Our apologies for the inconvenience of the api matter.
I having the same issue as the last two people that have posted, missing style.css stylesheet??? Please help.
Help has been rendered! See my replies to the above.
This question you must pose on the Striking Support forum. It is a task and requires some modification – and is custom work.
Furthermore, the slider is not wp multisite compatible, and Striking is a true, multisite compatible theme ( which seems to be getting more rare now) and so this slider has in fact several matters which need to be addressed by the designers in order for the potential of it to be used in Striking.
Is the theme optimized for mobiles yet?
If you are asking about Responsive, the answer is Striking is converting to responsive shortly.
thanks for the reply but do you have a rough estimate as to when? Eagerly awaiting to buy this so my team can work on it but want to wait till its responsive
Just wanted to know the answers for the questions below before I purchase:
1.Will I be offered free upgrade to the responsive Striking theme if I purchase this non-responsive Striking theme now?
2. Will the responsive theme be retina ready?
It is our intent to substitute Striking R for the current version of Striking, as long as Themeforest permits this. We do believe the price of Striking will be increased, and give the sophistication of Striking R, perhaps to $60-$65. All the abilities of Striking in a responsive theme would surpass any of the responsive releases available in terms of abilities and code. It would be well worth it at $100 however!
We have not yet determined if we will make Striking R retina ready. That decision will be made in the next week.
So what’s your advice, should I wait till the release of Striking R or just buy now?
I’m just too eager to buy this theme but given this uncertainity is stopping me from the same.
This is a pre-sales question.
Does the theme support RTL? Please let me know as this is a requirement for my current project.
The current version of Striking does not “officially” support RTL other then we added rtl for the slider. It is used for rtl sites however, and a simple line of code in the custom css box will convert all body text to rtl. should you purchase we can supply the code.
I can give you a few examples of RTL just from a quick search of some sites in my bookmarks:
Thanks so much for your reply! Will Striking R be a different theme or an upgrade to the current one? Also, what is the ETA on that theme?
It is intended to be a replacement, subject to Themeforest approval. Be advised that it may very well be that the Striking price increases, although that is likely a negligible factor given that all themeforest pricing is inexpensive. But were that a concern, then one should purchase now.
Eta has been amended due to a recent update of the current theme. Our intent is to roll it out in say 2 weeks give or take. Current Striking owners, who are designers or have a well established rep with us are able to access a beta for prework for their ongoing projects.
I was considering this over another popular theme, but I’m glad I went with Striking. It’s a clean theme, simple theme, and provides a lot of options in admin. I have built many websites in the past, but this theme is clean – meaning the code is simple to understand, and error free. I’ve run into a couple of questions, and requests for simple modifications, and have posted these on the free forum of the theme, the developers have always replied within hours, which is awesome. I’ll be using this theme again, and look forward to the future updates.
I made a good choice when I bought Striking a year ago. It’s the most flexible Wordpress theme I’ve worked with. Design is clean and allows customisation with lots of options.
I’m not a webdesigner and know nothing more thant “the average blogging Joe” about websites but Striking admin panel comes with help fields. It’s like having a private instructor guiding you step by step.
The Striking team keeps to proudly update its theme. The community on the free forum is active, developers are actively present. So even after more than a year, when a question comes, I get an answer within hours. It’s an added value.
I found today striking premium and find information very interesting. As I understood we have to wait for responsive version. But I would like to ask a stupid question, but important for me. I ask it just to be sure? My web site has to be imperatively in three languages: Russian, French and English. When I saw your life preview I didn’t see no information about multilanguges and no icons which normally used for passing from one language to an other. I guess With new version it will be always multilanguges theme and I could add three icons for changing languages? Do you have a tutorial for learning how to built multilanguges web site with striking theme?
On other question: is it possible to use a JPEG photo as a background of the home page?
Thank in advance
Thank you for your interest in Striking.
Striking includes both russian po and mo files. Currently Striking ships with 18 language files including Russian, both traditional and simplified chinese, fr, german, spanish, etc. Striking is a wpml theme, and we have customized Striking so that all WPML functions are supported. Striking supports the wpml flags in the header area as a built in feature of Striking, for example.
We did not set up multilanguage in our demo site, but I believe we will do so in the near future.
The wpml site provides all the tutorials, since using wpml is a function of the plugin, not the theme. We supply the framework coded so that it can be fully utlized, but it is the plugin function to show users how to go about matters.
We do however assist users with general questions they may have about using the wpml plugin in Striking on our support forum. This is a well documented plugin with an active support forum of its own and i think you will find their resources quite sufficient for your learning needs.
In respect of the background with jpegs, the answer is yes. You can use jpegs or png images. Striking has a whole set of functions in the admin for installing backgrounds. And we have many threads on the support forum for undertaking special customizations as well.
I’ve been using this template for a while now and it’s great.
However, i would like to get rid of the light gradient which is applied in the main area (between header, slideshow and footer). Where can i get this done. Is there an option or do i have to change the CSS? Please let me know!
Thxns in advance
Thank you for your kind words about Striking.
I believe you are a forum member already. So I will direct you to the forum, and to search it using google, for removing the shadows for the header, slideshow and footer. We have posted the solution for this several times and it is easily found in the forum.
Should you have any further questions about either this matter or any other please post them on the support forum. As per the FAQ above, we answer usage related questions at the forum, and prospective purchase questions here at Themeforest. The link to the forum is in the FAQ tab above, in case you have forgotten it.
I just updated Striking and it’s amazing… I’m not able to upload a favicon or Logo… is there something I need to do first?
I go to General Settings and click on Insert Image and nothing happens…
Is there something I’m missing?
Thanks for you help in this matter.
Thank you for your kind words about the update. Our Striking user base is all pretty much aware how we agonized over this update to get it as good as possible. It has huge amounts of code updates, and incorporates the very latest web standards for every single function within it.
I am not sure if it was your post I recently answered on the forum about the logo updating. I ask that if it was not then please go to the forum, as I just answered a similar question for another user, who simply had to clear the Striking Cache in the Striking Advanced panel after their update, and also clear their browser cache as they had their browser set to store webpages (which assists for normal surfing but is a hindrance if one is doing developing and design which do it yourselfers are often unaware).
Also remember that for these functions, you upload from your desktop, rather then selecting from the image library.
Will follow for your post on the forum (we do support on the weekend as well) in case you have a continuing usage matter.
I have been waiting eagerly for the responsive release. I am at the point of launching a website so do you suggest I wait for the release or purchase right away? The website is quite large (500+ pages) so I don’t really want to re-do any work later on.
We have many of the professional designers who use Striking regularly for client sites beta testing the responsive version, which also assists them in pre-work for new projects. As we do not know who you are, until you have purchased Striking and contacted us at the forum, you would have to wait…....
How do we center the top nav menu. at this point the menu is right justified. How do I center it?
Thank you, Tony
Please go to the support forum for help. Please review the forum header message, which will actually not only tell you how to search the forum, but in fact the search that is illustrated as a search guide will in fact provide you the answer to your question!

Where is the support forum? Please provide the direct link. Thank you kindly, Tony
There are thousands of entries with NO search mechanism. Please specifically direct me to the answer. Thank you!
Kap! I found it! Problem solved! Thank you!
Thanks for the great theme. After the update to the latest version of the theme the nivo slideshow that I have placed in the main page area using the short code tool won’t work any longer, i.e. : http://www.albrecht-mendelssohn-bartholdy.de/eng/scholarship/ . What can I do?
Please go to the support forum for help. I should add however, did you go to the Striking Advanced Tab and clear the cache?
Hi File localization and translation works fine for the public part, but now with the admin has a problem. Language file is pulled and translation works only when the page is saved (settings). When you refresh the page again translation is completely lost. Can you help me solve this problem? I’m doing a translation into Russian.
Please go to the support forum for help. Please register, and post your question and issue in a new thread, and one of our support team members will assist you.

How do I center it?
Please see my answer above.
I’m really interested in buying this theme for my company website but before that i need to confirm that this theme is fully responsive. I can’t find any thing in the description which clearly states whether this theme is fully responsive or not. Can somebody please confirm
We are in the process now of putting the finishing touches to the responsive version of Striking, and we anticipate release in the very near future. Should you have any further questions about this matter you are welcome to email us at: support @ striking support . com (without the space of course!).
The best part is that we have managed to port over all the current Striking features and settings (the lightbox script and some sliders are changed for the responsive version which actually improves the feature set overall) so that Striking R will undoubtedly be as flexible and customizable as the current Striking has been.
Hi . I am thinking of buying a Striking licence. Are there any video tutorials to get me started using it? Where? (I am worried about how I will find my way round all the features and options). Richard.
We do have some videos over on our support forum – a general tour of striking, how to install by WP, how to install by ftp, how to create a slider, how to create a gallery, how to create a portfolio gallery.
But a heads up that in a few days – I am going to say less then 10 and it could be much sooner – we will be releasing a completely updated version of Striking in responsive form, and it will have a video series plus much expanded help fields in it.
BTW, our support forum is extremely robust, and has proven to be a superb resource for users – if you review past comments even on the previous page, you will see that some users have noted our support has been very helpful for users, both new and professional.
Hope you join the Striking family!
Will the updated Striking theme have the same out-of-the-box styling as the current non-responsive version?
Yes, as noted in a prior response, we have preserved all the current Striking abilities and settings in the new framework we are working with – so all the flexibility that currently exists for manipulating the header, feature header, body, footer and widget areas is carried on into the new version. And all of the abilities to set colors, fonts, backgrounds are not only carried over, but there are even some new additions as well.
The work is actually done on the theme itself other then we may add 1 or 2 more features to it. It is the help fields and related matters that are keeping us busy now. It probably will take a week or so to get all of that shipshape, and then it launches.
Just to thank you for this awesome theme – probably the best WordPress theme – and for your very reactive support. Great stuff guys !
Thank you for your kind words. I do not recognize your user id here at TF, so I am not sure who this is, but we at Striking are pleased you think so well of both Striking and its support.
Best of luck with your web endeavours.
