it's because of their server settings, which wasn't the case for me.

We are sorry to hear this, however you do have an option to either use the already predefined templates that comes within our theme, and that are presented on our demo, or to build a custom layout where you can impact on the layout and build it to your needs. This is valid for all our themes.

When it comes to the demo import, please note that a bit demanding resources are needed in order to run a premium theme. Some of those parameters are important only for the demo import. Also, you could try the XML demo import, which is lighter and can be performed with less than required server resources. You'll notice these folks either blame the customer for their own lousy code and just argue everything "works correctly" when it doesn't, like they're the only developers in the world. Or they pretend they aren't a paying customer. They try really hard to remove comments they don't like. We had to have our legal team force them to deal with their issues. They are stubborn and arrogant. Look at the other comments - what are the chances they're all wrong? These guys need to stop arguing and just accept the feedback they're getting. Stay away from these folks. Buggy code, poor developers, lousy documentation and poor support. This vendor needs to be pulled from Envato for QC issues.

The template is very well-done, very well thought out. Hardly no issues and has very modern elements. The customer support is excellent. They did a very good job.

Sorry to hear this however, we do believe that our theme is well documented covering all the basic information on theme option, and we do understand that it might be confusing sometimes but you can find our themes documentation here as well as many great articles, and video tutorials that might help you on the way developing your website. Do note that the video tutorials might not be explicit for Pelicula however most of them can be applied to Pelicula theme as well.

Also, Commercial themes on Theme Forest often offer the framework of their own option, and they offer a lot of options, functionalities, and custom elements, and the learning curve can be steep sometimes, especially when you are facing some new theme for the first time.

The important part is that besides the tutorials, documentation, and articles we do have an outstanding support team that is always eager to help all our customers. At the moment we could not locate any request from your Envato username and would appreciate it if you can submit a request at our help center where you can get help for sure as our team will be able to check your settings and provide you with guidance.

Very very slow and bad support. I'll get another theme. When I decide to buy something with support I'm not really willing to wait a couple of days to get ONE answer. Another day for the question if i can provide admin rights, ANOTHER day to respond on the first question suggesting that I should provide screenshots (that I already provided anyways). That loss of time is not worth it. My suggestion for you guys: Get proper staff in your Support Team.

for Flexibility

This theme, on the surface, looks great aesthetically. Getting behind the scenes, several of the main features are glitchy and don't operate as smoothly as other themes. Very little help from support, outside of directing me to solutions that aren't what I asked for. Overall ok with the theme but not enjoying the lack of solutions from support.

Is a great theme, works as it says it would work. There are a lot of options to customize, and the design is really cool.
