The feature you are asking is a part of plugin and not with theme. Our theme handles design and look. The feature you are asking is functionality related so you can achieve it using a plugin.
We are using WP Event Manager plugin and I think the plugin provides upcoming events support. So please try this plugin with any theme and check it’s real functionality.

The theme looks great but upon installing it and selecting Demo 1, it doesn’t look anything close to the example. I try changing the header to match Demo 1 and it doesn’t come close – the button doesn’t show up / work, lots of things missing. I’ve installed hundreds of themes from ThemeForest so not sure what is up with this one….

The Kirki plugin just released their new version v4.0.3 which has so many bugs. The bug effects our all theme. So we suggest you to revert back to the older version. The steps are very easy and it just takes 1 minute to solve the issue. We created video for the steps. Please see this video:

The countdown timer doesn’t work after installing demo content.

You just need to add time again as the data was with old date. I will update the countdown data.
