Hi! We are working with SoundBoard template and we are having some problems with the calendar widget. We are trying to put it on the footer or in the left sidebar of Home but it appears cut by the top.

Hope you can help us :)

Try adding the following code into Theme Options > General > Custom CSS:

.widget_calendar {
    float: none;
    margin: 60px 0 0;

table#wp-calendar {
    margin: 0;

I bought this theme to use with If you visit the site, you’ll notice an OptinMonster popup. With their default CSS, it has started appearing offscreen. I contacted them and they said that it was a problem with the theme, which I validated by switching themes temporarily. I added custom CSS to change the float to 25% left and 20% top, and it worked. But it should work with fixed positioning and 50% top and left positioning. For some reason with your theme, it is not correctly assessing the browser size. Do you think that you can help me troubleshoot? Let me know what you will need from me . . .

What’s the plugin called? I’ll test it on my local test site….

It’s a paid plugin called OptinMonster. You can email me (I sent the same question through email support - you hopefully received it) and I’ll respond with login info if necessary . . .

Just replied to your email…

Hi, When can we have new updates which support 3.8 WordPress ?

Hey there! The theme should work fine with WordPress 3.8. Only the icons for audio, video, tour dates etc. are a bit dark. But everything should function properly.

Thanks for the quick reply :) I will upgrade the theme and WordPress then :)

Hi, I can’t seem to activate the “Comment” section for people to comment on my posts. I have activated enable comments in Settings, Discussions as well as for each old and new post. Is there enable function within the theme? Thank you.

actually nevermind. fout it :) Happy New Year!

Great! Happy New Year!

Hey, I am interested in using your template for a promotions website. Does your theme allow the admin to charge for tickets directly via paypal etc or just post links to ticketmaster, eventbrite, etc? Basically, does it charge the ticket like a shop sale or does it require and outside plug be put into the widget. thanks!

Hey kkrautsack! Thanks for your interest in Soundboard!

A payment system is not built into the theme files. But Soundboard is compatible with Woocommerce which can help you to sell anything dirctly from your site. You could for example set up a shop page to sell the tickets and link the tour dates button to that shop page.

Here is the Soundboard WooCommerce shop demo page:

And here is more info about WooCommerce:

Hey! I bought this for use on I was flipping through a couple different themes and I have to say – I leaned towards yours because of how clearly ON you are with support and communication here!

I am DELIGHTED to say that I don’t need any help! Though I was a little thrown off setting up the widgets (for some reason they weren’t configured like the live demo upon install/import) – I have things definitely where I want to be and then some. And this is my first time with wordpress!

I had a little trickiness with the background I’d like to share. First off, for some reason, selecting the background image defaulted to resizing / “medium”ing the image. Make sure it’s set to full resolution before you hit “use this image”. Also – i use a dark background image and your built-in background color setting in the theme options overrides that. HOWEVER, i was able to make the background behind the image black by pasting this in the custom CSS:

body { background-color:black; }

That should be default for the “dark” theme I think.

In the future, customizing the main areas beyond light/dark theme (i.e. using color, adjusting opacity, etc) would be great. Do you have CSS for this?

Also – in lieu of a responsive theme, should you not get to that, perhaps you could throw us some CSS code to redirect to a separate mobile theme.

Hey there! Thanks for purchasing Soundboard.

It’s great that you set up your site with Soundboard without needing any of my help, especially since it’s your fist time with WordPress!

Yeah, unfortunately the export/import file does not store widget settings.

I should probably add a little info next to the background image uploader so that people make sure to uploade the full image (not a smaller size). Good point! I’ll also take a look at the background color default setting once I start working on the next update for Soundboard.

The content-, slider-, and navi-area are using a transparent background image. The only reason for this is, that Internet Explorer 8 does not support transparent background colors. Once nobody cares about IE8 any more, I might build a color picker / transparency slider for the background color into the Theme Options Panel. If you want to change the background right now, you can find and replace that background image in the folder /images and since you are using the dark theme you need to replace 22290.png (color #222 and 90% opacity) and 22297.png (color #222 and 97% opacity).

I am finishing work on my third theme (portfolio theme) right now. Once that is done I will take some time to start working on a responsive version for Soundboard. It’s gonna be a lot of work and I’m not sure if I will run into any problems but I’ll try.

Hi! I love this theme but i have a question: is it possibile have bigger images for slider? (for ex. 955×370 px) ? Tnx for support and good work!

[I’m waiting for the next template ;) ]

Hey PogoZ! Great to hear you like the theme :)

In order to change the slider height and width, please put the following code into Theme Options > General > Custom CSS:

.nivoSlider {
        height:370px; /* Change this to your images height */

#slide-bg {
        height: 410px; /* Change this to your images height + 40px! */

#slideshow {
    width: 955px; /* Change this to your images width*/

#slide-bg {
    width: 995px; /* Change this to your images width + 40px! */

My website is and I would love to figure out how to place a banner advertisement directly to the right of my current logo at the top of the page. Could you please help me with exact code and steps on how to do this? Thanks.

Hey Enjoir3!

1. Upload the banner in Media > Add New, click Edit and copy the file URL on the right side.

2. In the file header.php, add the image in line 104 right above:

<d iv id="topnavi">
as follows (replace fileURL with the one you copied above):
<div class="banner"><img src="fileURL" /></div><div class="clear"> </div>
and remove
<div class="clear"> </div>
right above that code.

3. In Theme Options > General > Custom CSS add the following code:

.banner {
    float: right;
      margin: 30px 0 0 0;

#logo {
    float: left;
    margin: 30px 0 0 0;
    width: 450px;

Thank you so much! I have one more question. On my site I have removed the padding between the logo and the topnav bar, how do I remove the space between the slider and the blog roll and the slider from the nav bar? Pretty much I want there to be no space between the slider and all the elements above and below it. Thanks for the help once again.

In Theme Options > General > Custom CSS add the following code:

#bg-wrapper {
  margin-top: 0;

for the galleries there’s no next or back button to go to the next picture is there a fix?

It works on my demo site:

Are you maybe using a plugin that is conflicting with the lightbox that is built into the theme?

Never mind I found the problem. But now I have another question. I would like to know how could i change the dimension of the feature image in a news post. Here’s an example or actually could we make it set to show the whole image? on all my now and future post? because some the images will be square like dimension image and then some might be long as a rectangle image dimension. Thanks

In the file functions.php, around line 136, change

set_post_thumbnail_size(520, 220, true);
set_post_thumbnail_size(520, 0, false);
This will only work for newly uploaded images. You would have to install and run the “AJAX thumbnail rebuild” plugin after making those changes to change the size for existing images:

Will these theme support Layer Slider? I love the theme but need to be able to work with a layer slider.

Hey there! If you want me to test the compatibility of the slider with the theme for you, please get in touch via the user contact form on my profile page.

Hi, great looking theme, this is a pre-purchase question. It seems your theme is not mobile ready / responsive. Is it me or I am just missing something? When I visit demo from mobile I have got a standard desktop view.

Hey there! Thanks for your interest in Soundboard!

You are not missing something. Soundboard is not responsive at the moment.

Hi I want to change the color of the product category links in the product category widget.

I want to main cats to appear black and the sub cats to remain pink, which is my default site color. I want to make all the cat links bold.

I know that I have to create a CSS entry for the below classes, but I cannot seem to get the code right in order to change the color.

Any suggestions??

<div id="product_categories-2" class="widget woocommerce widget_product_categories"> <h3 class="widgettitle">Product Categories</h3> <ul class="product-categories"> <li class="cat-item cat-item-35 current-cat"> </li><li class="cat-item cat-item-45"> </li><li class="cat-item cat-item-28"> </li><li class="cat-item cat-item-27"> </li></ul> </div>

Hey there!

In the WooCommerce product categories widget, make sure to check the “Show hierarchy” checkbox and then add the following code to Theme Options > General > Custom CSS:

.product-categories .cat-item a {
    font-weight: bold;

.product-categories > li > a {
    color: #000000 !important;

thanks you are the best! I finally went with the following code to get the desired effect.

.product-categories .cat-item a {
    font-weight: bold;
    font-size: 14px;

.product-categories .children li a {
    color: #000000 !important;

You can see the effect here –

Hi There, Any idea why the home page is displaying without the grey bar and social icons on the bottom and is working on the other pages?

Thanks, Nice Them BTW!

Hey Reidd2… Thanks for purchasing Soundboard. I’m glad you like it!

Try removing that facebook widget from the home left sidebar. That might solve the problem.

I’m having a problem modifying my site using soundboard. 1.) menu bar doesn’t automate the spacing of each tab. 2.) color of the tab when cursor is on it doesn’t change to the color I want it to be 3.) photos on the news on the home page doesn’t appear as well.

Can you help me with this? Here is my site

Hi there!

1.) The current padding values for the menu tabs are as follows:

.sf-menu a {
    padding: 13px 35px;

You can enter the above code into Theme Options > General > Custom CSS and change the values to override them. The first value 13px is the padding at the top and bottom of the menu item and the second one 35px is the padding to the left and right.

2.) Looks like you’ve manually changed the background hover color of the menu item tabs in the file style.css, line 2102 to grey (#636363). I recommend you to make all changes in Theme Options Panel > General > Custom CSS, so that later you can update the theme without losing those changes.

3.) Activate the checkbox in Theme Options > Home > Preview Image for news.

Hi Redsun,

first of all: great job. It’s a pleasure to work with your theme.

However i’m having trouble with one problem: i’m unable to order the slider entries via the drag and drop box – e.g. the order i place there has no effect on the actual order of the displayed slider on the page.

Thanks in advance.

Hey there.. thanks for puchasing Soundboard! I’m glad you enjoy working with the theme :)

This is a bug that I am going to fix in the next update. I’ve already written the code for this so if you want you can get in touch via the user contact form on my profile page and I’ll send you the theme files including this fix.

Thank you so much once again for this support Red_Sun. I apologize but I have one more question. I keep trying to update my site’s favicon via the soundboard options panel, but even after uploading a file via the panel, my site’s favicon stays the same as the last one. Any idea why this could be happening? My Favicon code in the header is as follows

<!-- Favicon --> <link rel="shortcut icon" href="<?php echo of_get_option('gg_favicon'); ?>" /> <?php <code /></code>

You’re welcome! Have you already tried clearing the cache?

Yes. I’ve tried clearing all my caching plugins as well. Also, the favicon doesn’t show up on subsequent post pages, only the home page, which is still the wrong favicon not uploaded via the panel.

Can you get in touch and send me link and login info please so that I can take a look?

Hello! Is it possible to add 2 more languages to this site?

Hello! One more question. I Bought this theme and now i am trying to add the plugin woocommerce, is there a description how to do that somewere?

With greetings Costello_F

Hey there!

1.) You would have to install a translation plugin in order to add more languages to the site.

2.) Yes, the documentation includes instructions on how to set up the shop page: More detailed instructions here:

Hello, Firstly – great theme, I’m loving it. But I am yet another person with a background problem hehe. I have an image that blends down to a solid grey colour so the end affect is seamless. However I can’t get the background colour to be anything but white. I am on v3.06 and picking the background colour under the Style menu just over-rides the whole background to the one colour (as the info windows said) I also tried adding the code below to the Custom CSS option but that didn’t work either (it was still white) #bg-image { background-color: #E8E8E8; }

I have done this before on another theme so I think surely there must be a way to do it. Help would be much appreciated :) Thanks Steve

I figured it out! Sorry I put in the custom CSS
html { background-color: #E8E8E8; }
and that worked! :D

Oh cool, you made it work! Glad you like the theme, babysteve :)

Hi Gerda, Mi issue is about those two widgets: Soundboard-Gallery ( Display images from your Gallery ) and Soundboard-Images ( Display your latest images ). They are the same… And they are doing absolutely the same thing, they display the galleries feature images. It suposed to be like this or it’s a little bug? At least Soudbord-Images is not ment to show Images from a specific Gallery ( wich we can define in widget )? Because is not, and it would be great if it will… We can show something like Latest Photos from a specific Gallery ( like Soundboard-Flickr for example ) Thank you.

Yes indeed, they are not the same. I have reinstaled the theme, it was on test, and everything works fine now. Thank you very much, anyway!

But now the question is, can I make the images from Soundboard Images Widget smaller than 100×100 ( I think 60×60 conform 960 grid ) in order to have 3 columns of pics?

Put the following code into Theme Options > General > Custom CSS:

.gallery-widget .gallery_item {
    height: 60px;
    width: 60px;

And my second issue is for the Slider. My question is, if, how and where can I change the speed, in order to be a little faster than it is?

You can change the slider speed in the file js/scripts.js, line 67 and 68.

It works, thank you!
