Beautiful theme! Is it multisite ready?

Thanks! And yes

From a comments above I have read there is no PSD file for this theme. I would consider creating one because without it freelancers cannot create a design of a website for their clients easily and you are loosing sales. Just lost mine :(

Hi I am experiencing issues ever since I downloaded the latest wordpress update. Whenever I edit the page via the Visual Composer, the page jumps to the very bottom of the post.

Hi there

Sounds like you need to update Visual Composer – to do this, disable and delete your current version, then head to Appearance > Install Plugins to have the theme grab the latest version for you :)

Once done, clear you caches and your all set

Thanks, Danny (TommusRhodus Support)

Hello,

I currently use the theme with WordPress 4.6.9 If I update to the latest WP version everything should be fine?

Hi there

Yes the theme works great with the latest version of WP :)

Thanks, Danny (TommusRhodus Support)

Import isn’t importing any of the homepages. I’ve tried the Customizer as well as the demo file.

Hey there,

This likely means that your sever operational memory is low, we have a demo import workflow for that that involves importing attachments separately:

Hey man, just renewed support for my purchase code cause this theme rocks and your support is amazing. The support forum still claims my purchase code expired even though I just renewed it. Sent you an email!

UPDATE: Support site accepted the purchase code, guess it took awhile for Envato API to recognize the renewal!

Hi, Is there a known issue with WooCommerce product thumbnails not being clickable in IE 11?

I’ve done a bit of testing .. I have two websites using Pillar one with the old version and one with the new. It’s the new version that has now got WooCommerce product listings with no clickable product titles or thumbnails.

Is this a known issue?

Sorry .. thought I found solution .. but not working now .. still a bit puzzled!

Hi there

Do you have URL where I can see this? Im not quite sure what you mean by “cno lickable product titles or thumbnails” currently so this would help

Thanks, Danny (TommusRhodus Support)

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your message. For some reason it’s working this morning. Might have been the WooCommerce update or 2nd theme update that fixed it and I was seeing an old cached version of the site (using WPEngine). So all seems to be ok now. Sorry for false alarm.

THanks

Hi, how can i put a colored button in my header, like this http://pillar.tommusdemos.wpengine.com/elements/buttons with a customized url?

Hi there

This would not be possible without customization (as you can see in the demo the theme doesnt offer buttons in the header by default), however you could create a menu item/link and use custom CSS to create something similar

#menu-item-ID-here a {
    background: #425cbb;
    border-color: #425cbb;
    font-family: Montserrat, 'Helvetica', 'Arial', sans-serif;
    transition: 0.1s linear;
    -webkit-transition: 0.1s linear;
    -moz-transition: 0.1s linear;
    border-radius: 100px;
    padding-top: 0.54166667em;
    padding-bottom: 0.65em;
    padding-right: 3.25em;
    padding-left: 3.25em;
    border: 1px solid #232323;
    border-width: 2px;
    font-size: inherit;
    line-height: 1.625em;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    color: white;
}

I purchased renewed support but I am still not able to add a ticket on the ticksy site.

I am having trouble sizing my background image. As you can see on the page I listed (in the “Download the 2018 Video Production Success Kit for Marketing Managers!” row) the background image is really zoomed in. The dimensions on the image are 2000 x 571 so I don’t understand why it is so zoomed in. I have tried various row stretch options but nothing seems to work. What dimensions do i need to make the image to get it to behave correctly?

-Kyle

Hey there,

571px is not a particularly tall height, so the theme is increasing the height to fill the area, which means the width also has to increase otherwise the image would distort.

Use a more standard monitor size for your image instead, 1920×1080

Hi there, I’m using Pillar with the slide in header, please let me know how I can change the colour of the menu icon and ‘MENU’ in the header bar as they are white they become invisible. Many thanks

Hi there

Head to https://tommusrhodus.ticksy.com/ and create a ticket (leaving a URL) and ill be happy to take a look

Thanks, Danny (TommusRhodus Support)

Very happy with the support for this theme. They came back within 15 hours and completely fixed the problem for me (which had to do with my web-host not allowing enough memory for the pages to display properly). One note of warning. When you download the zipfile, be sure to unzip the zip file and only upload the zipfile with the Pillar theme to your Wordpress site. The “Getting started” video on YouTube is a little confusing with regard to this.

Thanks for the feedback – just to add, iv updated the online documentation to avoid any future confusion for any other users out there who experience such an issue getting started https://tommusrhodus.ticksy.com/article/8113/

I’ve not previously used a theme with a builder, but i understand some themes like divi leave a lot of shortcodes which need to be manually stripped out if you later change the theme. Is this also the case for Pillar? I am not too worried about the home page, about page etc because if we redesign the site they’ll be re-done, but I am more concerned about shortcodes inside blog posts etc (we have a large number of blog posts). Thanks for your time :)

Hey there,

Shortcodes would only be left where you had been using the builder, so in blog posts, you likely won’t be using the builder, so those posts will transport nicely, same with portfolio posts, team posts etc.

Fancy pages are really the only thing that would be lost on theme change, but then, when changing themes, you’d probably be rebuilding those anyway (homepage etc.)

Hope that helps!

is there a way to reduce the scrolling acceleration? I’d like to keep the parallax effect but the scroll is too fast.

Thanks

Hi there

No I’m afraid not – the parallax JS is custom from the original designers (MediumRare) and I’m afraid it doesn’t include such an option.

Ill be happy to feed this back to them however, in case there is a possibility it add an option to this in future

Thanks for that

Think you could help me on why the button on the subscribe form in footer isn’t styled the same as in demo? http://f6b.502.mwp.accessdomain.com/

Hi there

Do you mean like this form from the demo footer?

If so, its the demo form “Basic Email Signup Vertical]” you need :)

Cheers, Danny (TommusRhodus Support)

Thanks for your reply—actually I want the form field I have for newsletter, however something seems off with the styling. The “Go” button is a circle instead of fitting next to the form field with a straight right edge. I posted a link to my staging site that has the styling issue in the footer.

Thanks for clarifying – pop this into your custom css area in the theme options (Appearance > Customize) and your all set

footer .widget .wpcf7 .col-sm-7 input {
    width: calc(100% + 80px);
}
