Is this theme still receiving updates? And will this theme work with current WP 6.1.1?
I maintain a website with this theme and wonder whether a switch to another theme is necessary when this theme does not receive updates anymore.

Hello, I am using RealChurch v1.2 Since I updated with Wordpress 5.9, the Features Image does not seem to work any more when I want to create a new post.
Whenever I want to password protect a new page, it works fine if I enable the “SHOW PAGE CONTENT” checkbox in the Page Options. But if I disable it in order to rather add a “Content” item in the Drag&Drop Page Builder, the page content is not rendered and no password is requested to view the content of the page for the end-users.
Is there a newer version of the theme that is compatible with Wordpress 5.9 ?

You can check if you’re on the currency version in Appearance > Theme. The current one is V1.2.1
Thank you for your prompt reply, Yes I’ve followed the theme update article, and I’m trying to use auto updater via Envato Market Plugin, everything the article was followed, I can see the theme via Envato Market plugin but no option to update. Currently, my theme version is Version: 1.06. I’ve checked under the plugin, I don’t have GoodLayers’ under plugins. But via the Dashboard I can See Real Church when it’s clicked you will see goodlayers admin panel but there is no option to update it.

I can’t seem to be able to Delete or Move or Down any of the Items any more. I can edit current ones but nothing else.

My website is down and the reason is with PHP version update.

Hi, It seems that on the homepage under the Upcoming Events section, the left and right navigation buttons, have stopped working. I have 18 events published and the number of events in the element is set to show 25, but the arrows/navigation buttons will not work. Sometimes the pagination shows and sometimes it doesn’t. Thank you for getting back to me. I did have the latest theme. Just in case it was the theme, I deleted, and reinstalled it. I also disable all plug-in except for the Really Simple SSL plugin and the navigation buttons still didn’t work. Still not sure what else to try.

I have embedded a video from Youtube as an Iframe. The height seems to be fixed at 280px. In what file is this referenced?

That height is added to make the video responsive, it depends on the video width and its aspect ratio.
You can find code for that in the \wp-content\themes\realchurch\javascript\jquery.fitvids.js file.
I fixed it with CSS:

Hello; In the article (https://goodlayers.ticksy.com/article/1894/) it is mentioned that all theme functions are wrapped with the if( !function_exists(‘some_function’) ) however I’m trying to use print_event_grid funciton in my functions.php file and getting error. Any ideas?

You can override this particular function by copying the event-item.php file into your child theme and editing it there. Make sure to keep the same folder structure.

Hi, this theme hasnt given me problems in the past, but sadly since the wp update to 5.5 it seems i cannot use the page builder. I cannot edit, remove, resize or add components using the builder and now during this pandemic the client whom i purchased the site for wishes to do a bit of a page design rework.. Any advice? I already tried disabling all plugins and updating to latest but no dice. Regards JP

Please help! Since the Wordpress update, nothing within the Real Church theme options is editable, nothing will save. I also have drop downs for my main menu that are not working. When is this fix proposed to be pushed?
