1/ Unfortunately, currently Soledad theme not supports this feature.

2/ To make it, you can use this plugin

And I have some note for your site:

1/ Because your site has old data. So, you need use this plugin to rebuild all your posts thumbnail.
After installed this plugin, go to admin > Tools > Regen. Thumbnails > Click button “Regenerate All Thumbnails” and wait to done 100%

2/ You should use images for post featured images with minimum width is 1170px and minimum height is 650px to get best results. I saw on your site, you have a lot of images with small size.

3/ With your footer instagram, you should config like this.

Thanks for the notes.

However, 1/ Can I create a subscriber form, publish it as a page & link it to email option? Because at present all email options when clicked land at 404 error. It’s not looking good at all ( under the site title social button, Social count widget sidebar & footer social media buttons). Is it going to work? Or please suggest something.

2/Can I active “log In” & ‘register’ options in the theme?

3/ I have received theme update. Do I need to simply download the file upload it on the website?

1/ Yes. You can.
You can use Mailchimp shortcode to your pages.
Please see this image to know where is shortcode.
And please check our note for email social in Customize > Social Options > Email. If you want to put your email for email icon, you need fill: mailto:your_mail@host.com with your_mail@host.com is your email

2/ It’s feature of Wordpress. To allow Login and Register, please go to admin > Settings > General > Membership and check to “Anyone can register”

3/ To update Soledad theme, please read this guide

This option is already checked in.But the homepage doesn’t show any option/button/icon to log in or register?

I am having some issues …

1. The images are overflowing the post area and overlapping onto the Sidebar they don’t look nice.

2. the information on the sidebar is also hidden.

3. Footer Instagram widget is not visible

If you want to change the font in this theme. Please check options we’re provided in Customize > General Options > “Font for title” and “Font for body text”. And “Roboto” font is available in this options

Because just some fonts has supports for all font-weight.

Example:
- Font “Open Sans”, it’s supports for font-weight: 300, 400, 600. 700. 800. You can see more here
- Font “Robonto”, it’s supports for font-weight: 100, 300, 400, 500, 700, 900. You can see more here

The font you can use in Soledad theme is available in google fonts.

To do that, please do following steps:

1/ Please install this plugin for your wordpress.com site & new site

2/ Go to your wordpress.com site > admin > Tools > Export to export your data.

3/ Go to new site > admin > Tools > Import this file you got in step 2

4/ Active and install this plugin to rebuild all your posts thumbnail.
After installed this plugin, go to admin > Tools > Regen. Thumbnails > Click button “Regenerate All Thumbnails” and wait to done 100%

You can go to Appearance > Menus and create/ select / add new menu items and check to “Primary Menu”.

And to get good start with Soledad theme, I have some tips for you:

1/ You should use images for post featured images with minimum width is 1170px and minimum height is 650px to get best results. You can find a lot of beautiful images for your blog here. It’s free.

2/ You should check documentation for Soledad theme. We also have online documentation version here. It’s short and easy to understand

Sorry for bothering you again. I was just wondering, are you planning any new features with upcoming updates? If so, what is to be introduced? May we make suggestions? Like I’d like to see a style 3 as variation of style 2 for individual blog posts which displays the featured image full width (slider) or even gallery images as a slider above the content and sidebar. Would it also be possible to include thumbnail images next to the post titles in the post navigation below the content (next/previous post)?

Please apologize, but I’m in search for the “perfect” theme and Soledad is already very close!

2/ Popular posts is automatic and it is based on the ranking of the most-read posts.

3/ You can create a category like “Video” and add posts for this category. After that, let use widget: “Soledad Recent Posts” and choose filter posts by this category

Another question: Is is possible to have more than 3 Homepage Featured boxes? I’m comfortable enough to edit the PHP files. I’d need to be able to also increase the number of the box options in the Customizer (so I can see 6 of them, for example).

I do see a file called “home_boxes.php”, which I can edit this line of code: for ( $k = 1; $k < 4; $k ++ ) to be ”< 7”, but not sure about updating the Customizer.

1/ Please open /soledad/inc/modules/home_boxes.php file and in line 36, add more this code to create more than 3 Homepage Featured Boxes:

Hi there,

We did it because it’s good for you and your reader. On mobile, your screen very small. If you make it like with your desktop, center box on your slider will not enough width to díplay and your slider will break.

But if I view your Soledad demo on my mobile, it is showing correctly.

Also, how do I make the width of the slider appear like what I see on your demo. I don’t want the image to be stretched full screen across from left to right. It’s too big.

2/ I think you did not check documentation for Soledad theme. We said about it on documentation for Soledad. We have online documentation version here.

Note Important: To get best results, you should use images for your posts featured image with minimum width is 1170px and minimum height is 650px.
If you want to use Featured Slider Style 3, you need use images for your posts featured image with minimum width is 1920px and minimum height is 650px.
