Hello I recently purchased your theme and so far i’m loving how it looks. I am just wondering if I made a new sections part called certifications and I added your code from the instructions to format it correctly, how can I add a tab to the top of the screen in the navigation section? I would like it to work how the premade sections navigation tabs work. Thanks a lot!!

Figured it out! Thanks again for the great theme!

Thanks for purchasing and glad you found the solution. :)

I really like this theme, but I’m stuck on the blog functionality. You’ve called it a fully functional blog, but there’s no sidebar or widgets, so I can’t have people sort by category or view an archive or anything. I added my own sidebar to functions.php, but getting it to display properly is a bear, and I wish you would consider REALLY making this fully functional in the next version. I have 4+ years of blog posts I’ve just added, and there’s no way to sort them. Right now, there’s just a single blog page that displays the entire content of every single post. The container background runs out. I could fix this myself, but it would take a while. Right now I’m shopping around for another theme, because I didn’t realize this one doesn’t have the standard sidebar/widgets that even basic WP comes with. Thanks – the rest looks good & the customizer is very easy to use! If I’ve missed something, please let me know.

Oh, only quick fix that you can do yourself is just change the_content to the_excerpt in the index.php file.

Thanks. I was adding the_excerpt to single.php and page.php or wherever I could find it, but I didn’t think it would be in index. I added that as well as: Read More

That will do for now. I’ll get around to fixing the other stuff on my own if I don’t end up changing the theme. I like the simplicity of the rest of your theme…just needed the blog to have more features. Other CV themes do have these features, but their themes are more complex than I need for this project. Thx. I do appreciate your offer to help, but for the security of my clients, I can’t provide logins.

No problems, if you happen to have any other questions or run into any issues while doing the changes – we’re available.

2 questions / issues: 1) How do I configure the contact form? Can’t seem to find any settings for any kind of mailto: / contact form plugin, etc… 2) I’m using custom google fonts on the page, however in the education and experience sections, the title font is using the theme default font, not the custom one I specified. Thanks for your help!

Here’s the error: “message NOT sent”. I have not configured any kind of Pop3 / SMTP access within the wordpress install if that helps

Hi, you need to have the PHPMail function enabled by your host. We also replied to your email, so please continue communicating there. For the second issue you’re having we need your website URL, so please send it.

Thanks for the theme!

Small issue with the child theme: because the parent uses get_template_directory_uri() to enqueue style.css, the child theme’s style.css is never loaded when it’s chosen as the active theme. This means you can’t put CSS in the child’s style.css to override the parent.

I fixed it locally by using get_stylesheet_directory_uri() in place of PDS_TEMPLATE_URI in the wp_enqueue_style call for style.css in the parent’s functions.php.

Hi Matt, thanks for purchasing and reporting this. We’ll fix this with the next theme versions that’s coming up tomorrow.

Downloaded this template and installed it. It’s great! Quick question: What do I need to update in order to insert a copyright line?

Thanks! Brian

Thanks for purchasing.

If you’re talking about insert it at the bottom, you just need to open the footer.php file and put it there. Let us know if you need anything else.

First off, great theme. I was wondering, however, if it was possible to reduce the space between the ‘period’ dates and the text. I would like to have only an end date for the education section, but when there is only one date listed the space between the date and text is huge. How would I change that space?

Hi, thanks for purchasing!

There’s a class called ‘bigspacing’ in the css file, just reduce the padding-left property and that should do it. :)

Perfect, thank you!

I recently bought the template, great work, thanks.

Is there a way to make it bilingual? I have clients in two languages.

Hi, thanks for purchasing!

Yes, the theme has Localization Support (.pot/.po/.mo files are included). Not sure if you’re familiar with translating themes but there’s a lot of different guides for this, it’s standardized.

Let us know if you need anything else.

Hi, In this theme have you added register new users and add their CV themselves?

I am planning to make a free website where candidates can make their online CV by registering from website.

Awaiting your reply.

No, sorry, the theme doesn’t have that functionality.

Great theme, thank you!

The theme being WPML compatible is one of the main reason why i purchased it.

Unfortunately i can translate only part of it. When editing fields on the customizer, I haven’t find a way to translate the “Title”, “Description”, “Main Content”, “Profession” and “Additional Description” fields.

Any idea?

Thank you in advance for your help.

email sent!

Replied! :)

Great, the file you sent me fixed the issue, great job.

Starting to set up this theme for a CV site I encountered two design problems. First is that the line in the header cuts through the text (the name space). The second problem is the space for my address (street, street no, zip code, city), which takes up two lines. After the word wrap the rest of the text goes under the icon and doesn’t line up with the rest of the text, which looks weird. How can I fix those two problems?

Here is the current version rendered in Chrome: http://i.imgur.com/UKUGdCi.png

Just an update… we’re adding a functionality to make the contact info column on the right wider and another option to make the address font size smaller (like the email at the moment). That’s the only way we found to solve this.

Hey, we submitted a new version to ThemeForest, it should be approved in the next 24h. This new version allows you to make the contact info area on the right wider: http://i.imgur.com/rapzXT3.png. Also to stop the text wrapping in the period boxes you just need to click one checkbox now: http://i.imgur.com/Wg2swib.png

Thank you, I’ll have a try.

Another small problem – I have an Education category with 13 items, 2 of them are delimiters. The theme seems to only show up to 10 items. Is there a way around this?

Go to Settings -> Reading and increase the number next to Maximum number of posts to show on a page. That should do the trick.

The code to fix the icon is coming up tomorrow, need to find the best way to do it.

I’ve installed and updated the perfect cv wordpress template and I’ve changed some colors and size fonts to the child version of the same template.

The problem is that the changes were not reflected into the responsive version.

The site is http://cami.scripts.mit.edu/cami/

and the code is the following:

/* Theme Name: PerfectCV Theme URI: http://pixeldizajn.com/perfectcvwp Author: PixelDizajn Author URI: http://pixeldizajn.com/ Description: PerfectCV is a CV/Portfolio/Blog theme for Wordpress License: License URI: Template: perfectcv Version: 1.3.3 Tags: gray, white /

@import url(”../perfectcv/style.css”);

/ =Theme customization starts here -----------—- */

.site_header h1 { color:#464646; display:inline-block; font-family:Arvo, serif; font-size:4em; font-style:normal; font-variant:normal; font-weight:bold; line-height:0.66666666em; padding-left:5px; padding-right:5px; z-index:2; }

Thank you.

Hey, thanks for the purchasing.

We’re looking into this…

Hey, sorry about a bit late reply.

What you need to do is copy the media queries from the css/styles.css file (from the line 1038 to the end) and paste them into your css file (at the end).

Let us know if that helps you.

Hm, I also have problem getting the contact form to run, getting the “Message NOT sent” error.

I added the following to the PHP.INI, but it didn’t do the trick.

[mail function]

sendmail_from = mailer@XXX
sendmail_path = /usr/sbin/sendmail

I also asked the question in the support forum of my hoster, maybe they have an idea.

I’m not sure how many people have no problem with the default mail config,, but I find it a little strange that the theme is so easy to configurate on the one hand but you need to hand-configure a server INI file on the other hand to get it to run. Maybe there is a way to get the mail config inside the Wordpress / theme config?

Solved the problem – a config error on my part, not it says “sent”. Let’s hope they arrive. :D

Hey, good to hear. PHPMail should be installed by default on most servers, some disable it, probably your case too. You don’t have to setup anything most of the times.

I purchased and installed the theme. Started with some customizations. I emailed you regarding some customization problems and I have another problem.

I started the customizations on the parent theme. Then realized I want to tweak the style sheet. Installed the child theme. Activated it and all of my custom entries are gone. It reverted back to the install dummy data. Why?

In other themes I’ve purchased when I install and activate the child theme all of my formatting and data is in place.

I’m using the latest version of both your theme & WP

Hi, we got your messages. Thanks for purchasing btw.

The child theme issue you’re having is standard WordPress functionality, not a theme issue. Menus, Widgets and Options stay with the main theme and don’t get transferred to the child theme.

There’s quite an easy way to transfer them:

Install “SQL Executioner” plugin, go to Tools > SQL Executioner and execute the following SQL code:

UPDATE wp_options SET option_value=(SELECT * FROM (SELECT option_value FROM wp_options WHERE option_name=’theme_mods_perfectcv’) x) WHERE option_name=’theme_mods_perfectcv-child/perfectcv-child’

As for your email, please allow us up to 24h to reply as we need to test some things to replicate your issues.

How/where do I configure the contact form ? For now, when I send a message it says “Not connect. Verify Network.”

Hi, thanks for purchasing.

Did you follow the documentation to set it up? If yes, and if you’re still having issue, please post here or email us your website URL and your web host provider.

I recently purchased your theme and it’s great.

I have set the font on the “Appearance > customize > fonts > which font do you want to use ” tab, and it worked for:

- All the titles on the left side bar - The content in the “about me” section

It didn’t work for:

- The experience content (ride side of the bar) – company name and content - The education content (right side of the bar) – school name and content

Also can we change the font size of the above section so it can match the “about me” section?

I’m not a developer so please let me know.

Thank you.

In the next few hours it should be approved. To make sure it is, the version will say “Version: 1.3.5”. But if you want, I can tell you here when it was approved for sure.

So, you just need to update the theme, and most of the issue your having, if not all, should be fixed. If something still happens to not work, just let us know and we’ll assist you further.

How do I update the theme when I download it? I don’t know how to do that. Do I have to upload the theme one more time in the wordpress theme sections and basically replace the old version by uploading the new version?

Thank you.

This is a very handy plugin that you can install and then upgrade the theme via it: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/

The theme has now been approved by the way.

hi, i was wondering if i would be able to combine this theme onto a separate website but have it only on one page. im currently running my main page on the vantage theme and id like to add this style but on a separate page on that theme. is that possible?

While we can’t offer you support for that or any instructions, that should be possible with a plugin, but certainly not easy.

Hi, I install it and start working but I do not have experience section. Can you help I lost an hour on it. :(

Replied via FaceBook. Instructions are in: http://pixeldizajn.com/documentation/

Relevant areas are Section display options in the Theme Customizer, and Experience -> Add new to insert posts into the Experience section.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello, I have a problem. 3 funkctions didn’t work. This picture describes my problem: http://i.imgur.com/l444ckH.jpg

How can I fix that?

I sent you an E-Mail last week!

It’s been replied to you last week (Nov 3 2:57PM). Check your email (spam folder too).

Actually here’s the reply that we sent: Hi,

Most probably the issue is the file permissions… the Customizer changes are saved inside the css/custom-styles.css file, and your server isn’t allowing that to be done.

Please change the permissions to 755 to test. If you don’t know how to do that or if it doesn’t fix the issue, it would be the best if you could create a temporary admin account on your WP installation so we can diagnose the issue.

Just purchased, downloaded, and tried installing this via the Wordpress uploader—and I have an error:

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Suggestions how to resolve this?

Hi, thanks for purchasing.

You’re trying to install the whole downloaded package, not just the Wordpress Theme.
