so i cant get my email confirmation after a reservation

Hi I’m interested in your theme. I would like to understand if you support different prices for each season. For example can I set a higher price for a room during August and lower one for July? Do you support any other payment options besides paypal?

Yes the theme supports seasonal pricing – you can add as many seasonal price filters as you want, so yep you can set a different price for August and July.

I’m afraid PayPal and bank transfer are the only payment options available.

If the website is available in more than one languages using WPML, can the laguage for the confirmation emails for the booking also be customized for each client (e.g. if someone books a room through the english website, he will receive the email in english etc)?

Thanks for your interest.

Yes you can set a minimum booking period in the theme options – however it’s not possible to make guests book in weekly increments.

E.g. you could set a minimum booking period of 7 nights, but guests would still be able to book 8, 9, 10, etc nights if they wish as opposed to weekly increments e.g. 7, 14, 21 nights etc.

How are reservations accessed? Is there a tab in the WP dashboard through which I can access all reservations?

Viewing bookings is fairly straight forward, you just go to the “Bookings” section in the WP dashboard and they are all listed there for you.

When you activate the booking plugin it will automatically configure all the required pages for you so not a lot to explain in the documentation here.

I understand, I did access that documentation but I am purchasing this for a client and was hoping there would be instructions for them on how to access and process bookings after I have handed the site over so they can manage it all themselves.

To access bookings go to “Bookings” in the WordPress dashboard, you can click on the booking to view the details, or to confirm/cancel you just need to click the icon next to the booking (a tick/cross) – that’s all there is to it. If your client requires very precise instructions I’d recommend preparing these yourself – the system is very simple so it should be a quick/easy job to do this.

Yep you will need to use the booking step 1 page for multi-room bookings.

You can add a “Multi-room booking?” link on the homepage and sidebar widgets by going to “QNS Booking > General” and ticking the “Show multi-room link on booking widgets” option.

Is it possible to show the availability without making any reservation? Many guests only want to know the unblocked dates before filling the form.

Sure go to “QNS Booking > General” and tick all three options in the “Live Availability Checker” section – now when a guest opens the calendar to book a room the dates will only be selectable for dates which are available, unavailable dates are greyed out.

Is there any chance to also receive a copy of the booking confirmation when someone place the booking? Cause it looks like only client receive the booking confirmation

When a booking is placed an email is sent to the guest and also the website admin.

If you’re not receiving the email your server or email provider is most likely blocking mail sent by the PHP mail() function.

You can easily get around this problem by switching to sending mail with SMTP, to set this up go to “QNS Booking > Email”, select “Send mail by SMTP” and fill out your SMTP details below.

I figured it out – turns out you just have to have “something” in the price field or it gives an error, and when we changed the price structure it wiped out the settings we had already input. All is well now. :-) Thanks!

Yep when you switch the pricing scheme the room is automatically unpublished and you’ll need to go back in and add the price again for the new scheme.

Tried to submit a support ticket via your forum but it refuses to attach my screen capture, keep getting an error: “There was a problem uploading your file. Please try again.” the from rests and have to retype everything…..anyway

My logo text is a bit too long and so the layout is affected. Navigation is positioned incorrectly. I added custom css which works on full screen but when you go down to mobile navigation the layout is affected negatively.

Unfortunately it is on my local machine so cannot send the url.

Je souhaite acheter votre script pour créer un site de réservation d’hôtel. J’ai consulté votre demo. Afin de mieux comprendre le fonctionnement de votre script, j’aimerais vous poser quelques questions :

1/ Est-il possible de modifier le code de la devise des prix ? Peut-on proposer plusieurs devises aux clients ?

2/ Est-il possible d’enlever le nombre d’enfants lors de la réservation ? Lors de la réservation, peut-on également modifier le nom “nombre d’adultes / chambre” par le nom “nombre de personnes / chambre” ?

3/ Une fois que la chambre est choisie par le client, peut on rajouter une option du lit supplémentaire ? Dans le cas où il choisit cette option, le coût de la nuité est majoré.

4/ Quand un client s’enregistre sur le site pour réserver une chambre, es-ce que ces données sont protégées dans la base de donnée du site ?

5/ Si une autre personne s’enregistre sur le site en utilisant les mêmes informations (e-mail, téléphone, Carte Nationnale, Passport, etc.) qu’un autre client déjà enregistré, es ce que le système va l’empêcher de s’enregistrer, en lui indiquant par exemple que le compte utilisateur est déjà enregistrer ? Je vous pose cette question parce que dès que j’ai effectué cette opération. En effet, j’ai enregistré sur 2 PC différents deux clients ayant des noms différents mais le même e-mail. Et le site a accepté cette opération. Ce qui est plus étrange, c’est que les données personnelles du premier client ont été effacées et remplacées par les données du deuxième client.

6/ Est-il possible d’avoir une option “Statistics” dans les outils de gestion du site ? Par exemple: fréquence de visite du site, Chiffre d’affaire réalisé par mois ou par année via ce site, Pays d’origine des clients, etc.

Es ce qu’il est possible d’avoir une idée sur le délai de réalisation de cette configuration ?

I’ve used Google translate to read your question – sorry if I’ve misunderstood any of them:

1.) Yes you can switch to any currency – although if you’re also processing payments with PayPal you can only use PayPal support currencies listed here: https://www.paypal.com/multicurrency

Multiple currencies are not possible I’m afraid.

2.) Yes there is an option to remove the “Child” field – all text strings can be easily changed with CodeStyling Localization or WPML

3.) You can add-on optional “services” which can be any fixed cost item – this might not be ideal for adding a bed though as it wouldn’t be multiplied by the night

4.) Yes bookings are stored in the WP dashboard

5.) There is no user account system – the only thing checked when a booking is placed is the room availability – so as long as a room is available anyone can book it

6.) The booking plugin doesn’t offer this functionality I’m afraid
