Hello, I was wondering a few things:

1. Is there a way to limit the number of posts visible on the homepage? I’m using it as my blog, not a static page.

2. What’s the easiest way to make the main column a bit wider, without losing the integrity of the responsiveness?

Thank you!

1.) Settings > Reading – This page will control this setting.

2.) I can’t really get into free custom work, but you’re welcome to modify the underlying CSS as needed for your specific project

Please create a Retina update.

Hey Cudazi,

My featured image doesn’t link to the post. It links to the media file.

Am I missing a setting?

So I found this in your FAQ’s

$ft_image_atts = array( ‘fallback_to_first_attached’ => true, ‘thumbnail_size’ => ‘twelve’, ‘full_size’ => ‘full’, ‘linkto’ => ‘file’, ‘hide_on_single’ => false ); echo cudazi_featured_image( $ft_image_atts );

still a little lost I put the copy into the content.php in a child theme and used the link =>

not sure what I put in place of ‘file’

I have tried a couple of things to link the feature image to the blog post, but still have come up with nothing.

Any help out there would be appreciated :)

ok, finally figures this out – linkto post – had to get the script from content-gallery.php

Sorry for my delay Danny, glad you were able to make your modifications.

Also, does WP Retina 2x work for anybody on this theme? I’ve tried this too and haven’t got it to work.

Hi, where do I find shortcode details? For inserting videos etc.

You can use the WordPress insert media area or the [embed]your video url[/embed] if you wish.

Will the theme support hi-res displays in the future ? :) It’s a bit blurry on ipad and mac.

Hi there, pre-sales questions :)

1. Is this a fast loading website? (my internet is quite slow so it’s hard to tell)

2. Can you change the portfolio page, shown in the demo, so that the thumbnails open a YouTube video instead of an image when clicked?

Kind regards, Ben

For #1, it just depends on how many posts you want to show in the Settings > Reading area and whether it’s text vs images/videos. I’d install a caching plugin or enabling something like CloudFlare if your host supports to max out WordPress. :)

For #2, the archive-portfolio.php file could be modified to feed from a custom field or custom box for a new URL (instead of the full post) but it’s not built in.

(Sorry for the delay!)

Hi. I wanted to break a single post into multiple pages. I entered the <! -nextpage - > tag on the page. Here is the page link: . Nothing happened. I searched on internet and wordpress support forum and read somewhere that I need to insert ?php wp_link_pages(); ? on the index.php. So I did that. Here is what index.php now looks like -

<?php if ( have_posts() ) while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?> <?php get_template_part( ‘content’, get_post_format() ); ?> <?php get_template_part( ‘nav’, ‘post-single’ ); ?> <?php wp_link_pages(); ?> <?php comments_template( ’’, true ); ?> <?php endwhile; // end of the loop. ?>

But still nothing happened.

Can you help?

Note: I am a novice when it comes to even the basic level of coding.

Hello! I tested the nextpage feature again and it worked on a post without any modifications, I used this content in HTML mode:

Solved! Sorry. My mistake. Was putting the tag wrong. Its working fine now. Thanks for the prompt reply anyway. Really appreciate it. Regards.

I started to configure this theme, and I have the following problem: on portfolio, when I click on image, it goes to that page instead of opening in lightbox.

Hello, are you sure you’re using the Portfolio custom menu in the admin to create items and then the Portfolio page template to have them displayed as required? Thanks!

I think Pixel Power is required to receive an update in order to support retina displays, supporting new features in wordpress such as displaying posts for a certain post type and also supporting JetPack features such as infinite scroll. It’s long while that no updates are provided and lots of peoples would be more happy with the theme with updates…

I fully support the post just above. Love the theme, using it for months (years?) now on my blog. But it deserve an update. :/ Don’t buy it as it is now, you’ll be disappointed.

Thank you for your opinion. The item is fully functional with the latest version of WordPress and has a very large, happy customer base. I will look into retina.

I’m one of them, I know :) It’s just that we do need an update with all the new devices out there with UHD as screens. ;) Design wise, this theme is still the best for me.

I forgot to tell that I would LOVE to be able to activate the Markdown Support in JetPack. Not working at all for now. :x

Has some security issue I guess. My wordpress blog was compromised today and it started showing some spam link saying “Cialis brand name” linking to some spam site when clicked on it.

I created a blog post today and shared it on many networks I know and within few minutes this happened. I didn’t realise until a friend spotted the issue and alerted me.

I later searched online and solutions claimed either an issue with older Wordpress installs or with the theme. I changed the theme and the issue was resolved immediately so I concluded that the theme has some security issue that enabled the spam link to be pushed into my wordpress site for all the blog posts.

I had to delete the entire theme, reinstall it and re-customise every thing later.

Please be sure to follow the best practices outlined in this article:

Update for Wordpress 4.0 ?

The demo site has just been updated to 4.0 without issue.

Any chance for an update to WP 4.0 and support of the new features? :/ (tweets links, etc.)

The demo has just been updated to 4.0, I will look into all the new features available.

Nope, tweets oEmbed don’t work :/

Hey, i’m using 4.0 and i got a problem with my front page. it seems like the text is getting out from the template.

Please check my site here:

I don’t know how to describe it.

Thank You

It looks like it’s due to your preformatted (pre) tag usage, but it doesn’t seem to be happening on the default demo with my test.

Either way, you can add this to the style.css or a child theme to force this to wrap:

pre { word-wrap: break-word; }

Is there any way to show on the front page excerpts with an image? I have an old theme with 500 post and i dont want to edit each post with read more tag after change the theme on pixel power.

Hello! If you don’t want to use (or add) the read more or post excerpts to posts, you could try a plugin such as:

I try to include the following youtube video in a post: with [embed] . Unfortunately the video does not show, only the youtube link with the two minus changed into one long minus (–) which results in an incorrect link. Is there any way to include this video?

Can you give the full YouTube URL a try, it’s working on my demo. Thanks!

Hey Trish, I’m away at the moment, but most caching plugins will drastically speed up most WordPress themes/installs. The WordPress plugin repo has a few in the most downloaded section that people seem to love.

I do use a caching plugin cudazi,

I was very shocked to see all these issues with such an awesome theme, and thought you’d want to know of them.

My website sits at 80% optimized until I address these issues. At this point in time, I’d have to change out the theme, but I don’t want to do that unless these issues will not be being addressed.

Thank you for understand, Trish

The demo will be back up shortly, sorry for the trouble!

Demo (and URL) have been updated!
