Missing style sheet error when installing the theme

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a "Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This error message does not mean that the theme you have purchased is broken, it simply means it has been uploaded incorrectly. Luckily, there is a very easy fix.

Portfolio “Short Description” textbox is not editable and not showing content anymore

This is a bug in WordPress version 5.6, an update should be released by the WordPress team, however, to fix this issue until then, install & activate the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin, and the issue should be fixed.

Theme or core plugin can’t be activated

If the theme or the core plugin can’t be activated (and maybe returning error 500), this could be your hosting server is using a very old version of PHP. We recommend at least version 5.6.x or even better 7.x. Please contact your hosting company and ask them to update the PHP version for your site.

Getting server error 500 when importing the demo content

This indicates a low server configuration, usually on shared hosting (low values for PHP settings, missing PHP modules, and so on) that can’t hold up against the size of the import. It also could depend on the server load in the time of importing, most of the time several tries will end up with a success. If the problem persists, try to increase your PHP resources by editing the .htaccess as below:

Using your FTP client or your hosting’s file manager, find the .htaccess file located directly inside your WordPress’s parent folder (where wp-content and wp-admin ...etc folders are located). Make sure that your FTP client or hosting’s file manager is set to show hidden files to find the .htaccess file. Once you found the file, choose to edit it (your hosting’s file manager should have such an option and your FTP client should download and open the file in a code or text editor installed on your machine). Paste the code below at the end of the file and save it (in the FTP client case, make sure that the file is uploaded after saving).

php_value upload_max_filesize 64M
php_value post_max_size 64M
php_value memory_limit 256M
php_value max_execution_time 300
php_value max_input_time 300

If nothing worked, please contact your hosting company and ask them for help.
