On my website www.gotoknow.nl, there is an portfolio page that I can’t change into another layout. I want to make a photoalbum on this page, but it still is an portfolio page. Now I made a link on this portfolio article called ‘Het Interieur’, to an normal page where I can show my photo’s, but that’s not the way it should be. Can you change this for me? Or can you help me?

Our theme is works only with default (built in WP core) gallery. And this is totally correct solution because it is impossible to predict which plugin (from huge amount of existing) user will use on their site 
Default gallery can be created/added under ‘Add media’->’Create Gallery’ when create new portfolio project or edit existing project. Next code in back-end parse default gallery and create popup slideshow from images.
But here, that guy is added gallery from thirdparty plugin and of course our theme just ignore that and show only project featured image instead
Hope You see what I mean.
So how it can be fixed?: 1. Enter the project edit screen; 2. remove existing thirdparty gallery (or gallery shortcode); 3. Click ‘Add Media’ button -> ‘Create gallery’; 4. Select images for Gallery (check); 5. Click ‘Insert into post’; 6. Save or Update Happy smile—that’s all.

Hi Scott, great Theme, we use it since months and you were fast with helping something back then. We now have a new, huge problem… The Menu stopped working with WP 4.7.3. Already heard about, something we could do? Thanks a lot!

Should work okay. I’ve yet to throw it on 4.7 – We updated the theme less than 2-3 months or so ago and it worked fine. You shouldn’t have an issue.
Although to date I’ve never had to do it, we are happy to issue a refund if it doesn’t work out.

I recently bought this theme for a friend of mine, who is starting a blog about their journey on the appalachian trail. You see it on www.thewalkingswiss.com
May I ask you a question about the frontpage. I’m not sure if it is support or a customization question. But I allow myself to ask you that, because I’m sure it is just a little fix.
On the frontpage there are the different sections like about, portfolio, blog. So becausie it is a blog-website it does not need the portfolio section. Therefore we’d like to hide that section on the front page. Is there a easy way to do that? Or do I have to hide it in the template files (hardcoding)

Thank you for getting the theme! I’m sorry to say, In its current version their is no easy way to remove a section of the blog.
You would need a developer to remove that section, I can refer you to one of my guys if you like.
I’m not clear what your goal with the theme is, however it looks like you guys travel the world, showing off cool pictures of your hikes/walks might be a sweet way to show off your journey.
Just a thought, no pressure of course!

Good news. You have inspired our developer to make some changes to the theme. I’ll hopefully roll up the update (which you get for free, since you already bought the theme) sometime next week or the following week. So, you’ll be able to do all that stuff.

Hi Mike, I’m Scott the creator of the theme. I’m really sorry for the trouble and we are on fixing it. Actually I just responded to your email a few moments ago as well
Check your WP install, we fixed your website. Now, you just have to create the pages yourself. We are no longer allow our themes to automatically install the required pages. The good news is that you can randomly create a page to assign as your home and it will work fine.
Hi – I successfully installed the Theme PURE RETRO – however, the automatic Pages were not “Automatically” created. What attributes do I need to do to create all the Auto Pages:

Hi there! Thank you for purchasing the theme. You are always welcome to ask me some questions. I’ll make sure your site looks 150% awesome, before we are done. Basically, all the pages auto create upon installing the theme. You may just have to agree a “pop up” that appears on the top of the theme after you install it. If that didn’t occur. I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the theme, that will automatically create the pages, just agree to the popup and active the required plugins it recommends. If that is not the issue, I suggest taking a look at your admin panel within your Wordpress site. Follow “Appearance—>Pure Retro”. On that section you’ll see all you need to adjust all the pages you listed above. Please give that a try and let me know if you have any problems! I’m happy to keep giving advice and solve the issue. – Scott
