Okay I figured out how to get it. Must have deleted something I shouldn’t of) But new question, How do you set the post page to Journal? It doesn’t show up in the drop down menu.

Hi, please read the documentation that comes with the theme, any common questions can be answered within the documentation.

Thanks. I got it. It seems I’m missing the Portfolios List choice for my Portfolio page.

Hi, Lots of good things here, but some things don’t work as expected – Here’s a few off the top of my head:

1 – How do I create a page using the template with the Single Project Ios Slider as seen here:

2 – Styles don’t work on the demo page, and I tried to load them on my site, but they don’t seem to work – I opened up the css style sheet for each style in text editor and then pasted it in the CSS box for Theme Options > Styles as it says in the Documentation, but nothing changes. I don’t care about the background images, but I want to change colors for social icons and fonts and set all the background colors.

3 – There are so many additional custom fields available, but there doesn’t seem to be a full documentation of what values to use and what they do.

4 – I added the demo xml file, but many of the pages just link to the demo page on themeforest, so I have no way of figuring out how things work (see 1 above).

5 – there are several minor changes that I want to make to specific elements, like individual colors and elements, such as the advance arrows with page numbers on the full page slider (i’d like to eliminate that) but I’m not that familiar with PHP – are there separate style sheets for each template that I can more easily hack to hide elements? I’m using a child theme, but I’m not sure if that will work to eliminate an element, or if it’s even possible with css, or if I need to mess with the PHP code…

Thanks in advance for any insight – I’m sure I will have more questions as I dig deeper…. I think this is a powerful theme with a lot of possibilities, but it’s a bit confusing since it works differently than most of the themes I have used before.

Have tried and the styles work just perfect for me on our demo site. If you use child theme then of course you don’t need to use custom CSS from theme options. The child theme’s stylesheet will overwrite the parent theme’s stylesheet.

There are descriptions for the custom fields for posts/pages.

Okay, I’ve spent some more time, and guess what? Your styles don’t show up on Firefox! Try looking at your demo site on firefox – they don’t work! They work on Safari just fine. And still, no matter what I do, when I paste the css from any of the styles in the custom css box, nothing changes. I’ve tried it as a child theme, and as the parent theme, and it just doesn’t do anything. And where exactly do you see descriptions for the custom fields? The name itself is fairly obvious, but there is no explanation of the values and no actual description. You really can’t include that in the documentation? Really? It’s too much effort? There are free themes with better documentation than this one. Your support is very disappointing so far. I’m willing to believe that I’m overlooking something, but I don’t think so. At this point, if you are unable to help me or unwilling to acknowledge that there is a problem, I would like a refund.

Hi, the styles work just perfect for us.

If you need a refund please contact Envato support here

How do i add a blog page template? Also there are few page templates missing from download file.

Hi, please read the documentation that comes with the theme, any common questions can be answered within the documentation.

I cann’t get the captions to appear in the slider gallery. I have added captions to the images but the caption does not appear.

Hi, sorry, I don’t see your buyer’s badge.

Hi again,

I figured out some of the issues from my previous post, but raised some new questions/concerns. I realize now that your theme has two new types of content: “Galleries” and “Portfolios” which are not just items to add to a page, but rather specific content items that are equivalent to a Page or Post, but behave very differently. The issue that is most confusing is that you also have page templates called “galleries” and “portfolios”, but they are NOT the same thing as “Galleries” and “Portfolios”! Very confusing! And then there’s posts with “categories” and “formats” which I understand can be used for filtering, but otherwise they further confuse things. I also realized that not all the “Portfolios” included in the demo have images attached to them, but they DO have a featured image, although nothing shows up on those pages/portfolios when clicked, so I just deleted them since I can’t learn anything from them. I realize that you did explain some of this in the documentation, but there is no overall explanation of the different items and menu types and how they work together as well as independently – that would be helpful, along with a video tutorial showing how the demo is set up! So, here are some new questions/concerns:

1 – I have tried to disable commenting on posts, but it doesn’t work. I disabled it from the Settings page for all posts, and on an individual post, but it won’t go away, so where is it in the code so I can delete all comments forever and not show “comments are closed” or whatever.

2 – I found the page/portfolio with the iosSlider, but when I use it the images are huge and I don’t get more than one on a page – I really want it to look like this: but instead it looks like this: – Do I have to manually resize the images to all have the same height? Do they also have to be small enough to have more than one on a page? If so, that’s no good – I bought this theme specifically to have a responsive horizontal scrolling capability, but the IosSlider is not really working that way – the idea is to allow a viewer to see more than one image at a time, with the second or third image showing only partial, but with the ability to scroll through them horizontally, as in your demo page “New Look. New Hart.” – I realize that those images are portrait format, but still it should work for my landscape images, so how do I make it work?

3 – Posts are behaving very erratically – I’ve tried turning off the widgets, but then there is all this blank space on the right and a blank gap at the top and a “to the top” link – it looks very awkward: As I previously requested, it would be helpful to know which css stylesheets to change to be able to effect the spacing, colors, etc., or if it’s built in to the PHP, some advice as to where those different items are located would be helpful – perhaps some kind of “tree” or sitemap for the way things work would be helpful – I know that’s a lot to ask, but it’s really hard to work with all these new options without some guidance – I know it’s a lot to ask, and this is a very flexible theme with a lot of options, but without a clearer overall picture it’s hard to figure out how to use it! It should be easy to tweak the code for various elements to change padding, spacing, fonts, remove elements, etc. But it’s not…

4 – I noticed when I added more than about 20 items on the menu, you can’t see them all in the sidebar and the bottom ones aren’t clickable. I have my home page set to a fullscreen portfolio (Gallery? Page? it’s so confusing!) so it’s not possible to scroll, but it also overlaps the navigation at the bottom. Yuck! I wish I could at least eliminate that navigation as I previously requested….

5 – I would like to change the order in which the social icons appear – I know that’s not an option, but if I new which theme file it was in, I could probably tweak it – any suggestions?

6 – back to the “new look. New Hart” demo page – any way to add some margin at the top so it’s not right at the top of the screen?

I think you have a great looking powerful theme, and I think I can make it work, but I wish the documentation was more comprehensive and there were more user-friendly theme options that would allow simple css type changes to be made without hacking the code. Please keep working on this theme – it deserves more energy – I think it could become a new standard for media rich sites! Thanks for all your time, and please respond to my previous post as well. :)

  1. Please email us your URL and we will take a look.
  2. Yes you need to manually re-size the images.
  3. We would suggest to hire a developer to help you with this modification.
  4. You’ll need to set up the page as your home page.
  5. It would be possible to do, but would require some modification by a developer.
  6. Again we would suggest to hire a developer to help you with this modification.

Thanks – I responded above to my previous post and emailed you some urls with comment problems – I follow you on all of the above, but because I am not able to get the styles to work, I can’t seem to be able to change colors of social icons (or anything else) in the custom css block. I guess I will have to manually add/change the code. Again, it would help if I knew which stylesheet affects the social icons globally – I notice they are different colors on different pages – I guess I’ll just have to try everything.

hi, I’m new to setting up themes and as much as I try I just can’t figgure out how to delete the map on the contact form!

I’ve read the documentation and there’s nothing in there other than how to set it up, I’ve tried deleting the info in the contact part of the theme options but it just resets to default.

Please could someone tell me how to get rid of the map??!

Hi, thank you for the purchasing!

Use “Full width” page template instead.

Thanks for the quick response, one more question. The site doesn’t seem to work on mobiles. It just shows the logo and the first image, no navigation menu. I’ve set the mobile naviagtion in Appearance> Menu but nothing happens. It works fine on an iPad though :-s

Please email us your URL, username and password for your site via our profile page and we will take a look.

Hi! I´m new on wordpress so I´m having some trouble installing your theme as well. Or it all works but I wonder how to get the “masonary/popup” gallery option that was in the demo, I can´t seem to find it as an option anywhere? The closest I get is “fancybox gallery” but that one is with a black background, how can I change it to white (or get the mansonary popup from the demo)?

Thanks a lot, Amanda

Hi, thank you for the purchasing!

Select “Gallery” page template.

Hi, Just a quick pre-purchase question: Is it possible to get the documentation for your theme before purchasing it? I think this would be a great theme for one of our projects, I would just like to read to documentation first to be sure.

Hi, thanks for taking an interest in the theme!

Please email us via our profile page.

We are trying to replicate the masonry-video-mixed gallery view. I cannot seem to make gallery of videos that display the video as a pop up/ lightbox.

Thanks, Cat

Hi, sorry, I don’t see your buyer’s badge.

I am working with another person who purchased the theme under their own profile. Do have to have them repost under their profile?

Yes, please repost under their profile.

thanks again for this beautiful template. With some small enhancements, it’s now running on my homepage

Cheers, Michael

Hi, great site, I like it!

This is a great theme. I would like to setup portfolio page templates with no-margin. Similar to the ‘gallery with no margins’ template, but have it work just like the portfolio items.

Thanks! Sheldon

Hi, sorry it’s not something which is included as an option.

The blog posts page is much narrower than in the demo. Deleted and reinstalled the theme, but same issue.

Hi, please email us your URL, username and password for your site via our profile page and we will take a look.

Even after I import the demo XML, the sidebar width is too narrow, as are the content areas of other pages.

Please email us your URL, username and password for your site via our profile page and we will take a look.

Hi there, I would need to invert the colours on the main menu social icons, so that they are #666666 when inactive and #000000 when hovered over. Do you know how I can do that? Many thanks.

Hi, navigate to Appearance > Theme Options > Style and add these lines of code to custom CSS block:

#site-generator .social {
color: #666;
#site-generator .social:focus,
#site-generator .social:active,
#site-generator .social:hover {
color: #000;
Hi, I’,m wondering because iosSlider and Slider gallery are not working on IE8. I now IE s%$# but some people still using it. Are you going to fix it? I think if it is not possible, could you increase an IF when IE to use Classic Gallery? :) That would be nice!! By the way, I’ve finished my site. Check it out and fell free to use it as exemple, if you like it! Sorry my bad english, I’m from Brazil…

Hi, great, really nice!

Hello, how can I show randomly the portfolio (no by data, but random)?

Hi, it would be possible to do, but would require some modification by a developer.

The Masonry (No Margins) page in the demo has a bug when the browser width is certain widths you get the images jumping around, a screenshot shows it only showing 2 images – if you then just resize the browser a little bit more it jumps to be correct, then resize a bit more and it goes to 2 columns again. Tested and happens on Chrome and IE10.

Yes so you can have multiple windows on the screen to increase productivity. You should try it sometime. Hundreds of millions of people have done this for 20+ years.

I don’t think hundreds of millions of people have done this. Looks like only you browse the Internet on small re-sized windows.

1520 pixels wide is not a small re-sized window.

how to change the dimensions of the image of the home?

Thanks for taking an interest in the theme!

You can crop your images in any graphical editor.

Sorry, I expressed myself wrong. I need to change the size of thumbnails on the main page.

When I put a picture there, it automatically resizes to a default size, right? I can change this default size?

No, you will need to crop them manually.

Great theme, thanks.

I’d like to use some of the ‘gallery’ functions for private client areas showcasing images from shoots, specifically using the ‘fancybox gallery’ style. Is it possible to hack the code so that when people click on a thumbnail a link to download the original (high res) file is put into the jquery fancybox script? If so, how would that be done?

Hi, I’m not quite sure what you mean. We would suggest to hire a developer to help you with.

Hi, really great theme, thank you for nice work! We are using portfolio page template. In sidebar menu, portfolio categories are being listed by name – that is not very convenient. How can we change it to listing by category`s ID? Such option is easily found in the code of fixed-width portfolio template (‘orderby’ => ‘name’). Thanks!

We send you our URL

Menu issue was solved, thanks!

If you haven’t already, please take a moment and rate the theme for us.
