Hello, I have an issue with the breadcrumbs on the portfolio single pages:
On the porfolio entries of the 1st porfolio category, everything works great.
But on the 2nd category entries show the breadcrumbs wrong: they shwo home->Portfolio 1-> Entry name, instead of showing porfolio 2 title and url.
I traced the output to line 195 of spacing/functions.php :
$parent_url = $of_option[‘st_recent_work_url’];
where I guess it doesn’t get the correct parent for the entry (the porfolio category itself on the page where there is the list of the portfolio entries diplays correctly. The issue is only when going to the single page of the 2nd category portfolio entries.
Any help with that?
I’m sorry but I’m a bit lost. I cannot see any “Portfolio 1” item in your breadcrumbs. Am I missing something?
Hope this clears things up.
I understand now. Can you please send me your WP login information through my Profile page so I can debug it for you?
I can understand if this is not a support question for here but thought I would give it a go. On this page: http://testing.triciabrennan.com/events/ any idea why the orange heading reads the full path url rather than the usual page heading? I guess its a plugin thing/issue for the events calendar but was hoping you might be able to point me in a direction to look.
Many thanks in advance
That’s truly odd. Can you please send me your WP login information through my Profile Page so I can take a closer look at the issue?
i bougth the “Spacing” Theme and unfortunatelly i have problems with the responsive design.
I tried to look after my webpage www.pleyma.de via iphone and ipad – and on both devices the “menue selection” doesnt give me an option i could select
is there an option issue? I already activated the Theme Responsiveness.
thx and best regards
Hello there: Issue fixed.. in order to have a menue when select the option-bar u have to advice a “localisation” in Design -> Menues -> Location – best regards Thassilo
I’m really glad you have figured it out yourself!
Impressive, cool . Best wishes to you
Thank you once again for the kind words, I really appreciate it.
How can i put text into the first empty field in the “navi-select” menu?
Something like “Navigation” between the <content> labels must be there.
Thanks for your answer!
I’m not quiet sure what you mean. Could you please be more descriptive or/and attach a screenshot?
Have a look here: http://www.memberslounge.com
when it’s responsive, there is no definition of the menu like “Navigation or Menu”.. only white space! Do you know what to do?
Please open your functions.php file and change this part:
or anything else you only want.
I just bought your theme and I have a problem.
In the homepage settings of theme options, there are no blocks to move around to set up the homepage. I’m stuck. What can I do ?
Thanks in advance
Also, the footer is not working.
Nevermind, I used Wordpress Reset to set it back up. Sorry !
In the Portfolio page, under Image Gallery, “Add New Image” button stopped working when I updated to the latest version of Wordpress. I need to add multiple images and I can’t anymore. Please advise.
That shouldn’t happen. What exact WP version did you update from and to?
I have not received a message from you. Could you please resend it to “email@example.com”?
thanks for your help, always on time.Great!
You are very welcome Tatiana!
Do you have more detailed instructions about how to update?
What do I have to copy exactly?
Just redownload the theme files from ThemeForest and upload them to your host/server replacing the old ones (via an FTP client like FileZilla using your FTP login information that can be found in your host panel).
Thanks for your help. I did this upgrade because I am having problems with my Portfolio pages on www.pinnati.com. The update didn’t solve this.
On my hompeage Portfolios are visible, when clicking on the link I get a 404 error. The same when I’m edting this page and want to preview this.
Can you give a hint? Thankx a lot.
Just asking you seems enough to solve the problem. For any reason, portfolio pages are working again now…
It could be a permalink issue. Next time please visit the Settings / Permalinks menu and change them back to default then test your portfoli site again. But I’m glad you got it solved.
since a few days the slider takes a lot of time to load! why? thx
Can I see your website URL? Have you installed any plugins recently?
hi! the url is: http://www.snabshod.com/site/ i’ve installed contact form 7. it worked some days before without problems!
Can you please deactivate the animation border (Theme Options / Header menu) and see if it helps?
It works! Wow! Why is it a problem now?
it was just a lucky moment. still isn’t working well… . the slider in the live preview has the same porblem. caused by the wp-update?
Thank you for pointing this out, there was few graphics missing on the preview site that caused a longer load period. As for your issue – so it started working after deactivating that option and then suddenly stopped again? And you did completely nothing during that time?
I have a problem with the Blog (Classic).
It shows 2 times how many comments are posted.
On the Default Blog everything works fine.
I hope you can help me. Thx!

I translated it by myself. Only if you want to fix it in you future work.
Everything else works fine and I’m really happy with this nice theme.
I’m really glad to hear you like the theme.
As for the issue, it’s truly odd. Can you please send me your WP login information so I can take a closer look at the issue?
I’ve been using Spacing for over a year now and love it. Thanks!
I’m having one small issue. The uploaded Logo Image for the header always seems to stretch to 150% of its normal size making it seem soft and jagged. How can I fix this?
Thank you for the kind words, I truly appreciate it.
I can see that your logo image is being displayed in it’s original size. What browser do you use? Can you provide a screenshot?
Yep. The problem was in Firefox. The browser was zoomed in. It looks fine in other browsers. I’m so sorry I couldn’t figure that out myself. I’m not a web professional (obviously). Thanks for the quick reply.
I’m glad you got it sorted.
Just a couple of problems.
I seem to be missing a sidebar on my theme. I’ve chose the right template but it’s still missing.
Also I’ve got version 1.0 of the Spacing theme, where can I find a new updated version?
1. Can I see the specific page URL, please?
2. Just redownload the theme files from ThemeForest and upload them to your server/host replacing the old ones.
It’s on a local MAMP server at the moment so I haven’t got a specific URL.
I’ve tried downloading the theme again but Wordpress says it fails to install. I’ve tried installing it manually but it looks like all the CSS is stripped back.
Regarding the CSS issue, please follow this guide:
If it still doesn’t work then it’s something with your local setup and I’m pretty sure that all will be fixed if you do it on a server.
Is there a way to add the page numbers on the homepage if I enable “Blog” under “Content Blocks Manager”?
They should be paginated by default. How are they displayed on your website? Without a limit or there is just no pagination area?
Hi, there is pagination on the Blog page but if I drag the “Blog” box under Content Blocks Manager, there isn’t any. For ex: if I want my blog to appear under a slider on my homepage.
I understand. Can you please drop me your WP login information through my Profile Page contact form so I can further investigate?
I’ve just replied it.
Thank you! It’s working perfectly now!
You are very welcome, I’m really glad I could help!
Hi there, i think the admin panel has a bug… i cant define any size of types or arrange the homepage blocks. I had the error since i searched & replaced some urls…
Do you have any ideas how i can fix this problem?
Please try using the “Options Reset” button. If it doesn’t help, please drop me your WP login information privately through my Profile Page and I’ll debug it for you.
where can i find this option? Regards, Sebastian
It’s at the bottom left side of the Theme Options panel.
Can you have a look?
Sure. As I said before, just drop me your WP login information via the contact form located on my Profile Page.
Could I ask you to remind me how to install update for the site? I downloaded new zip file. And I forgot what shell I do next? Reinstall it from wordpress or update files on the server? I will appreciate little help.
You may either reinstall it from Wordpress or just upload the files into your server (via FTP client) replacing the old ones.
All the best,
I purchased the Spacing theme, but having trouble with a couple items.
I cannot get the mobile menu to work. It just shows up with “Select Page” and no pages to select below? I saw a previous issue with this on the board, but I didn’t understand the solution provided. Is there any way to turn off the responsive design all together?
I am trying to have video post show up directly on the page in a direct lightbox, but when the option is selected inside of the portfolio item, when clicked the link just brings up VIMEO. Any ideas as to a solution for this?
Thanks in advance.
1. Just visit the Appearance / Menus tab and assign your customly created menu to “Navigation”
I’m using WP 3.7.1 so slightly different menu section but still no menu appears on the responsive site. Seems to uncheck after clicking “Save Menu”. See here for both issues: shaneannas.com
It unchecks because your theme directory URL is:
While it should be:
There may occur many issues because of that. To avoid them, please move your “spacing” folder up, so it’s directly in the /themes/ directory.
I am having an issue with the blog. first, I am unable to use a blog oriented sidebar with archives, recent posts, etc. It only able to display the side bar from the contact page. Second, I can’t figure out a way to only show a summary of the blog post on the blog page where one would click to continue reading a specific post if they wanted to see more. It is showing the entire blog entry for every entry on the page. here is the blog: www.denovostudio.com/blog Thank you for your help!
1. Is your Blog page selected as the “Posts Page” in the settings / reading menu?
2. Just use the WordPress More Tag:
Thank you for the read more thing. Never saw that before! The blog page is selected, but no matter what side bar i select, it still shows the contact page sidebar.
only the DEFAULT side bar is able to be selected. Not the ARCHIVE sidebar for blogs
Oh, I misunderstood your first post, my apologise. In this case I’m really sorry but the Archives sidebar is reserved just for the archives page. You will need to duplicate your widgets in another, selectable sidebar.
Sorry, my mistake. The BLOG sidebar that I created in the widgets menu does not show up as a selection when accession the blog page. Is there something that I need to activate in order to be able to select that specific sidebar?
Can you please drop me your WP login information on firstname.lastname@example.org so I can debug it for you?
Still have a big problem.
If a blogpost has more than 13 comments (with trackbacks/pingbacks) the next ones are not visible (only in the backend)!
It’s a really big problem.
It’s definitly a problem from the theme spacing. If I activate the standard-theme then all comments are visible.
Please open the /spacing/comments.php file and edit this part:
I’m really glad.
