Dear Striking Team,
i am using this theme for years now. For me the best theme team in 2012.
Merry Christmas & a happy new year.
Thank you for your kind words. We are rewarding all our faithful users with another really massive update shortly, and hope you enjoy the many new features and abilities.
I’ve been using Striking now for nearly three months on my site at http://www.sippclub.com. I constantly get feedback from my customers that the site is really clean, clear, easy to use and simple to navigate. That’s due in the main not just because it’s incredibly well written, with lots of very useful and clever features, but because the support team behind the theme are fantastic. I’ve asked a number of questions over the last few weeks, and each of them have been solved quickly and efficiently, with very good quality communication. I cannot commend the team behind Striking highly enough. Without doubt, it’s been my best purchase of 2012.
We recall well your questions! Thank you for your kind words and best of luck with your site and business.
I have purchased several copies and deploy a few sites using Striking. Recently, I am using Striking with Event Espresso on a project but the ES calendar cannot show up properly on sidebar. While using a raw to bound the short code, the calendar can show up properly on page or post. Please advise how we can trouble shoot the problem.
Thank you for your continuing use and support of Striking.
Per our guidelines noted in the FAQ above, plus in the theme description please go to our support forum for help on this matter.
I do believe we have some threads in the 3rd party plugin section in respect of that plugin.
When you do post on the forum, please indicate the Striking version and WP version you are using. Also, shortly an update for Striking will go active, and it has an updated jquery and quicksand scripts, which may make a difference. I suggest updating, and testing again, and including that info in your post, if it is still necessary.
Does this theme works with UberMenu? http://codecanyon.net/item/ubermenu-wordpress-mega-menu-plugin/154703?sso
Can you cross post at the forum ( I think you are a member already) and also I think there are a number of threads on the plugin. Paul from our team has experimented extensively with this plugin from what I recall, and if you post on the forum, he can direct you appropriately.
For some weird reason after i changed the cufon my site went bizzark
everything aligned to the left and now everything is centered but the sides are empty .
Please help !
I looked at your source code. You appear to have just updated to WP 3.5, and also to have installed a Striking update via FTP. But you installed the whole package you downloaded from themeforest. In other words, you installed incorrectly. So now your wordpress installation cannot find the Striking rules to display your site correctly.
Please go to the support forum, or read the documentation included in your Themeforest package on how to install a theme. You can also reference this link here at Envato – people are always installing themes incorrectly, and Envato has a video on how to install correctly:
We are always willing to assist users who have installation issues.
Well the theme has been running for a week or so with out any issues what so ever so I doubt it is the installation . I even published as you see it just started to act up today
We have the experience of dealing with thousands of users, as well as knowing our code. Thus we can hopefully recognize when our theme is installed correctly or incorrectly. You do not have the theme installed properly. I will illustrate for you – if you look at the source code on any of your pages, you will see all the various scripts being called, and an example of a normal call would be as follows:
<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’theme-skin-css’
href=’http://www.strikingsupport.com/wp-content/themes/striking/cache/skin.css?ver=1355912814' type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
which is the call to the striking/cache folder for the skin.css file which contains all the settings for your site such as colors, font sizes and much more.
However, if one examines your source code, instead of seeing a call to striking/cache, one finds the following:
<link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’striking-styles-all-css’ href=’http://www.47daycrowdfunder.com/wp-content/themes/striking-premium-corporate-portfolio-wp-theme/striking/cache/3b4f205a13552b2986c355a3648cb2b2.css?ver=3.5' type=’text/css’ media=’all’ />
Besides the fact it is grabbing the the wrong stylesheet id (as it cannot find the correct one) the important part here is the file path: “striking-premium-corporate-portfolio-wp-theme” which is not the name of the striking theme folder, but rather the bundled folder that contains not just the wp theme core files which are found in “striking.zip” but also the documentation folder, the resources folder, the license text document and so on. The file sheet being called btw, if you click on that link contained within the code block for your site, is definitely not the stylesheet for Striking!
You have loaded everything, and ‘everything” is messing up your site.
This is very simple to correct. One just has to unpack the Themeforest download so that one can access the striking.zip contained within, and then load up only that striking.zip via the WP Install Theme panel, and activate it. Then immediately go to the Striking Advanced panel and toggle the clear cache on and save. And your site should be restored.
If you are uncomfortable doing this, we are always prepared to support customers. Please go to our support forum, where we assist our customers, register, and post indicating your site url and you have an incorrect install, and are requesting some assistance in order to improve the situation without incurring any damage to your site. And one of our support team will reply.
Thanks James. i followed your instructions. it worked but now have different problems. I have joined the forum as you instructed . I would be happy to share with you my admin credential on your forum to fix the problem thank you
I replied to you on the forum, two posts. And btw, you are actually on track, you cured your original install issue.
I posted in my reply what you need to do next.
Just upgraded to Version 184.108.40.206, running Wordpress 3.5 and my backend Striking menu options look very weird. There is no styling to the options as before, and all the options are presented in a long list.
On Google Chrome
It sounds like you simply need to do a hard refresh of your browser – press Cntrl + F5 on your keyboard at the same time and your page should refresh, and the view correct.
Should you continue to have some sort of a problem, hop over to the forum.
great, thanks that did the job!

Any ETA for responsive?
Need to know, if going to re-buy this for a client
The team behind Striking, particularly Paul, provide a quality of theme and level of support which is first class in quality.
@JoelGalvao…. ETA will be around new year (eve)....
@Andrew.. thank you… it is highly appreciated.
Thanks for the info @BackuPs
I’m using Striking with his child “Striking child theme”.
If I upgrade to last version, My Website do not work anymore.
I especially use child theme to allow easy upgrades.
Thank you for your help.
You updated incorrectly. Did you follow the instructions in the version thread over at the support forum?
We also ask that you post for help at the forum. The Themeforest thread is for potential buyers who have pre-purchase questions, not for theme support.
We will follow for your help request at the Striking Support forum.
I have some basic questions:
How the migration process images from one theme to another?
The images of the Slider and the posts would be migrated without any problem?
My site is http://dowant.com.br
Thank you and congratulations for the excellent work.
Thank you for your interest in Striking. It is hard to say how much difficulty you would experience, but I believe you would have some work to do. Your images will of course still be in your media library, but I think beyond that, you likely would have a fair amount of work to do. Likely your current theme uses different shortcodes, slider scripts, etc. So you would have to reinsert the images with our shortcode, and for the sliders posts, it depends on whether your current theme sets up each slider image as a post type (which is what we do), whether it created slider categories, created featured images for the slider posts, etc.
I do not want to minimize the amount of work you would have to do, and lead you astray as a result. I suspect you would have a fair amount of work to do. All your page content will transfer over successfully (assuming they stored page content in the database which is what is supposed to be done) and your images of course will remain in the media library. But possibly even those you might have to reupload if they did not create all the other thumbnail sizes automatically upon uploading, which some less advanced themes fail to do.
Be advised we are in the final testing stages prior to releasing Striking in Responsive form. No matter what theme one is using, including the current Striking, there would be some work involved in any case to jump to the responsive theme.
Please do not hesitate to follow up with any other questions you might have on this matter.
Again, thank you for your interest in Striking!
Hello, I want to report that the version available for download (Themeforest) is 18.104.22.168.
I need to download the version 22.214.171.124 to test it before putting it to work on my official site.
It actually is Version 126.96.36.199 – it just has the wrong stylesheet in it, an accident when we were putting together the files for upload of version 188.8.131.52 into Themeforest. Lots of file swapping always occurs for prep of the next version, and somehow we swapped in, and then back out, the correct stylesheet!
Be advised we shall be releasing a maintenance update over the weekend, and paying particular attention to making certain we get the correct stylesheet with the version info correct!
