Great theme but i would like to how i can hide title in the page.

Hello, thank you so much, I’m glad you like the theme. You can add the following code to “Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS” to hide the title:

.fy-heading {
    display: none;
}

Having structured data issues. With the base configuration on a new install…

All the fields it says are missing are filled in on the site everywhere they can be.

I tried again on another server and it’s the same.

Hello, thanks for the information. I will fix that in the next version of the theme!

Can’t install demo data. Get a “Error: Internal Server Error (500)” when trying to import. Running latest WP 5.2.2.

I’d love to see you add a Notes field to the reservation section, so that staff can add internal notes about the specific reservation. We use the reservation feature solely for booking our private dining/event room, and notes are a definite need (we need to note type of event, table configurations, if deposits have been paid, if a/v equipment is needed, menu item selections, etc.). If there was a way to add custom fields to the reservation feature it would be even better (we’d love to make some of those items like deposit received, a/v needed, etc. simple check boxes).

thx!

I can’t seem to get the added function to activate. I even temporarily switched back to parent theme and added the snippet to that functions.php to see if it would work there and I still don’t see the new fields. Is there something special I need to do to activate the new function?

No, you don’t need to activate the function. I have no idea why this doesn’t work. Please, send me login credentials to your WordPress, and I will check it out.

Any idea why my google fonts do not work in any iphone browser?

I have no idea. Can you send me a link? You can use private support request on https://themeforest.net/item/salmon-restaurant-wordpress-theme/17032370/support

Turns out it wasn’t an open font on google, but linked to commercial. all fixed. thx.

Last question for today. On mobile the Subscribe header doesn’t center; it aligns left making things look a little askew/sloppy. Quick fix?

I will fix in the next version of the theme. Quick fix is …
@media (max-width: 1023px) {
    .fy-newsletter-heading {
        text-align: center !important;
    }
}
... add to “Appearance > Customize > Additonal CSS”.

Thx!

For Events, a easy way to duplicate or set an event to recur would be most excellent! For instance, we have trivia night every Wednesday night. While being able to duplicate an event would save time compared to having to keep adding a new event each week, having the ability to set an event to recur weekly based on the initial date would be even better! Great support so far! We highly recommend FORQY themes!

Maybe the “Post Duplicator” [https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-duplicator/] plugin should help with that, but I’m not sure, I didn’t test it yet.

Thanks, I’m glad you like our themes and service. I appreciate it.

Yes, it works. ;-)

Thx!

Last thing I’m having issues with is on mobile on homepage. Is the slider background area showing up directly below the slider image. It’s a big grey block under the slider image and on top of the call to action items (we use Pub-based template). The grey block is there no matter if Badge is enabled or not. If badge is enabled, part of the badge is cut off. If badge is disabled, it’s just a big empty grey block.It almost seems like the slider image itself needs to be made to expand more to cover that area (plus adjust badge placement if it is enabled). Cheers!

Please, can you show your site? I will send you a code.

sent an email.

Hello. You can try to add the following code to “Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS”:
.fy-slideshow-badge {
    z-index: 90;
}
@media (max-width: 767px) {
    .fy-slideshow-badge {
        bottom: -20px;
    }
}

Hello, i am having some issues with my reservations. Some times I get a reservation with NaN.NaN.NaN. I guess this is something related to the date format. Is there any way to avoid this and make the user fill it correctly?

Hello. This is weird, because the date is required, and the reservation without date can’t be successfully done. Please, can you send me a link to your site? I would like to check it out. Maybe is there some configuration with issues.

Hello. It seems that there is a problem when our websites from your theme loads in Firefox. It just takes too much time to load the pages (I even scroll the mouse and then it loads). In Chrome, everything is working fine. Please, let us know about this. The logo just turns around for ever and the pages don’t open in Firefox.

Hello. That is weird. I will need to test your site in Firefox. Please, send me a link to your site privately through the support request on https://themeforest.net/item/salmon-restaurant-wordpress-theme/17032370/support

Thank you for the prompt reply. It’s working fine now. Have a great day.

The shopping cart won’t go away

Hello. Probably you don’t have correctly set up the cart page. https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-pages/

I have installed the theme on a new WP install and install WC with it. I am unable to remove the cart from the mobile header.

I have tried it 4 times.

When will the next update be?

Hi, I have been trying to change the font size on the slider and the css I have been putting in hasn’t worked maybe I am missing something and there is a easier way to do it. I also I am trying to display our social media on mobile

Hello. You can try to add the following CSS to the “Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS”:
.fy-slideshow .fy-slide .fy-caption .fy-caption-header h2 {
  font-size: 72px;
}

@media screen and (max-width: 1023px) {
  .fy-slideshow .fy-slide .fy-caption .fy-caption-header h2 {
    font-size: 48px;
  }
}

@media screen and (max-width: 767px) {
  .fy-slideshow .fy-slide .fy-caption .fy-caption-header h2 {
    font-size: 36px;
  }
}
Also, you can change the base font size of headings on “Appearance > Customize > Fonts > Heading > Font Size”. Social icons in the header aren’t possible to display on mobile.

Thank you but we were actually trying to change text just below the h2 on the slider. We would like to make the smaller text in the slider a little bigger

.fy-slideshow .fy-slide .fy-caption .fy-caption-content {
  font-size: 32px;
}

@media screen and (max-width: 1023px) {
  .fy-slideshow .fy-slide .fy-caption .fy-caption-content {
    font-size: 24px;
  }
}

VKNL Purchased

Hello! i bought this theme time ago, its perfect and I like it so much, and i just have one question, it is an option to chose which sections of the menu appear first? i mean, change the order of the menu sections.

Thank you so much.

Hello. You can try the plugin “WP Term Order” [https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-term-order/] to re-order menu sections. Hope it helps.

Hi,

I purchased this theme and installed in two different hosting accounts, but I get the same issues! The FORQY plugin seems to be the culprit. I have no other plugins installed.

- The Appearance > Customize interface loads a blank screen - None of the drop downs in the Dashboard menus work (when I hover over appearance, etc. the sub menu does not appear)

So I can’t really do anything.

When I deactivate the FORQY plugin, both issues are resolved. Can you please tell me how to fix?

Hello. Today I released a new version 1.3.5 of the “FORQY Restaurant” plugin. Please update to this version in your admin, refresh the browser cache, and issues should be resolved. Hope that helps

That did the trick, thank you!

Hi! It seems that some update has made the images disappear randomly on newly made pages specially on the mobile. I can see the boxes of the content but nothing inside. I use a child theme – but I have not made any CSS-changes myself to affect this. Please help.

Resolved. Please check your inbox.
