GP, I already bough this. I notice there is no custom Sign-in page, it goes to the default wordpress sign in. Anyway to address this?
If you haven’t done so already please submit your support questions at http://ghostpool.ticksy.com where I will answer them shortly.
Sorry for the inconvenience but we do point this out in the help file, item page and your theme options page.
Great thanks. Not really a support but an inquiry, is there a way to put social login on the login/register pop-up? Tries using the plugin social login but it does not show up.
I’m sure there is a way to integrate social login into the login pop-up window. How you do that all depends on the plugin you’re using. You may need to hire a developer to do this if it’s a complicated job. Either way, as I say please create a support ticket and I’ll look into this for you.
I am stuck in one of my office work here…!!
I have to create a portal where anyone can register and publish a post, comment n all, have a separate page for itself, like an author page, sent messages to any of the member. Any body can see the likes/dislikes to each post, view authors page, customize the looks of their own page(if possible). Social sharing, comments etc…
Do I need a multisite for this, buddypress or its possible by simple wordpress installation, changes in settings as Authors and using a theme like yours.
PLZ HELP me out.. looking for a such a stuff, for a long time.
You will need a combination of things to achieve what you want.
You’ll need a plugin to add likes/dislikes to each post.
To send messages to each user and have author profile pages you can just use BuddyPress.
In order for each user to customize their author page they will need backend access which can be done using the Capability Manager plugin but it may require some additional work – so here’s where the Plexus theme and multisite may be useful for you.
However if the only reason you use multisite is so a user can customize their own page you might want to look into a custom solution as multisite can use a lot of server resources if you have a lot of users.
What if I use only wordpress, change the settings to every member registered as Author and use a theme like plexus, which can help me in messaging n all..as it has buddypress..
I hope it also provide author page separately.. Will my task would be done..??
Thanks for ur reply, it was great help…
As I said this will not allow every author to customize the appearance of the author profile page. You will need to look into another way of doing this if you want to avoid using multisite.
I found ur author page quite attractive.. I could add up this feature later on, if insisted much.. Till then Ur theme n settings changes are enough for the project, right?
If yes, then gonna but ur theme sooner, this week.
Yes the theme settings should be enough for what you want.
Thanks u.. finally found something on earth..
gonna buy it soon
I would like to purchase the theme but before i’ve got a few questions. Is that possible to use it without BuddyPress ? For a classique website ?
Can we choose the size of the slider ?
Yes the theme will work just fine without BuddyPress.
Yes you can customize the slider completely, including its size.

Thinking about purchasing this theme. Will this theme work for non multi-site worpress/buddypress sites?
I’ve purchased another theme here at themeforest from a different dev. There was a lot of custom CSS that had to be done to set the color scheme for the site. What is the process for this theme to set the colors?
Lastly, how much control will I have over where widgets will display? I’d like to have at least homepage/public-not-logged-in widget areas and also buddypress/pages-logged-in areas. Is that possible with your theme.
I’ll purchase as soon as these are answered. Thank you!
Yes the theme works just fine without a multi-site set up.
The theme comes with a ton of options to change the colour of each element in the theme.
You can display widgets in the sidebar, footer and within the main content column on pages using the Homepage template. You can also display any widgets within any page that can display content using the Visual Composer widget elements that come with the theme.
I don’t have a multi site setup… that’s what I’m asking… does it work if you DONT have a multi site setup. Thanks!
Yes it works WITHOUT multisite installed. I did amend my reply almost immediately when I realised I had put “with” instead of “without” but I guess you had already read my response.
that’s ok! Thanks, I’ll grab it up.
I just purchased this theme… Let me tell you that THIS IS WHAT A THEME SHOULD WORK LIKE! Sorry to shout, but I have gone through 3 themes for my buddypress site so far and spent countless hours tweaking hacked up css files and within 5 minutes of installing this theme I can see that this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It gives you the control you require without having to dig around in css files for hours trying to get the look you want. AND, it looks amazing on an iPhone!
If you are wondering which is the best theme for you… look no further! Awesome job!!!
Thanks for such an awesome comment flexclique.
Thanks, I do need a bit of help on something and I put in a ticket… Can I get you to check that ticket again as I’ve added a screenshot?
Whenever you reply to your ticket I will notified. I’ll look it as soon as possible.
Will be nice if you make a video tutorial how to install this theme. Thanks
Have you read the help file as it tells you how to install and setup the theme step-by-step. If you run into any problems please post your questions on the support site at http://ghostpool.ticksy.com
The themes works as promised. After I adjusted the memory settings in my ‘wp-config.php’ file – no more errors. I added the following line -> define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘64M’);
Later, I bumped it to 128M – now all is well in my world. I’m a happy customer.
Thanks for letting me know. WordPress Multisite can use a lot of memory sometimes – not a theme issue, just a result of having multiple blogs on a single database.
Please, I need to know two things specifically:
- Is it possible to allow a user to make him/her posts either visible to everybody, or him/her alone?
- Is it possible to so configure the site, that it has the same categories for everyone, without letting post outside those categories?
1) Anyone who can post can make their posts private or password protected so they can only be seen by other admins or people with the password.
2) You cannot restrict the categories, but if users from different blogs use the same category names they will be recognised as the same categories. This means you can display posts from different blogs under the same categories on the homepage.
Hello, thanks, I have purchased and downloaded the theme. But after uploading it to wordpress I got the message:
“unable to intall the archiev, missing the table of styles style.css“
what do I do about it?
Sorry, I was trying to upload a wrong file
Is there a Directory plugin that works with this theme?
I’ve not tested any directory plugins with this theme, but if you let me know a specific plugin you’re referring to I can at least suggest to you whether it will work or not.
I’m looking to buy this Theme but I have one important question first:
- Are bloggers able to customize their own designs? Can each blog have their own slider/header and possibly also change colors and design elements?
When I look through your example blogs, all blogs are using exactly the same design, except “Suzanne’s Blog” (http://demoblog9.plexus.wpengine.com/).
With WordPress multisite installed any blog admin will be able to use any theme you allow them to. All the others sites are using the Plexus theme, but any of them could have used the same theme as seen on “Suzanne’s Blog”. Each blog admin can also change the styling of the Plexus theme on their site rather than using another theme.
I like your theme! I’m currently using buddy press links and rtmedia for wordpress, budypress, and bbpress plug-ins. I’ve had experience where I bought some themes and the plug-in no longer works properly so I want to make sure those two plug-ins work with your theme. Please let me know. Thank you!
The rtMedia plugin should work with the theme.
I’ve no experience with the BuddyPress Links plugin but if it works with the latest version of BP then it will probably work with the theme.
Hi, if I don’t want the big feature image in the homepage, is it easy enough to get rid of the image placeholder? Is it a set template that I have to follow? Thank you.
If you’re referring to the slider at the top of the page, it’s just a simple option to enable/disable it.
I’m torn between Plexus and another themeforest design (Steam). How will Plexus perform with adding maps (for the purpose of tracking routes) and rating content, items, etc? And is there any recommended commerce plugin (For the purpose of light sales and classifieds?)
I greatly appreciate your time and input, I’m a beginner and I imagine these are pretty elementary questions. And for the record, your themes are fantastic.
1) The theme comes with the Visual Composer which allows you add Google maps into any page with ease. You can also add your own maps though.
2) As for rating content, it depends on the plugin/script you want to use – I’d need more information.
3) The theme works with WooCommerce, so this is definitely recommended.
I really like the layout of the Buddy front page, however I would like to use Visual Composer and Layerslider. My question: Is it possible to make Plexus look like the front page of Buddy with the three columns, and the areas with buttons representing each of the BuddyPress functions?
Plexus does not come with a 3 column layout like Buddy, however you can add 3 columns to a page using the Visual Composer to achieve something similar.
Again it’s possible to make each section look like Buddy but you will need to adjust the CSS to do this.
I’ve encountered a problem with the sidebars.
When I try and assign a sidebar on a page via the setting panel it is not displaying on the website. It seems to be stuck on the standard sidebar for all pages.
I have followed the instructions under 3.3 Sidebars and no luck.
checked out your theme.. u didnt styled the forums :/
I’m not sure what you mean. The forums are styled with the same colours and style of the theme. If you mean I didn’t create a custom forum layout to meet your specific needs that you’re correct.
Before to purchase I have a question : what is the font you used for the logo ?
The font used is called Pacifico.
Does this template Facebook Connect?
The theme has not been tested with this plugin. If you can give me a link to the plugin I’ll be able to give you a better answer though.
The plugin should work with the theme, but the Facebook login will not work with the popup login box that the Plexus theme uses unless you modify it yourself.
