In your IDXexpress demo page (http://inspirythemesdemo.com/realhomes/idx/city/irvine/) the IDX search widget is in the sidebar on the right. On the results page, the property results are on the left and the sidebar is still on the right. I have selected the template Property Search Template with Sidebar but the sidebar appears on the left side when I view the page: http://www.resolvecghosting.com/viceroy/property-search/ Then, on the results page, the sidebar disappears and only the results remain. My questions are:
1) how do I get the sidebar to show on the right instead of the left? 2) How do I get the sidebar to continue to show on the results page?

The base theme that you can visit here http://inspirythemesdemo.com/realhomes/ does not require an IDX plugin and only following section http://inspirythemesdemo.com/realhomes/idx/ works using dsIDXpress plugin. So, basically this http://inspirythemesdemo.com/realhomes/property-search/ results page is only for the properties you add manually to your site and it only supports left sidebar.

Thank you for answering, but perhaps I need to refine my question. I am in fact using the dsIDXpress plugin but my results page is not formatted like your demo results page. So can you please share your configuration for “Template for dsSearchAgent” which is in the General section under the IDX admin menu? There are multiple options in a dropdown menu and none of them has a layout where the search results are provided with a dsIDXpres searchbox in the sidebar on the right side (I do have the widget configured with a dsIDXpres search).

Seems to me there is a misunderstanding. The following Search Results page works only for the local properties you upload via this theme.

I totally agree with what you’re saying. But it looks like you don’t understand what I’m saying. The dsIDXpress properties results page you linked to displays a map, the search results below the map, and the search form in the sidebar. On my dsIDXpress search results page, I get the map, the search results below it, but a blank sidebar (no dsIDXpress property search form). In my homepage property search form, there are the manually entered properties that is demo content but I also configured the search to include Irvine, CA which is a location that is pulled from IDX. So if I search for Irvine properties, the property results page IS the dsIDXpress search results page. My problem is that I can’t seem to get the dsIDXpress search form to show up in the sidebar.
So again, my question to you is: How did you get the dsIDXpress search form to show up in the right sidebar on your dsIDXpress search page? Here’s a screenshot of the IDX configuration section where the results page template can be chosen. Which one did you select in your demo install?

That is a ‘dsIDX Sidebar’ area. You can drop your desired widget to that widgetized area under Appearance >> Widgets page.

I created a website on a test site and then moved it to a yahoo hosting site from go-daddy hosted site and the phone and email that used to show up in the header is no longer there. I checked the theme options against the backuped files and nothing is different. Do you think there is a script conflict, or am I missing something? i like very much your theme but i need to be able to create different search based on type of product residential : bathroom bedroom commercial : ROI or other criteria
do you have a way to do it or can you in the future offer a way to have more flexibility with the search and the field
maybe in the new update that should not be too complicated and give client lots of flexibility

Currently, there is no default way to add new search fields. However, we have in our plans to add more flexibility in the search form fields in the upcoming theme updates. But there is no specific timeline when it will officially available.

Surprised to see that the theme requires a paid membership to dsIDXExpress for the plug in and search function to work properly.
My client already has accounts with MLS, and RLS.
Can the free demo version of this be used indefinitely, or is it just a trial and you have to pay to use this theme as advertised?

OK thanks. I”m just finding out that IDX is pretty much the standard for web based real estate tools.
Great theme, simple and works fine. However I’m having trouble with the advance search functionality, every time I search it displays ‘404 page not found”.
I have create a page for advance search, set the template to property search template, published the page and set its URL in the theme options and it still shows a 404 page not found when I click on the search button.
I noticed that when I open the advance search page, it works fine but when I click the search button and it adds the parameters to the URL (property-search/?keyword= ...etc) it shows 404 page not found. I reviewed the documentation many times on that part and I don’t think I missed anything.

I’m building a multilingual site. Is it possible to have different sliders display on homepage? (I’m using Slider Revolution plugin. I want to show same image slider but different text for each language)
Seems like its fixed by “Slider Alias” under Theme Options. Can only display same slider in each language.

This problem is not resolved. I’m not creating a new slider where I can just simply alter the short codes. I’m talking about the slider display in area below header on homepage. They’re under Theme Options/Home Slider – by selecting Display Slider Based on Slider Revolution Plugin. Which is fixed by “Slider Alias” name. Hope its clear.

Exactly, that’s what WPML plugin documentation described in that guide. There are two possible ways to have different revolution sliders on the homepage.
In the first scenario you can create two different sliders and add the first slider alias code in the theme options for the default language. After that translate that slider alias short code (you have added to the theme option) with other other slider’s alias shortcodes under WPML >> String Translation page for other languages.
In the second scenario, you can translate the slider directly as Revolution Slider’s (v. 3.1+) direct support for WPML to directly create multilingual sliders. In this case, the same shortcode is used in all languages, but the displayed content is filtered by language.
You can translate all theme option values under same WPML >> String translation page.

Hi, When I upload a property, the City and the sub category is in the same box, how can I separate them, example: in my country we have Cities and Sectors, so, I would like that when a client needs to upload a property as we have many deferents cities and sectors that they could be on separates fields.

Unfortunately, this theme doesn’t offer location multi dropdown on the property submit page at this time. However, we have in our plans to add multi dropdown for the location field in the upcoming theme updates. But there is no specific timeline.

any chance you could implement a cache plugin on your demo….a client is trying to decide and when we run it through the Google speed test it comes up in the low 20’s…which means it probably does not having caching implemented.
also, I am not really find a listing of shortcodes that come with this theme except typography. Do you have a different link for a site that shows all your shortcodes?

???? I must not have explained my request adequately. This is a presales question and request. The client has picked several themes as a potential theme. I am helping the client do a comparative analysis of which theme would be better. The other theme demos have a speed rating of 70+ in Google and your demo is in the low 20’s. And, I am assuming since the theme has Visual Composer it has a full range of shortcodes but your demo does not list those shortcodes. Not sure if you looked at my profile but buying themes around here is not my first time.

I have not applied any page speed optimization techniques on theme demo as I want to show the original source to buyers. As using page optimization techniques can make the things messy fur customers who look into source before buying.
Regarding Visual Composer, Existing version only provide its compatibility but upcoming version 1.9 will provide an enhanced “properties” short code to list properties with almost every filter and settings possible.

I have a quesion before I buy thus theme. Is it possible easilly to add features in the search area ? In fact in my country we have a very important information called RC (revenu cadastral) that is in fact taxes you have to pay if you become owner of a house). I’ve seen in the demo that I can add additional detail so I could add easily a value FOR RC but then can I add a RC from RC to filter easilly in the search form ?

I’m interested in buying your theme but I have a few questions first:
I want to create a website for a construction company that has a small ammount of properties for sale ( around 10).
But it has a larger ammount of properties or constructions that has created with multiple images per construction and maybe a description. It is like a portfolio for a construction company.

Hi – i have bought the real estate theme. I had signed up on the support forums but when I sign on it is saying bad userid and when I try to reset password, I never received the email to reset it so I will ask question here. How can I display certain types or areas when a drop down option picked in the menu. For exampe, I have student housing to on the main menu. I then have a drop down for grad student housing . When the link for grad student housing is picked, how can I just show housing for that criteria. Thanks
