I have bought the theme recently. But I go an issue on the widget called “Subscribers Counters”, the number of followers on Facebook works but not with Twitter, could you help me please ?

Thanks for your answers. I’ve got 2 others issues :

1. How can I get the same widget as you on your demo called “Latest Posts”. I dont want to have 12 articles on the same page (I would like 4 articles per pages) ex : https://www.dropbox.com/s/27l27ua54rf7lxs/Capture%20d%E2%80%99%C3%A9cran%202014-02-06%20%C3%A0%2021.42.59.png

2. Do you think I can enlarge my logo ? Because this is too small for me

Thanks again ! Nicolas

And also, if you can explains to me, why I can’t create a new sidebar. Because in my screen is not the same as the documentation (https://www.dropbox.com/s/xluctl0lau5j1pp/Capture%20d%E2%80%99%C3%A9cran%202014-02-07%20%C3%A0%2000.42.54.png)

Thanks again and sorry for the double posts

Hi Nicolas,

I have replied to your email. Please check.

Hi, how can I import the demo theme data? I’d like to set up the slider on the homepage as you have in the demo but can not figure out how to do it. Thanks!

For the slider, have you set up the homepage? There is slider option on that page settings. Please have a look at the theme documentation, there is information on how to set up homepage.

Here’s how you can import the demo:

  1. Log into that blog as an administrator.
  2. Go to Tools -> Import. Select “WordPress” from the list.
  3. Upload the demo content file
  4. Select to import all content and attachement etc. Thats it.

If you have more questions, let me know.

I’d like to know if comments can be published by the readers. They’d be logged in through Facebook.

Like threads for each post.

If you want to use the Facebook comments, there are several plugins available which you can install to enable the Facebook comments. If you have more questions, let me know.

Cant seem to get the featured slider to show.. I upload all the demo images and data and still cant seem to figure it out.. also if i want to make the background and image what would I need to do? thanks!

Have you set up the homapage? It contains the slider settings. Have you looked at the theme documentation file? It contains information on how to set up the homepage. You will find the documentation file in the theme package, please have a look and if you need any help regarding this, let me know.

pobalby a simple question but i can not find the widget slider for the homepage with text?

Have you set up the homepage? You will see the slider settings in that page settings. Please have a look at the theme documentation, it contains information on how to set up the theme. If you need further help regarding this, let me know.

I;ve set up the homepage and still am running into tons of issues. I’ve gone through the instructions.. but am having a hard time setting up the HOMEPAGE. really really need some assistance. Thank.. my site is www.itsthekid.com

Last and final question.. If I wanted to use solely the top nav and not the primary would this have any conflicts with categories? Also I’d like to add the logo to the top nav. I was hoping you could point me in the right direction. thank you!

i add the url for the background photo but it doesn’t work.

You can easily remove the primary nav from the theme, just open header.php file and remove the primary menu code from there. If you want to place the logo image on the top bar, you can also make that change in the header.php (just look at the html structure, copy and paste the logo code inside the top bar). However that would mean that you will need to adjust its css also, so you should be familiar with the code.

Regarding the background, make sure that your adding correct code for the background and the image url is valid. You can send the code which you are adding there by email using the contact form in my profile and I can take a look.

I tried to upload the theme and it gave me an error: The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Please help.

Thanks for purchasing the theme. You are getting this message because of uploading the incorrect directory. If you are uploading the theme from the WordPress dashboard, make sure that you upload the file fp_santiago.zip. If you face any difficulty in it, let me know and I will help further.

Hi, is it possible to make the featured image on a post full width and have the content and sidebar underneath?

Also for Slider and Video post. Full width

It is possible but it would require lots of changes in the theme layout structure. You need to have good understanding of the code. You can see the structure of the single post on the single.php file. The post content is inside the content div. You will need to re-arrange so that all of the content remains inside the content but you can pull the featured image above the content div.

Hi, I replied back through your support. Just wanted to make sure you received it. Thanks!

Don’t worry. You can leave your message there, I won’t miss it :) Let me know if you have further questions.

I activated the Homepage slider. Earlier today, it showed more than 3 posts up in the Main portion of the slider and then two small Featured images on the side. Now it will not go past showing 3 at a time which is weird because now there is one image missing on the right side. I am not sure what I changed or how it happened. Please help! I’m guessing that your last two posts do not have the thumbnails, that’s why they do not appear in the slider. If you will just edit those posts and attach the thumbnail or add new posts with thumbnails, they will appear. Slider will only display the posts with thumbnails. Hope it helps.

Could you enable timthumb on the slider as the picture are not showing well if the size is not the exact same as the slider… thank

The theme will crop and resize the images so that they are not stretched. However if you have previously uploaded images, then they might not be resized, you can use plugin to regenerate the previously uploaded images.

There should not be any problem with the newly uploaded images. If you are having any problem, let me know your URL. Please send that using the contact form in my profile so that I can have a look and help you with that.

I have buyed the theme but i’m not so good in webdesign. First, silly, question: How do i put the name of my site where i read “Santiago” ?

Thanks matteo

Hi Matteo,

Thanks for purchasing. Do not worry if you are not good with the web design. If you are using FTP to upload the files to your host, then you can simply create an image and rename it logo.png and replace it with the existing image in the images folder in the santiago theme folder. If you are not using FTP, then you can go to the theme options and upload the logo image there. If you need more help, let me know :)

I love this theme and have just the site for it. Just a few pre purchase questions.

1. How well is the site optimized for load speed? There are a ton of things going on with the homepage so I would want to ensure load time is lightning.

2. Have you used ccs sprites and combined the java plus css?

3. Is it fully compatible with W3 total cache?

Thanks for your interest. Here are the answers to your questions:

1. Yes, it is optimized for the load speed. I have made sure that all of page resources load properly and also used the WordPress queries to optimize the speed.

2. Java plus css? I believe you meant JavaScript. No, there is no way to combine these, neither it should be combined.

3. Yes.

If you have more questions, let me know. :)

How can I insert the google analitycs id in my web page?

Hi, The best idea would be to place the full analytics code in the footer file. Here’s how you can do that:

Open footer.php file from the theme foler (fp_santiago), and look for the following line near the end of the file.
Add your full analytics code just above that line and save the file. If you need further help regarding this, let me know :)

Hi I have set my homepage and i have two problems: 1) In 16/9 screens i normally see the sidebar on the side, but in 4/3 screens, and on ipad/mobile i see the sidebar below the content. How can i solve it?

2) The widget “Subscribers” doesn’t work with Twitter. I got the API keys and other codes, but if i click on Twitter Icon, i get a “Sorry” message

Thank you for helping me Matteo

Hi Matteo,

Thanks for purchasing. The theme has responsive layout, which adjusts according to the screen size. If you view the theme on smaller screen or on the ipad/mobiles, you will see the sidebar below the content. If you want to remove the responsive layout, you can remove all the media queries from the style.css file.

The subscribers widget works fine. Just make sure that you are using correct API keys. Have you created an app on twitter? If yes, send me the API keys which you are using in the widget. Please send that information by email using the contact form in my profile. Thanks.

Hi does this theme have an option for a left hand sidebar?

There is no built in option, but it can be done with a few changes in the css. If you have any basic knowledge of css, you can easily do that. If you would need any help regarding that, let me know and I can help. If you have more questions, let me know :)

Does it allow you to set up any monetisation methods?

Thank you!

If you wish to display ads in the theme, there are multiple ways to do that. You can use the widgets in the sidebar for that. The header also allows to add the banner. You can also add anywhere in the content, I can help you with that. If you have more questions, let me know :)

Yes please, could we talk via email? This is new to me and I could really need some assistance. :)

Sure thing. Feel free to send me an email using the contact form in my profile.

Hi I just purchased this and have tried to install it – but it says installation has failed because there isn’t a style.css stylesheet. I’ve looked in the files and couldn’t find it… am I doing something wrong?

Just kidding. I found style.css – but it’s still not reading it after I upload the file.

No problem. Are you uploading it via WordPress dashboard? If yes, you should upload fp_santiago.zip file which you will find inside the package (or you can download installable file from themeforest). If you are uploading via FTP, unzip the fp_santiago.zip and upload fp_santiago folder to your themes folder. In that case make sure that you do not have another fp_santiago folder inside the folder. If you still face any problems, let me know and I’ll be help you with it.

Sorry… i have another question Where can i find the settings for slider homepage?

You can find the slider settings on the Homepage settings which are below the text editor. When you create or edit page using Homepage template, you will see those settings.

still having troubles with the top nav menu and trying to place the menu into a container.. do I need to put it into a class on the style.css or the header.php

was able to get the header moved onto the top nav menu but I can’t get it to lock when I expand… any suggestions?

Could you send me your URL by email using the contact form in my profile? Thanks.
