Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we have a dedicated support site here :
http://pexetothemes.com/support/
If you have any support questions, can you please use our support site to post your questions – we will do our best to assist :)

Addind “READ MORE” into a blog post doesnt work. When I click publish it goes to a 404 error page. I can edit/publish just fine if I don’t use the “READ MORE” insert. Wondering what’s wrong.

Tried updating theme to latest version…nope Tried disabling all plugins and updating the post…nope

Any ideas? Have other users experienced this issue? It’s like there’s an incompatibility between your theme and Wordpress for the read more item somehow.

Just extended my support by purchasing another 6 months, but it still doesn’t let me submit a ticket – in your support system it says my support has expired…. How do I re-enable this?

Hi Travis

Thanks for your reply and I’m sorry to hear that.

In our system your support still shows as expired (on march, 1st, 2016), but I can see here at envato that you do have an active support account. I’m going to send this to our dev team so they can check it out. In the meantime, please kindly reach out to us via pexetohelp at gmail.com

Thanks!

Kind Regards,
-Roch

Thanks I will send you an email now

Having lots of issues with Visual Composer in your theme – changes aren’t being saved, some elements aren’t opening. Please update your theme to the latest version, thanks.

Hi there,

Although Story supports Visual Composer, the theme doesn’t come with Visual Composer – it comes with its own content builder by default. So, if you are using Visual Composer as a builder, I would suggest tracing how the plugin was obtained (whether it came with another theme or it was installed separately), so you can download and install the latest update and hopefully have those issues resolved. Also, if updating the plugin doesn’t resolve your issues, please feel free to open a ticket/bug report on our support site where our team will assist you. Thanks!

Hi,

In Fullscreen Slider i added mp4 video background file and id doesn’t work on Internet exproler and mozilla web browsers (shows grey background, not a video). The mp4 wideo backkroud works correctly only at Google Chrom web browser.

Help my with that problem please.

Problem solved :)

Hi Martin!

That’s great, I’m glad to hear that it’s working fine now.

Thanks

Hi, is the current version of Story compatible with WordPress 4.9.1? Is it save to update? Thanks, Ingrid

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out!

Sure, it’s totally safe to update. We recommend you running a full backup just to be on the safe side, but the theme itself should work fine.

Thanks!

-Roch

Does the theme support video posts?

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out!

We have no restrictions regarding video content, so you can add it from a video hosting service (such as youtube or vimeo) as you would in any other WordPress site.

Thanks!

Hi, I am very interested in this theme and have a couple of questions:

1. Can I change the page title and background image in the header area for each portfolio item? For example on this page: http://pexetothemes.com/demos/story_wp/portfolio/sound-essential/

I would want to use the title of the portfolio item or category name and a different background image for different portfolio categories. In the demo it uses the same blue skyline background and “GALLERY SHARP MODERN CLEAR” page title for every portfolio item.

2. Can I add images to a portfolio item in addition to using the slider? So, keep the slider but also place images elsewhere on the portfolio item page.

Thanks!

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out

My name is Roch and I’m going to help you with your presales questions :)

1) We can do that via CSS. The problem is that we can’t set that for a category, we can do that for particular items though (by their ID)

2) You can add them in the content section if you want, but they would be very small (as the content section in only in the left sidebar). You could also change the portfolio item style (from slider to full width, for exampel) so you can add a slider and images as you would in a regular post.

Thanks!

Kind Regards,
-Roch

I have just purchased this on good advice, and really like the demo’s I have seen. I am not new to Wordpress, but this is my first self-hosted site.

I am hoping to set up a Photography portfolio. There are a few things I have in mind which I am sure Story supports;

  • Currently I have managed to get a strange header into the Home page. This is fine, except I can’t UNDO that header.
  • I would like to review a basic walkthrough of how to set up a Gallery (with/without Lightbox). Story’s gallery support was a major factor in the purchase (over using Envira).
  • Based on the above, I would like to use a Gallery (or similar) on a portfolio page, that has anywhere from 8-12 images. I would like each of those images linked to a specific Gallery page. For example, click on a Macro image to be taken to the macro gallery page.

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, but I’m really looking to get started on the right foot. Once I’m going I’m sure it will make a lot more sense.

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out, and welcome aboard!

We have a dedicated support system where all the Pexeto items support is handled, so can you please use our support system here: http://pexetothemes.com/support/

to post your support questions. Thank you :)

But just to help you out in the meantime, regarding the homepage header you could just delete the page you’ve created and created a new one. As for the gallery, you could check our docs: http://pexetothemes.com/docs/story/#quick_gallery

As for the portfolio page, we can help you with that via support as it looks like this one is more elaborated.

Thanks!

Since the latest Wordpress update my site using this theme gives an error: Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, boolean given in /home/ekotours.nl/public_html/wijngoedkranenburg/wp-content/themes/thestory/functions.php on line 82

I have disabled all plugins through the database and the site kind of works again, except for this error and the admin area also gives an error.

This happened all by itself through an automatic update of the Wordpress core.

Hi, I’m trying to have the full with slider in the portfolio page but there is no option for multiple images upload. How should I do it? Thanks.

Hi!

Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, you can’t have two page templates at the same time, so once you select a portfolio gallery you won’t have the full-width slider option anymore.

If you want to use a quick gallery this may be possible, but we need to investigate this via support.

Please kindly send a message here in case you need any assistance: http://pexetothemes.com/support/

Thanks!
