Best Regards,When I use the “exclude categories” it does the opposite of what you’d expect. Instead of hiding the category from the blog, it remains on view. The only time it hides the posts is on the category page where it says “no posts found”.

OK thank you – that makes sense now – as I couldn’t see a difference. One quick question – how do I delete the accent icons in the puzzles blog? I’ve tried… post_format theme_accent_bg icon-doc-text { display: none; !important; } in the ‘your css code’ section, but it doesn’t work.

We are using the theme for years now and we love it. Although this is the case it isnt really suitable for the new Wordpress version. There are still deprecated functions in the theme which are caused by old scripts. Is this something that can be solved?

Please follow this link to install the theme http://puzzles.themerex.net/doc/#installation. The PSD files do not need to be uploaded or installed. They are provided for the experienced Photoshop users, designers who are capable of making the graphical edits. If you are not the professional designer, you do not need the PSD files.

My plan is to show filtered TOP10 ratings list in a post like TOP10 in game category1, game category2 and so on and so on. Of course, we understand that to evaluate different areas (music, movies, technology, etc.) you need a completely different assessment criteria. Therefore, you can override the list of criteria in each category. To do this, open Posts – Categories, select a category you need at the bottom , in the section “Custom settings for this category” on the tab Reviews add new criteria for evaluation. IMPORTANT: The criteria established for a category is valid for all the posts in this category and sub-categories in it.

I mean I have 10 fix review criterias for default settings (for games post category) what I setting up in the theme options reviews tab. But I’d like to use different review criterias for a special post category (movies). When I try to edit an existing category (custom settings for this category) and I added 10 totally different review criterias it did not work because when I try to edit a post from movies category and modify the review percentage at bottom in this post the default review criterias shows up what Im using for games and not the criterias what I defined in the category settings….my question is:what did I wrong? If am upgrade the theme to 4.2 are you sure it will fix this bug?

My plan is that I wanna make a site for reviews and ratings but with different criterias. If I have 5 default review criterias for each post but sometimes I wont use all of them just 2 or 3 criterias.(besides I wanna show these categories too with zero value) Just for example I have 5 default criterias and 2 of them get 90% from me but the other 3 are inactive so I give them 0%. Does the inactive criterias count in the total score? Why? I think is a bug. I mean currently the total score is 90%+90%+0+0+0=36% but the correct total score value should be 90%. Is it possible to modify the functions.php of this theme to handle this case?

I discussed this issue many months ago with this concern and I was told to go into the web panel and change my PHP to 7.0, but now that is not an option and they are all planning to remove all PHP versions below 7.1. They are also suggesting I remove this theme and replace it with one that is compliant with PHP 7.1. What are our options now??
