Stupidest way to download demos and content, the same old designs for years now.

Should be updated with new demos of better color combinations, bigger fonts, and simpler pages.

Demo Import is the stupidest way you can ever imagine.

Could be way better than current designs.

Thanks for the feedback.

I recently released a large update which completely changes the design, page layouts, fonts, and the new demo website has different/multiple color combinations. You can also set your own completely custom color scheme in the theme options very easily.

So while I respect your feedback, I also do not understand it to be honest.

I'm sorry you're not happy with the theme, however I would like to clarify some points.

1.) Based on what you communicated to me in the item comments, the "bug" is that you cannot switch off credit card payments. However I've checked this in my own installation and can confirm it's working fine

2.) So based on the above information, your question is about general use / setup, not a bug

3.) When I asked you to open a support ticket so I could assist you, you said your support period has expired, I then asked you to extend support, however you do not want to pay for this, and at this point you decided to leave this 1 review

4.) I’m sorry that you felt the need to leave a negative review, but please understand that I do need to charge money for the products and support I provide. I think that’s fair for both of us

5.) I also provide extensive documentation free with the theme, so if you don't want to pay for my personal support services, you're welcome to work from the documentation instead

Great theme. I have no experience in creating websites but after a careful study I made everything by myself.
The theme is intuitive, simple to customize, and everything works perfectly.
I was working with the old version and after the last update I created a new multisite using the integrated translation pugin without having to buy third-party plugins.
It is a fantastic and complete theme throughout.
Punctual and excellent customer support. Nick is always able to solve any problem with patience, availability and precision.

After upgrading to the new version of the theme, the website goes down. I opened a ticket, for solving the problem the support literally said me to make a new WordPress installation, install demo contents, and copy/paste all my previous contents.

After two years of difficult customization management and some problems, I personally cannot recommend this theme at all.

I'm sorry to see that you're not happy with the theme, however let me clarify a few points.

1.) I've been constantly developing Soho Hotel and providing free updates for 8 years

2.) Around every 2 years I completely redevelop the booking system and overhaul the theme design to keep it fresh

3.) The alternative to me doing point number #2 would be to either:

i.) Just not update the booking system and design, so you'll be using an 8 year old theme

Or:

ii.) I integrate the new code and design on top of the old code and design, which in my opinion would result in a very bloated and buggy theme

4.) I understand that it requires work on your side if you want to switch to the new version, but I think it's reasonable to spend a few days working on your website once every 2 years. It's not realistic to expect a website which contains a complex booking system, online payments and multi-language features to last for years and years with zero maintenance

5.) I made it clear in the support ticket that if you do not want to switch to the new version you can continue to use the old version which you originally purchased just fine. And you can roll back your website from an automated backup in your web hosting control panel. It will be 1 click to do this.

So to summarize, no this is not a bug. You just didn't read the update notes for version 4.0 in the documentation.

I've even offered you a full refund in your support ticket, so far you have not accepted this.

The template looks great and is easy to customize. With iCal, I connected the calendar with Expedia, Airbnb, and Booking.com. The added value is undoubtedly Nick, his precious support makes this product a "must-have". Nick is very professional and polite, qualities not to be underestimated. I am happy with the purchase and recommend it to those who, like me, are looking for a booking system integrated into the website.

Besides the fact that this theme is the number 1 for owners of a small hotel there is one thing what is absolutely outstanding .... the support of Nick. All questions, adjustments or requests are taken care of with lightning speed AND solved! Absolutely the best !

This author is dodgy. They will include unnoticable bugs in your theme and you will only be able to figure out after your support has expired.

I found that /accommondation is permanently linked to custom post archive page. I just want to use one of the template as base for /accomondation

Sorry to hear you're having problems with the theme, but the issue which you mentioned in the item comments is not a bug, I can assure you of that. You just haven't configured the theme correctly. I offered to help you fix the problem if you open a support ticket, so far you have not done this. And no I do not include bugs in the theme which magically appear after your 6 month support period expires, to suggest that is frankly ridiculous.

I'm leaving 2 stars because the template actually looks like and the support is somewhat reliable, BUT when they feel like it.
However, my experience with this template was horrible, so I wouldn't recommend buying it. The template was full of bugs. from the beginning and it took them almost 2 months to fix things that I reported (keep in my mind that there are still bugs who haven't been fixed, but I just got tired and frustrated so I let them stay there for a while).
As soon as I finished configuring the template and announcing my website, I noticed something. The stripe plugin was bugged and my customers couldn't complete payment because of 3D Secure system. I opened up a ticket and Nick responded that he is aware of this bug and it will be fixed in 1 or 2 weeks. It took a month until the template got updated and my customers could finally complete a payment (In this time I lost some customers because they wouldn't trust the website, understandable).
After that "massive" update, which was about a month ago, the calendar plugin wouldn't sincronize and the template wouldn't allow you to have multiple rooms on the same page (the calendar simply allows customers to book a room even though it's already booked) so he told me to have a separated page for each room individually. Still don't know if that's fixed, for those who would want.
Then you got the seasons bug, which also took him about 1 week or more to fix, meaning that I couldn't have variable prices for different periods of time around the year.
And the last bug that I've noticed is that restrictions don't work properly. I have one restrictions that won't allow customers to only book one day of the weekend, which seems to work, meaning that they receive the message with the restriction. However, if they click book, they can continue with booking normally...
Honestly, the template might work for someone who wants something simple, like one room and who is not expecting reliable support.

Sorry to hear you're not happy with the theme, let me address the points you've brought up:

2.) However, my experience with this template was horrible, so I wouldn’t recommend buying it. The template was full of bugs: In the 3 support tickets that you've opened I've fixed all the issues you mentioned, so I'm unsure what your problem is now?

3.) from the beginning and it took them almost 2 months to fix things that I reported: This is untrue, the first support ticket you opened is dated September 3rd 2021, the issue was fixed September 21st, this is a little over 2 weeks by my calculation

4.) It took a month until the template got updated and my customers could finally complete a payment (In this time I lost some customers because they wouldn’t trust the website, understandable): Again not true, I fixed this in a little over 2 weeks

5.) For the record, iCal syncing is working fine in the latest version of the theme. You can try for yourself.

When I asked you for more information about this issue and how to replicate it you did not respond

To summarize, I'm sorry you've had some problems with the theme. I release a large update every 1 or 2 years, and the first couple of weeks after release there are bugs. This is normal with software development. However all of the issues have been fixed now and the theme and booking plugin are stable now.

If you still have issues I'm happy to help if you respond to the support ticket you opened with the information I requested.

Or if you feel the theme is not suitable for your project any more, also fine to provide you with a full refund (I already offered this to you weeks ago but you did not accept).
