Do you use foundation CSS Framework or Bootstrap ?
It`s a combination of Skeleton and my personal foundation.
Do you also have a wordpress version ?
Sure. It is available at this page https://themeforest.net/item/stag-portfolio-theme-for-freelancers-and-agencies/13654495
congratulations for your elegant template. I have a question : when I click on Projects > portfolio, I land on a page that display ALL photos contained in the data base. Is it possible to set the template in order to begin with one of your categories (for example : FOOD) instead of ALL ?
I noticed in your comment that you`re mentioning about a database. Are we speaking about the HTML template or the WordPress version of the Stag item?
Thank you for answering me so quick. I was speaking about the HTML template. But perhaps I didn’t use a correct expression : By “data base”, I was meaning “all the thumbnails contained in all the directories”.
Since my current web site contains a huge amount of photos, I’d want to be sure that one visitor could activate the “FOOD” category at first (to take an example) when clicking on Projects > Portfolio. I’m afraid that activating the “ALL” category at first, could slow down the display.
You`re right. It`s important to think at user experience when building your website.
You can set a different filter than All by going to stag/assets/js/custom-isotope-portfolio.js and under:
where .22 is the code you use for your Food category.
Let me know how it goes!
Thank you very much for this information. As soon as I purchase your template and work on the building of the website, I inform you about the process.
They are great. Good luck
Hey Delicious! Nice theme. This is the second theme I’ve purchased from you and it looks great! The set up seems slightly different than the other theme I purchased. There doesn’t seem to be an index.html file. I am choosing the ‘revolution slider’ style and I would like to change the name of the file ‘homepage-revolution-slider.html’ to index.html. Can I just change the name? Do I need to change the name in other files as well?
I think what I’m asking is, “Can I do a search, find & replace?”
With WordPress, words like .html should not be part of the vocabulary. You could duplicate the slider and rename it or just rename the current slider.
Honestly, I’m trying to figure out what you’re trying to do so if you could help me out with more information, that would be great!
Hi DT! I should have explained this better. I am not using the Wordpress version of Stag. I am using the HTML version. I have figured out that I can rename ‘homepage-revolution-slider.html’ to index.html. Then I did a search, find & replace of all links called “‘homepage-revolution-slider.html” and changed them to index.html. It worked. Now when you go to the website the homepage address is not homepage-revolution-slider.html but rather index.html like most websites. It was pretty easy to do. I was just concerned that by changing the name it would mess up links. No worries!
Can you tell me a bit about the ‘img class=”is-svg”? I am trying to swap out the .svg logo for a .png logo. It works everywhere except on the about-me.html page. When I scroll down then back up there is a broken link. I have a feeling this class is the root of my problem…
Glad to hear that the find and replace thing worked well.
Hope that helps!
I’m having troubles with the search function … Do you have a tutorial for that?
The search functionality is actually one of WordPress’ culprits. To enhance it, use a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/relevanssi/ – hope it helps!
I was hopping to have this functionality in the html product – one of the main reasons I bought this template; I don’t want to use WP.
Except the solution mentioned above, you have any other solution?
Unfortunately, an HTML template doesn’t come up with functionalities like this one. They should be backed up by a database and a simple HTML template is just a static site.
Hi, Delicious! I am trying to adjust the contact page. I am using the html version of the template. On the left hand side of the contact page, there is a box with the contact info. I can’t seem to get the email link (firstname.lastname@example.org) to work. I believe the code is correct, but it is not working. Is this a Wordpress feature only?
I also can’t figure out how to make the Google map on the right hand side to work. Again, Word Press only?
Thanks for reaching out.
Truth be told, working with WordPress it would’ve been so much easier for you!
If you could share with me a link to your website, I would appreciate it!
This way I can help you out with ease!
Thanks for the quick response! I sent you an email with the links.
