How do I get my logo to keep its transparent background?

I’ve added a logo using the theme options. The image has a transparent background in the PSD file. I have converted it to PNG . I have called ended the file name with -trans.png as suggested.

But the logo shows up with a white background instead of transparent.

How do i fix it?

Thanks, Kevin

Are you sure your PNG is transparent before you upload it to the server? Try taking a look at the PNG settings when you’re saving to be sure transparency is working, then, just replace my own logo on the site. Thanks!

Is it possible to implement an image slider like this one:

Hey Stefan,

A slider like that is not included by default but you can edit the theme until your heart is content – there are many awesome jquery sliders and slider plugins, you may want to try CodeCanyon to see if there’s something you would like to add.

Hello – I bought your theme, but when I tried to install it, in WordPress, I get the following errors. The theme is then listed as “Broken”, and I can’t seem to delete it. I am using WordPress 3.03.

Warning: fopen(/home2/stevento/public_html/wp-content/themes

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home2/stevento/public_html/wp-

Could you point me in the right direction to fix this?

Thank you!

Please double check you’ve uploaded it properly by just uploading the theme folder (keep the name as-is or short/sweet) and not uploading the entire download from ThemeForest.

hey cudazi great theme, really but there’s one slight problem: in the menu (header section) you offer the choices of changing:

Main Menu – Text Color Main Menu – Text Color on Hover Main Menu – Background Color on Hover

I want the following colors BROWN : Main Menu – Text Color WHITE : Main Menu – Text Color on Hover BROWN : Main Menu – Background Color on Hover

when I change this and click one page item, e.g. about, I end up with the text color and background color BOTH being BROWN . Therefore you can’t really know, as a user, what page you are currently on, unless you put you mouse over the link (then the color changes to WHITE – text color on hover). I tried adding css in the menu and played with the following options:

menu ul li a:hover, #menu ul li.current_page_item, {

background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #42210B; color: #FFFFFF;}

menu ul li a:active {

background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #42210B; color: #FFFFFF;}

But whatever I do, I always end up with BROWN background (#42210B) and brown link : #menu ul li a { color: #42210B;} Please tell me how to fix this. Thanks

Hey there,

I highly recommend downloading and looking up a couple tuts on Firebug ( ) it will let you pinpoint exactly what style you’re looking for and even let you play with the style realtime without harming your site before adding / adjusting any css.

Thanks for replying Cudazi.

I use firebug a lot, and I have been trying to fix this issue for several days. Nothing works. And I am sorry for the previous post, apparently after submitting the message, some elements of HTML /CSS got stripped (forgot to use code tags).

I do realise that you’re not a teacher and you can’t address every question about how to use CSS . Also a professional coder could probably deal with this issue by quickly rewriting the CSS files. The problem is that a) I am not a professional coder and can’t really afford one at the moment, b) I have studied CSS for some time now and roughly know the basics. I easily managed to alter other themes available on Themeforest, but I am having trouble with one tiny aspect of your seemingly superb theme – ProBlog.

THE QUESTION . Please tell me why this doesn’t work:

#menu UL LI A:active {
background: #42210B;
According to what I know about CSS it should fix the problem but it simply doesn’t work – the text new text color #ffffff cannot override the default settings for
#menu ul li a
The following doesn’t fix this problem either:
#menu ul li.current_page_item {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #42210B;
    color: #FFFFFF;

What happens is this: When I select a page (e.g. About) the background and text-color are the same so there is NO TEXT in the selected link. (you can see this by looking at the website

THE SOLUTION would be the following: In the Theme Settings menu all you need to do is add one more option (the fourth one below):

Main Menu - Text Color
Main Menu - Text Color on Hover
Main Menu - Background Color on Hover
Main Menu - Text Color on Active Page

I hope this is clear. Please help me by answering THE QUESTION .

Let’s continue this via email, I don’t want to lose track of this comment, just shoot me a message via my profile page here on Themeforest with a reminder and I’ll flag it. I’m in the middle of a large project that’s eating up my time but we’ll get this squared away. Thanks

Hi, This Item didnt work for me!

This is what it says:

Broken Themes

How is this supposed to work?? I thought it would work after install??

Please help, thanks!!

Thank you Thank you!!! I have it installed and working on some things. I am a newbie so I dont really understand all this code.

I did have a question! In your live demo, the posts are collapsable or have the “continue reading” so the posts dont look huge. How do I enable that? I read through the instructions and cant figure it out.

Also, On my main “home” page, I have a sidebar, but on the pages, there is no sidebar. how do I fix that?

I really appreciate you being patient! here is my blog right now…

You’ll need to use the standard more tag in your text, ex:

Your intro text text text text text text text.

The text continues here...

As for the pages, I will need to double check but I believe in the help file it will go over the different page templates available when adding/editing pages.

Please note
The live demo site is now running WordPress 3.1

I’m struggling with getting the little bio blurb at the bottom of posts to display the nickname or first name of my user ID. It’s showing admin even though I updated those fields to say Jeff. You can see an example at the bottom of:

I also checked the hide bio option to hide it until I can get this sorted out, but it’s still showing.

Any tips?

Hey Jeff,

In single.php line 39 after “Find all posts by” replace the get_author_meta(... piece with get_the_author();

any plan on supporting custom menus

I haven’t had much interest in the custom menus on this one but I will add it to my list, thanks!

Never mind. RTFM saves the day.

Is there any way to add a link to the navigation menu? A link to a sub-domain for instance?

You could give a plugin like this a shot –

Hi, i am interested in you Blog but i have one quiestion.

I need to approve de Comments that people makes. Because it is a blog for a school and children can me very harmful. Can i do that?

That when they comment, it won´t be posted until i approved it?

Hey Hernan,

Yes, that is possible – I often do that as well to avoid spam but in your case it would be good to moderate as well. Check the Settings > Discussion after you’re up and running.

glm Purchased

Hi, I bought today “problog” but I have a problem: when I insert a gallery in a post using Easyfancybox does not work. how can I fix it? thanks

Replied to your email

Hi, i would like to ask, whether the template iPhone/iPad or other smartphone compatible? Thanks a lot. Lena

It will work on mobile devices but not “switch” to a different styled mobile site by default, there are many free plugins on that can tackle that if need be – thanks!

Update: The demo site is now running on WordPress 3.4+

I’m thinking about buying this template, but first I wanted to know if it was possible to add a Twitter widget to the tight-hand column.

Yes, the items in the right column are widgets. You may need to do some custom styling to get a custom tweets widget to fit the look but it should otherwise be ok.

I just purchased Problog. I visited a website that I often use, and I just like the look and feel of the text, layout, etc. I am not a programmer, coder, or otherwise, so I apologize if my questions are elementary. I was using the Wordpress 2010 theme, I like the general layout of it – especially the header. How can I make problog look like that in the sense of header image, and layout above the postings section?

Hey Wayne, I can help you get the theme up and running like the demo but unfortunately can’t assist on custom work. I can refer you to a few places if you send me a message via my profile page – thanks!

I seem to be having issues with the twitter integration. It will not pull in the tweets. The blog is Would you be able to help me?

Can you send me a screenshot of the settings you’re using? Also, please test with all other plugins temporarily disabled to see if there’s a conflict somewhere. Thanks!
