Hi there, Really nice template, well done. I’m looking into it but I can’t find a pricing table and it is really important for my project. is it possible to get it added? If yes, how much would that cost me?

Hi There,

Pricing table is unfortunately not built into the Sterling template at this time.

You might be interested in checking out CodeCanyon for a variety of Pricing Tables at very affordable price:

Hi+ I purchased the Sterling HTML5 Template a couple of weeks ago and it is everything they said it would be! I’ve had a few issues with the contact forms and the assistance/guidance has been FANTASTIC! I removed a line of code not realizing that is actually called some Ajax script. I contacted the help desk and they ended up spending several hours looking at what I had done and figuring out how to fix it. Then, they actually fixed it! When things were running properly again they provided me with a detailed explanation as to what I had done and what they did to fix my issue – very impressive since they did not get any extra money from me for the tech support! I will most definitely look for all themes done by this author because of the stellar assistance/guidance I received… Thank you for creating and maintaining such a good theme! :)

Thanks so much for your kind words my friend! We’re so glad you’ve enjoyed your experience with us.

Thank you so much for letting us serve you.

Cheers :)

How / where do I actually use or apply the different banner overlay styles that are in their own image folder? The live preview shows something that says ‘8 nice banner styles’ or something like that, but I never realized til I seen these cool images just now what that meant. I really want to use the Sunburst one!! Where do these go??

Thanks! :)

Sure thing my friend.

The overlay images can be found in: /images/banner-overlays

I have to say, this is a fantastic template! Thank you so much for making my life (and by the sound of it, many other’s lives) easier. The quality is outstanding and you seem really dedicated to creating amazing templates. I will be closely following your new releases, and I will definitely purchase more of your items in the future. Keep up the great work!

Anthony :) (one very satisfied customer)

Thanks so much Anthony! This means the absolute world to us. You’re an absolute rock star my friend!!

Hi there.

I’m having trouble visualizing what the home page will look like once I’ve customized it. I’ll have Home, About, Services, Resources, Blog, Contact, and (possibly later) Testimonials. Will the About, Services, Resources, Contact, and Testimonials pages appear on the top menu bar?

Thanks! Love the template.

Hi There,

Thanks so much for your Sterling interest my friend.

Yes the pages you’ve listed will replace the items currently in the menu of the Sterling online demo site. (ie. Home, Pages, Features, Colors, etc…)

Just a little side note…this is the HTML version of Sterling and not Wordpress Theme version of Sterling. No issues at all but just want to make sure you’re aware of this before purchasing. Sometimes customers purchase HTML version when meant to purchase Wordpress version.

Cheers my friend :)

Hello, This is a really nice theme. I am interested in purchasing it. Can you please let me know if the blue in the banner and footer is an imag that can be changed?

Thank you.

Thanks so much for your kind words my friend.

Yes the Blue in the Banner and Footer are set primarily via CSS and can be easily changed.

Any additional questions please just give us a shout. We’re here to help.

Cheers :)

AWESOME theme – and terrific customer service. I had a major URL issue. Turns out, by accident, I added a z-index attribute in the CSS, which broke my slider. Pilot error, totally my fault. But the guys at TrueThemes helped me, responded immediately and went into troubleshooting mode.

Purchase from these guys – you will NOT be disappointed THANKS !

Thank you so very much for your feedback my friend. So happy that everything is working nicely for you.

Cheers :)

hi! I have some problems in making the theme responsive. To be more precise, when I resize the browser window down to the mobile size, the navigation bar disappears instead of becoming a drop-down menu. Could you give me some hints? Please consider that in my implementation scenario, I already included the /css/_style.css, /css/_mobile.css, /css/primary-blue.css and jquery files. Thanks you in advance!

further analysis highlights that the problem is that the function to generate the dropdown contained in the custom_main.js file, does not fire.

Thanks so much for the details my friend.

Please kindly submit all of these details as a ticket on our secure HelpDesk so that our support manager and lead developer can gladly assist you further.

I like this theme!!. Could you please update your HTML5 Sterling template? The JQuery slider is not working on my page, and I think on your website too.

Yes sure thing my friend.

We’ve just written a KnowledgeBase Article outlining full details for this modification (no worries, it’s a super easy modification)

Hope this is helpful.

Cheers :)

Aaah thanks so much TrueThemes!.. You guys rockss!

You’re most welcome my friend!

Not sure why I’m compelled to tell you this but from some reason I reckon you can really benefit from this.

If you work with clients/colleagues/friends that are interested in web related products (website templates, wordpress themes, wordpress plugins, etc) I would highly encourage you to join the Affiliate Program right here on ThemeForest.

It’s 100% free and requires basically no action on your end. You can begin earning 30% of sales of products which you’ve never even created.

You can learn all the details of the Affiliate Program on ThemeForest here:

Here’s a quick overview how it all works:

You will simply use your envato username to add a custom referrer parameter at the end of any product URL. This is valid for every single product sold across all of the [8] Envato Marketplaces.

For example, lets say you decide that you want to earn a few extra bucks so you decide to link to our TrueThemes (20,000+ sales) Karma Wordpress Theme (perhaps linking to it from your personal blog or somewhere similar?

Well first things first….you can hit us up at anytime for some custom banners and we will gladly create these for you. They’ll be super sexy and you’ll be earning affiliate income like an absolute champion.

The banner image(s) would be a click-able link that would point to:

...notice the ?ref=naiscience added at the end of the URL.

This extra string tells Envato that your account has sent that particular user the site, and if they decide to purchase the $55 theme you can bank on 30% of that sale for doing really a whole lot of nothing.

Sorry for the incredibly long post my friend. But hopefully it’s helped in at least a very tiny way.

Cheers :)

Pre-Sales Question:

Hello, I am interested in this theme. Since I am a one-man-shop business owner and I won’t have time to keep constantly updating the wordpress site/plugins/theme and so on… I was thinking that the static HTML5 may be the best option for me, for now. My question is that if I purchase this theme what software will be the easiest for me to modify the theme to make my site? Is there a website builder or software that can help me so that I don’t have to pay a ton of money to have someone do it for me? Thanks.

Hi There,

Thank you so very much for your interest in the Sterling theme.

We highly recommend the Wordpress version over the HTML version since Wordpress is “point and click” and you will not need to touch a single line of code.

The HTML version of the theme does not come with a website builder and so you will need to be familiar with writing HTML+CSS code.

Please note that even if you choose not to update your Wordpress and/or Plugins, your website will still run very nicely.

Please let us know if there’s anything else at all we can do to assist.

Thanks so much

Cheers :)

Thank you for the reply… I was only considering html static vs wordpress simply because I was concerned about security and hacking. I previously had a theme from themeforest named (metro) that had bad coding and because of that it kept getting hacked with i-frames installs. I had a nice security plugin and good passwords and kept minimum plugins and everything up to date and it still got hacked 4 times.

1) What framework does your Sterling Wordpress use?

2) Does it come with a child theme?

3) I would rather use the wordpress version but just don’t want many problems with security or have to pay expensive managed wordpress hosting.

Thanks in advance for your detailed and prompt support. That says a lot!

You’re very welcome Troy.

In response to your questions:

1) Sterling is built on an in-house framework. We worked closely with a member of the Wordpress Core development team and invested over $3k for a full security and optimization audit/implementation.

2) Yes Sterling comes with a Child Theme.

3) We’ve not run into any major security flaws with the theme so we’re very confident you’ll be good to go right out of the box.

We’ve got a great working relationship with Arvixe Web Hosting. They have rock-solid servers at a really good price:

Anything else at all we can do to assist please just say the word.

Got to say that this is an excellent template and the support from the helpdesk is simply brilliant!

Keep it up guys!

Thanks so much my friend! It’s an absolute pleasure working you. You rock!!

Cheers :)

Could you kindly address these questions?

1) When a page is printed using the Sterling WP theme, all of the top menus are printed as plain text. This is a problem as it causes clutter. Can the menus be set so that they never print?

2) I use a right sidebar on all pages except for the Home page. What can I do to hide it so that it is not printed?

3) Same for the footer. I never want it printed.

4) Is the theme compatible with WordPress 3.8?

Hi There,

Thanks so much for your interest in the Sterling theme.

As per your questions:

1 + 2 + 3): Sterling does not currently have defined styling for print however these custom styles can be added very easily to the website and help to customize your print output.

Here’s a sample of some CSS code that would hide the items you’ve mentioned when printing:

For example:
@media print {
nav, .sidebar, footer {
display: none;
} /* END print styling */

4) Yes. Sterling is Wordpress 3.8 compatible.

Thanks so much

Cheers :)

I purchased the HTML version and would like to display it in the “Boxed” instead of “Wide”.  I see the Wordpress has the ability, is there a code or CSS for HTML?

Hi There,

Apologies my friend but the HTML version of Sterling does not currently support a boxed layout feature.

Great theme, I have enjoyed using it for a client’s project. I’ve put in some time but due to my lack of knowledge in js I was curious if it’s even possible to close the accordion by clicking the ‘current’ header?

Any help would be appreciated and I can provide a link to my test site if you need.

Hi There,

Apologies but this functionality is currently not built into the default javascript.

Hi I love this theme. The Youtube in pretty box seems to be broken (4 column gallery html) on my iphone. The vimeo opens nice.

Hi :)

I’ve upgraded the jQuery lib. and now the mobile navigation (for phones) does not display anymore. I would like using the new jQuery lib. because it speeds up the image slider I use.

Some javascript not compatible? Could you please help?

as good as always;

Hello there! I’ve set the jquery slider to autoplay however now when I click to play the vimeo video, the slider continues moving. How can I make the slider pause when a video is playing? Hopefully you can help. Thanks!

Hello there

The only way to stop the Slider when a Video is playing, is to set the Pause on Hover. More details outlined in the following KnowledgeBase Tutorial: (see last option)

Hope this helps.

Where did the Wordpress version of this Sterling theme go? It seems to have been deleted? Why?

(Answer provided via HelpDesk)

Thanks, yes, the update took it down during the exact time I had checked for an update, and then it came back! Thank you! A+ template
