I have got some questions and I would be so thankful if you help me with them …

1- Would you please tell me how to change or edit the send/post button for comments ? some users may have problem finding it…

2- Would you please tell me how to add breadcrumbs/microdata to discussions and categories ? it would be a great option for mobile users too (for a better browsing experience)

3- How to have the search box on all pages including discussion pages ?

4- Probably a Bug : When I enable massages to be shown in the site form admin panel … it shows me a blank page in the from-end.

Thank you

Please ignore n4… It was due to the PHP version of my hosting account. I changed it to PHP 5.5 and it worked.

I’ll look into these, some may be a fair amount of effort, will see what I can do.

I am still waiting for your email !

Thank you

Ok, so the menu icon on mobile wont expand. Is there a fix?

Have you downloaded the latest version?

There’s a bug in silicon/js/scripts.js on line 38:

$('.DataList .Item .MItem.Category.').each(function (){

should be:

$('.DataList .Item .MItem.Category').each(function (){

The latest version of Vanilla should fix this.

Excellent, fixed the issue. Another question – is there any way to make the sticky footer bar actually stick? When I scroll down using safari, it appears to float above the bottom of the screen, and lags back and forth.

As far as I know that’s a known Safari issue. The bottom bar isn’t doing anything fancy, it’s just a fixed position element, but because Safari has a vanishing bottom bar it throws it off. I can look into it further and see if someone has hacked together a fix.

My Experience after about 1 month with this theme …

IMO this is the BEST possible theme for Vanilla forums and if there was not such a theme I would have changed the whole Vanilla software 1000 times so far.

Excellent job…

Thank you

Thanks!

Hi, is it compatible with Vanilla 2.2 now? Thanks.

Could you update your skins so they are compatible with Vanilla 2.2? I own your other two themes and want to purchase this one as well but I’m not going to unless it is 2.2 ready.

please i will like ti change the submit button or post a comment button. How do i go about it?

Would you please tell me how to change or edit the send/post button for comments ? some users may have problem finding it…

Try adding these lines of code at the end of the custom.css file in the silicon theme folder:

#Form_SendMessage, #Form_StartConversation, form.Activity .Buttons .Button, .ActivityComments .CommentForm form .Buttons .Button, #Form_PostComment{
    padding: 6px 20px 5px;
    border-radius: 2px;
    margin-left: 5px;
    width: auto;
    line-height: 1.1;
}
form.Activity .Buttons, .ActivityComments .CommentForm form .Buttons, #Form_ConversationMessage .Buttons, #ConversationForm .Buttons, #Form_PostComment {
    position: static;
    width: auto;
}
form.Activity .Buttons, .ActivityComments .CommentForm form .Buttons, #Form_ConversationMessage .Buttons, #ConversationForm .Buttons {
    margin-top: 10px
}
form.Activity > div > .TextBoxWrapper, .ActivityComments .CommentForm form > div > .TextBoxWrapper, #Form_ConversationMessage .TextBoxWrapper, #ConversationForm .TextBoxWrapper, #Form_Comment .TextBoxWrapper, #Form_Comment .Preview {
    padding-right: 0;
}

Great it worked but i will like to change the post comment button text into post comment instead of the icon on it.
