I love this theme but I have a question before buy it…
Is it possible in the home page instead of having the big slider just have the portfolio?
Thanks for the comment. We’re glad you like our themes.
There are different options for the homepage layout built-in with this theme. The black demo ( http://demo.udthemes.com/raw/wordpress/black/ ) uses a homepage layout that only displays a portfolio index.
Let us know if you had something else in mind and we’ll let you know if it’s possible or might require customization.
Thats great but would it be possible to have the black version buy with the white? because I´ve noticed that in the black version the simple pages are also black and I need them white!
Also I have notice that the simple pages such as the team does not get until the end of the page, the images and the words do not get until the end… I don´t know if I´m explaining myself…
Do you understand what am I saying? would it be possible to rich the text and images more centered instead to the left??
You could indeed have the header black as in the black demo and the pages white. This can be set in the Foundry Theme Options Panel under Colors.
Please send us a link to you site to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll take a look at the inner pages and help you out.
hi, i just bought the item and when it will install on my wordpress installation fails because it lacks the style sheet and can not install, I need an urgent solution.
Thank you for contacting us.
You are getting this error because the wrong folder is uploaded to WordPress.
Here is what you need to do:
1. Unzip the folder you downloaded from ThemeForest
2. Browse the contents and find the actual theme folder called raw.zip, this is the folder you’ll need to upload.
Let us know if we can assist you further. You can also contact us through email at email@example.com and we’ll be happy to help yo out.
the site is not fully responsive to explorer of any version.
i get different problems in different versions of the browser.
for example the headline text in the default page is broken,
the images are stretched, and the social media icons are not showing or
broken (depend on the different versions of the browser)
what should i do ?
Raw is indeed fully responsive from desktop down to mobile. From what you are explaining thought it seems that something else might be going with your install. Please shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a link to your site and we’ll take a look and make sure to get this sorted for you.
I have a pre-purchase question. It there a way to make the homepage slider less harsh? For example, to have it slide slower or dissolve into the next image?
You can indeed slow down the speed and also set it to fade the slides instead of sliding them.
Let us know if you have any further questions.
Is there a way to turn off the bullets on the top right of the shortcode slider and only have the arrows for navigation on the bottom left? I can’t see where to turn that off.. you can see what I’m talking about at www.dawn-robertson.com if you click on one of the pictures it takes you to a page with the slider. thanks btw.. love this theme.
The bullet nav can be hidden with CSS. I suggest this instead of editing the JS call to the slider, so that if you change your mind you can simply remove a like of CSS . Go to Foundry > CSS Editor and add the following:
display: none !important;
Let me know if you got this working and if we can assist you further.
Quick question. Does epic slider support lazy loading of images? I know it is not included as an option with in the admin panel, but I need to know if it is a supported function.
Lazy loading of images is not supported by the slider, it loads all slides before showing the first slide.
Hello, is a dummy xml file included?
Thanks for getting in touch.
Yes, the demo content is included as a WordPress XML file where all the images are replaced with dummy images.
i set the project order in the “order” field
but it does not effect the actual order in the portfolio page.
any idea why?
Please shoot an email to email@example.com and we’ll help you out with this.
hey i sent you an e-mail about the problem more than a week ago. still no answer – i need help.
Sent you an email yesterday with the solution.

Hi, I bought this theme but can’t use TT
when I upload this theme on my wordpress, they say “there’s no style.css” so I unzip a file and upload on FTP, setting is successed but not working…. how can I use this theme? Help me
The reason you get this message is because the wrong folder is uploaded. What you need to do is to unzip the folder you downloaded from ThemeForest, open it up and look for a zip folder called “raw.zip”. This is the folder that you need to upload to WordPress.
Let me know if you get it working and if I can assist you further.
Before purchase question…
Is it possible to increase the size of the images on the blog posts and overview?
By default you cannot increase the blog post featured image size, to do so the theme would need to be customized. Do you want to increase both width and height or only one of them? We do have a paid customization service that could help you with this customization. If of interest, please shoot an email to email@example.com with your request and we’ll take it from there.
i already sent this question here and via mail and i got no answer.
i set the project order in the “order” field but it does not effect the actual order in the portfolio page.
We apologize for the late reply but we thought we sent out an email to you last week with the solution. We have responded to you by email.
Your theme is awesome. Just two questions:
Is it possible to create a page with a title, some text and a portfolio filtered by just some categories (I mean, not the whole portfolio)? If it is posible, how does it works? With shortcodes or with a page builder?
Is it possible to show the images of a portfolio single project displayed one below the other?
Thanks so much.
Thank you for contacting us and thanks for the comment!
By default this is not possible. You can only have one filterable portfolio. What you could do though if you just wanted to show individual categories is to link directly to the different category pages from the main menu.
For the project pages you could use the image shortcode instead of a featured image and display one image below another.
Let me know if we can assist you further.
Can this theme support WooCommerce??
Raw has not been tested with WooCommerce. However, we do have a paid customization service that could customize the theme for you and possibly integrate WooCommerce. If of interest, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your request and we’ll take it from there.
Hello – I am having issues with lightbox.. I am trying to emulate the preview>portfolio>beautiful girls section of your demo.. When I do, I get this: http://www.justinscottphotography.com/portfolio/weddings/
First I want to know why I have spaces between each row of images unlike your sample and secondly I am getting the error: “The requested content cannot be loaded.
Please try again later.”
The reason the pages look different is because the page on our demo is using the WordPress Gallery shortcode and your page seems to be using the Lightbox shortcode. If you want your page to look like the page in our demo, simply change to using the Gallery shortcode.
The reason you’re getting the “The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.” error is because the URLs you are linking to don’t exist. If you put the URL in the address bar in your browser you’ll see they go to “Page not found”. You can check the URL to each image in the Media Modal.
Hope this helps. If there’s anything else we can help you with, please feel free to join us in our Support Forum at http://support.udthemes.com/ or send us an email and we’ll be happy to assist.
Thank you, I will give this a try.
Changing to a gallery worked great! Just three final questions:
1) How do I specify the gallery thumbnail size. In your demo, the thumbnails are 435×294 but by default mine are really big.
1a) Is there a need to make separate low resolution thumbs for each image in the gallery?
2) In your demo, when you click an image in a gallery, it opens up in a lightbox and then you can click the right arrow to cycle through all images in that gallery. How do I set that up? Currently, clicking an image just takes me to a page with the image and the ability to comment ect on it.
1.You can choose between four different sizes, namely small, medium, large and full-size for the thumbnails in a WordPress gallery. To add a size, switch to text view and add size=”small” to the shortcode. Note that in our demo we use size=”full-size” and four columns.
2. There is no need to make separate low resolution images for the thumbnails. Just make sure you optimize the images that you use in the gallery and you should be good to go.
3. To launch images in the lightbox set the “Link to” attribute of each image to “Media File” in the Media uploader.

switching to text view and adding size=”whatever” does not seem to do anything at all. What am I missing. for example, here is what my shortcode looks like:
[gallery link=”file” columns=”2” size=”small” ids=”307,306,304”]
the result is: http://www.justinscottphotography.com/portfolio/test-2/?preview=true&preview_id=302&preview_nonce=1bbbc533eb
Does this work in conjunction with dashboard>settings>media ?
ideally I would be able to specify what “small” is i.e. 435×294 and then apply it in the short code by saying size=”small”
Ultimately I want all of my thumbnails to be in a perfect grid, regardless if the image is portrait or landscape at a specified “center cut” resolution.
Thank you for your help.
Sorry mixed up the sizes there. The correct sizes are: thumbnail, medium, large, and full-size.
If you are using one of the first three sizes WordPress will crop the images to predefined sizes set under Settings > Media as you mention. If you want the full sized image you should use “full-size”, but for a perfect gird all images need to be cropped to the same size if you are using “full-size”.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you. Im not having any luck with implementing set dimensions in settings>media. I save it, but it never works. Ive read that its sometimes necessary for a plugin to “regenerate the thumbnails” for it to work? It seems to have a mind of its own as far as what width to display at. even at 1 column
Please shoot us an email at email@example.com with a link to your site and your login details so that we can take a look at what is going on. Currently we cannot see the page as it is saved as a draft and not published.
The answer to my problem seemed to be fixed with the plugin “regenerate thumbnails” -
Use this tool to regenerate thumbnails for all images that you have uploaded to your blog. This is useful if you’ve changed any of the thumbnail dimensions on the media settings page. Old thumbnails will be kept to avoid any broken images due to hard-coded URLs.
You can regenerate specific images (rather than all images) from the Media page. Hover over an image’s row and click the link to resize just that one image or use the checkboxes and the “Bulk Actions” dropdown to resize multiple images (WordPress 3.1+ only).
Thumbnail regeneration is not reversible, but you can just change your thumbnail dimensions back to the old values and click the button again if you don’t like the results.
Thank you for all your help.
Glad to hear you solved the issue.
If there is anything else we can help you with just let us know.
Is the demo provided as a template that I can edit? I love the layout as it is so I’d just like to put my own images / text in. Please let me know as I’d like to buy this theme asap.
All our WordPress themes come with a demo XML file that you can easily import to set up your site as our demo. The pages, layouts and text are all included and the images are replaced with placeholders so you can easily swap them with your own content.
Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.
Does the theme work with wordpress 4.0?
Yes, all our current WordPress Themes are compatible with WordPress 4.0.
Perfect. thanks for the superfast reply
how can insert a video slider in home page fullwidth ?
possible vimeo video or html5 ?
Please visit this? section of the online documentation which will show you how to insert an HTML5 background video in the slider. Note that the slider only support HTML5 background videos and not Vimeo.
I love your theme first of all and it’s by far the easiest I’ve worked with.
This is concerning portfolio / filterable menu
My client is a Photographer and what she would like is: if your press “portrait” in the filterable menu, then all the cases in “portrait” should be visible at the top. (Just like you see on so many other WP portfolio themes).
Right now they stay where they are and the rest fade out. She has more than 1500 photos on her site and thats about 200 cases – that’s a lot of srcolling
Can you help me?
Thanks in advance
Thanks for the comment! Much appreciated
By default hiding and reorganizing the thumbnails isn’t possible in Raw. However, we do have a paid customization service that could handle this for you. Basically it would consist of rewriting the filtering function for the portfolio. If you are interested in having this done, just shoot an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your request and we’ll take it from there.
I love you theme and it is fitting perfectly with my project!
I have a few urgent questions if you don’t mind advising?
1. How can I display “Latest Projects” across all pages at the bottom and not only the homepage? Currently there is only the option to add this section to the homepage. Is this possible?
2. I would like to add a “splash video page” using HTML5 before the website loads. What would you recommend best will work?
Look forward to hearing back from you soon.
