I just purchased your theme, there is a issue with the theme, When I try to enter text on 2 of my pages Dedicated server and Virtual server, my changes will not publish.

Also these 2 pages will not take the template text either on these 2 pages only.

Here is my site http://www.pageonehostingsuccess.com/

The Shared hosting page shows fine, but the other 2 pages is not publishing anything…

Thank you very much for your purchase. That sounds more like a problem with your WordPress installation rather than the theme. Could you tell me which version of WordPress you are using and what the difference between the pages you created might be. Also, did you try to enter content manually rather than inserting it from the templates?

can i change the server images which comes in the first page slide?

Thank you very much for your interest.

Of course, you can set up the homepage slider in the theme options panel where you just upload the images you want – the only restriction is that they need to be 480×350 pixels in size.

DO you guys have a demo file with the zip package of download? We appreciate a fast response. Thanks!!! Very Nice Work btw!!!! I wll share the link once complete with my site planned for this one.

Thank you very much for your purchase.

Could you specify what exactly you require? Do you want an XML import file for the demo content? I decided to only add page templates as text files as the user has to do a few simple things himself which unfortunately cannot be accomplished with the WordPress import manager.

Yes I was looking for an XML import file for that has the demo content in it.

Unfortunately no, but you only have to follow a few steps in the documentation to set up the homepage slider, some basics and the navigation. After that you can just create static pages and paste the text templates into them. This will give you a better idea about how the theme actually works.

Where can we adjust the speed of the slider?

Thank you very much for your purchase.

I didn’t implement a backend option as I thought it wouldn’t be used anyway. You can however do a little trick to change it. Navigate to “Theme Options – General” and paste the following into ” Tracking Code”.
<script type="text/javascript"> contentSliderSpeed = 2000; </script>

The value is given in miliseconds so the example above will set the slide change to 2 seconds – default is 5.

Works great – thanks for the fast reply!

Hi , its an excellent theme but i have a problem. when i type my twitter ID @... It just says Retrieving latest tweet… and never finish loading. Why is that happening?

Thank you very much for your purchase.

Please enter your twitter profile without the @ (just your username).

i did it, but nothing happened. the website is www.portaltorres.net/latinoamerica

I see, there is a problem with one of the themes attached scripts. The required file “jquery.cookie.min.js” is not being loaded with following server side error.

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /latinoamerica/wp-content/themes/rackhost/js/jquery.cookie.min.js could not be found on this server.

Please check if the file exists in that directory and if its permissions are sufficient for the webserver to access it.

I did it, but nothing happened. the website is www.portaltorres.net/latinoamerica

still…No Solution ….

Please have a look at your webservers log files and be sure the required file can be accessed. As I wrote before this is a servers sider error which is not related to the theme. When trying to access the file I get following.

<title>406 Not Acceptable</title>
<h1>Not Acceptable</h1>
<p>An appropriate representation of the requested resource /latinoamerica/wp-content/themes/rackhost/js/jquery.cookie.min.js could not be found on this server.</p>
<p>Additionally, a 404 Not Found
error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.</p>

After entering this error message in Google you will find a lot of sites offering solutions. One would be to just add the following to your ”.htaccess” file.

<IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

I have a one question, you write in the documentation than the slider active on the “Widget” admin site. But I don’t see the slider possibility.

Please help me, thank you!

Regards, Gabor

Thank you very much for your purchase.

You have to set up the homepage slider in the “Theme Options” and not the widget admin section. To activate it you have to choose “Home” as your template in “Page Attributes”.

Okay, thank you ver much. I just have one question, How do I create a submenu ?

Please follow the process of creating a menu like it is described in the documentation. After adding navigation entries to your custom menu you can click and drag them a little to the right and below another item. This will create a dropdown navigation.

You can read more about it over here http://codex.wordpress.org/Appearance_Menus_Screen

Disregard all fine

I bought this theme. But it shows the black version. I want the blue one. What should I do?

Thank you very much for your purchase.

Please navigate to “Appearance – Theme Options – Styling” to change the color set of your site to blue, red or green.

and how about editing the main top menu? I want few things: 1. Like what happens in MS word. You click on File (no page opens but the menu opens). Similarly in this when someone places a mouse over the menu the sub menus slide opens. but when one click on the menu it doent take to any page just slides it it was doing just on mouse presence

2. A link in the menu. Like Client Area…

Please read the theme documentation regarding the navigation and additionally the WordPress codex article for menus http://codex.wordpress.org/Appearance_Menus_Screen

The default behaviour for top level items is to open a dropdown menu on hover. This cannot and should not be changed. You can add items containing ”#” as a link so it won’t point to any site. The links for the support navigation can be set up in the theme options panel.

I’m guessing third level menu items don’t work?

Thank you very much for your purchase.

Yes, unfortunately third level menus are not supported by this theme.

Can I have a list of Icons which has been used as tags I see?

I am afraid I don’t understand what you mean. What tags are you talking about?

Real shame about the third level menu items! :-(

How did you produce the blog page?

Sorry for my late reply. If you really require third level menu items I can include it in the next update. Could however take a few days.

For the blog page you just have to create a page with the attribute “Default Template” and select it as the page to display your blog posts in “Reading Settings”.

Thanks for the reply, I would love you long time if you included that in the next update!!

Cheers, Jase

Are you able to have more than 3 items on the slider with this theme?

I really like the design and professional feel of this theme. Great work.

Thank you very much. The limit for the homepage slider is four items.

Are you available for outside consulting/integration? I would send you a note privately but do not see how on this site.

Thank you very much for your purchase.

You can either contact me via my profile page or http://serifly.com – I am however currently not available for custom work. Theme support is of course always given.

Hello! I’ve recently purchased this theme & have been working on it for a bit now. I’ve just suddenly run into a puzzling error.

If you go to: [ thewordpressguys.com ] you will see the normal home page. Oddly, though, you will see content on the page, even though the “home” page has no content on it. I viewed the source of the active page and can see that under <-!Content -> there is a reference to an iframe. This is a valid page, it is the the iframe I have showing on the “Web Hosting” page. How did it get on the home page too? How do I remove it? It doesn’t appear to be referenced anywhere within the Dashboard, except on the “Web-Hosting” page.

Thanks! -Alex.

Thank you very much for your purchase.

That is indeed odd. Did you try entering content for your homepage to check if the reference to your iframe is still there? Do you have to work with iframes or could you just paste the HTML template in a static WordPress page (change the editor from “Visual” to “HTML”)? I really don’t have a clue how this can happen.

If you can’t figure it out you are free to create a temporary WordPress account and I will have a look at it.

Yes, when I add content to the ‘Home’ page, that shows below the mystery iframe. I’d LOVE to put the HTML in the WP itself instead of using an iframe, however, when I do it - the theme itself breaks & nothing displays correctly. When I take that same EXACT code, in an .HTML file & viewed online, it all shows perfectly. Not sure what was going on there - but I didn’t want to fight with it. If you can fix that too, that’d be great! What is an email I can send your temporary WP credentials too?

Please go to http://themeforest.net/user/Serifly – scroll down a little and you should see a contact form on the right side. You can also always contact me via my own site http://serifly.com/ on where you can find an email address.
