Hi DailyDesignNotes. Thank you very much for your support!

Hi there, GREAT template, just can’t find the correct info to setup mailchimp sign up form. Documentation a bit vague – I have an API mailchimp key, but with previous templates, I used php to setup mailchimp. Do I have to create new php forms or are there an easier way already build in this template. Please advice. Thanks a million. Kind regards, MJG.

Thank you very much for purchasing this template. Below is the procedure to setup the subscription form for MailChimp.

  1. At, sign in using your mailchimp account.
  2. After signing in, click “Lists” in the navigation bar.
  3. Click the “Design Signup Forms” button on the left sidebar.
  4. In the “Create Forms” page, click the “Share it” tab right above the form.
  5. Click the “Create HTML code for a small subscribe form” button.
  6. Below the “copy/paste into your site” section, you will find the html code for the newsletter subscription form. Copy this code to any text editor.
  7. Add the “action”, “method” and “name” attributes to the “form” tag in the spotlight template according to the code in Step 6.
  8. Add the “name” attribute for the text field and the submit button in the spotlight template according to the code in Step 6.

The subscription form should work after the above procedure. If you have further questions, please feel free to let me know.

Thank you very much!

is it possible to change the countdown text to Spanish?

Hi ideas24,

Thank you very much for your question. Yes, that’s possible. After downloading the template,

  1. Go to this page and download the file “jquery.countdown-es.js” to the “js” folder in the package.
  2. Add this line of code <script src="js/jquery.countdown-es.js"></script> before the end of the “body” tag.

The countdown text should be displayed in Spanish after the above procedure. If you have further questions, please feel free to let me know.

Thank you very much!

Hello, as of a couple days ago, the twitter api has changed and the tweet code no longer works. Can you provide a fix for this?

Thank you

Hi. Thank you for purchasing this template and letting me know about the changes. I am now looking for solutions to fix the twitter feed widget. An updated version will be released when this problem is solved. Thank you very much.

Hi. Thank you for letting me know about Twitter’s API changes. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a solution that can be integrated easily with the template. As a result, the Twitter feed functionality has to be removed and is no longer supported in the latest version of this template.

Is this compatible with wordpress?

Hi. I’ve sent you an email on this. You can refer to the email for details.

Hi, I’ve been running this site for 3 months now and all of a sudden the countdown disappeared. It works fine on all browsers locally, but when installed on a server the countdown disappears. I’ve tried it on 2 different servers, both linux apache. Can’t figure it out, any ideas? Your assistance would be much appreciated. Contact me and I’ll send you links. Thx

I can’t install to wordpress its giving me an error saying:

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme install failed

Hi. Thank you for using the template.

This is an HTML template and not a WordPress theme. To use the template, you just need unzip the package, change the settings according to the manual and upload the unzipped files to your server.
