I am writing concerning the vulnerabilities identified in versions 2.4.3 and lower of the "Booked – Appointment Booking for WordPress" plugin. I was informed by Envato Market about the potential risks and the temporary version (2.4.4) that has been provided.

However, I would appreciate a clearer timeline on when we can expect a permanent solution to this issue. Many businesses, including mine, rely heavily on this plugin for our operations. Having a vulnerable plugin without a long-term fix is a significant concern for us.

Additionally, I understand that there is an alternative plugin, “QuickCal,” which is positioned as an equivalent plugin. While I’m considering transitioning to this new plugin, it would be helpful to know if there are any plans to continue supporting the “Booked – Appointment Booking” plugin in the future.

I hope for an adequate booking solution that ensures both the functionality we need and the security of our platform.

The Booked version 2.4.4 with PHP 8 and vulnerability fixes is already available.

We may provide you with a fixed version. This will allow our customers to update Booked plugin and continue using it on the site.

We will decide in favour of plugin replacement in case the plugin author does not offer the solution and completely discontinue the plugin.

Hi,

I am having to update the theme because my host is upgrading php to ver:8

I have the child theme activated and the documentation implies that I have to delete it before I do the update: ”... 4. Proceed to Appearance > Themes, deactivate the old theme version, delete it, upload the new one (version 2.0.0) and activate it. ...” I have installed: ‘Cloe Brooks (Main Theme) – Version: 1.4’ (not Activated) and: ‘Cloe Brooks (Child Theme) – Version: 1.0’ ( Activated)

The confusion for me (and my question), is because the wording says deactivate, I take that to mean the ‘Child Theme’, as that’s the ‘Theme’ that I have activated.

Also, can I update directly from these versions to the new 2.6 version in a single step:

‘Cloe Brooks (Main Theme) – Version: 1.4’ And: ‘Cloe Brooks (Child Theme) – Version: 1.0’

Or do I need to do it incrementally? If not where can I get the previous one(s) that i will then need?

Starting from version 2.0, there is a major theme update and migration to Elementor page builder. If you choose to update the template, you need to set up the website again and re-build the content using Elementor.

Before you go ahead with the update make sure to backup your old theme’s folder. Download it to your computer locally.

You can update the theme (v.1.4) to the latest version using Update Option 3. How do I edit the mobile hamburger menu? Specifically the social buttons? It’s not in the documentation and I refuse to renew support after being forced to redo the entire website because you switched page builders.

As soon as I want to update the theme from 2.4 to 2.5, the following error occurs:

Some items are not updated! Attention! The page will reload in 5 seconds to update the list of available backups!

What do I have to do here? This has never happened to me before with any theme and I have certainly bought over 30 themes.
