I hope you’re doing well! I noticed a few days ago that the Facebook’s like counter suddenly stopped working (“Subscriber counter” widget). Twitter counter works, but FB doesn’t update anymore. I disabled & cleaned cache plugins + cleaned server cache, but problem still occurs. Blog: www.fleamarketinsiders.com
I saw that the same issue happened with your Metro Magazine Responsive Theme. You explained that this was linked to changes in the API.
“There has been some changes in the API, that’s why it does not work. I have already updated the theme to fix it. The updated version will be available to download shortly, once it is available, download the updated version and replace the widget file. You will need to replace only one file, you can find its details in the changelog which you can find in the theme package.”
Would you be kind enough and also update the theme’s file for TeraNews?
That’d be great. Thanks!
I have already updated the theme and also have replied to your email. If you have further questions, please just reply to that email
I hope you’re doing great! I just noticed that the FB counter stopped working once again (just like last year). I thought you might want to have a look at this
Thanks in advance for your help with fixing this!
Hi Nikk, Sorry for the delayed reply. This is because of the changes in the Facebook API. I will update the theme soon to make it work with the new API.
Hi Sami! No worries about the delay Do you already have a release date in mind for the update? Would love to see the FB counter working again
If there’s only a few lines of code to change, I’m more than happy to do it myself by updating the file(s) manually via ftp.
I hope to update by the end of this week. It would require more changes than just a few lines of code as the Facebook has changed its API. Now you need to use the API access codes.
Hi! Please be informed that I have already updated the theme. You can download the latest version of the theme from your downloads page. Remember to check the changelog
Hi Sami! That’s great, thanks! I’m downloading it now, and I’ll let you know if there’s anything not working. But I trust it will work smoothly, just as usual!
Sami, I have one big favor to ask you: would you mind giving me just the code (or file) you modified for the facebook counter?
The thing is, I’ve made so many custom edits to your theme that I’d lose everything if I update all files of the theme (I haven’t set up a child theme).
Thank you so much in advance for your help.
Hi, sure. Send me a message using the contact form in my profile and I will get back to you
I noticed that on smartphones, content is not optimized as it does not appear full width: background takes a lot of useful screen space (the stripes you can see on each side of the screen), while this space could be used to give more room for content.
Where can I modify Css so there’s no background when content is displayed on smartphones?
thanks a lot for your help.
Okay, I found the section that needs to be modified in style.css: 10.4. Mobile Portrait Size to Mobile Landscape Size (devices and browsers)
Do I only need to increase the width of the #container or also modify #main and #inner-wrap?
Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
I have replied to your email, if you have any further questions, you can simply reply to that
I have another question: I know that links color and other color schemes can be modified in theme option. However, when applying or changing link color, this applies to ALL type of links on the theme (not only text link in post content, but also social media links, next/previous post, widget links, etc.).
What do i have to modify so Link Color option ONLY applies to text links in post?
Thanks in advance for your help!
I have already replied to your email, hope this issue is resolved already. If you have further questions, please simply reply to the email
1. On the homepage, next to the slider are 2 posts. Is this area on the right widgetized so I can customize the content? I’d like to be able to put a contact form here.
2. I noticed the archive pages have 2 columns for the posts. Is there an easy option to change this to one column without code changes?
3. Are the homepage sections widgetized so I can customize the content? I don’t need every section to be latest posts. Some sections need to have custom content using a text widget, etc.
Thanks for the interest.
For the #1 and #3, these are not the widgetized areas. You can select what posts to display next to the slider. Also, on the homepage you can use the featured and the blog sections only. If you want to place any text etc., you can place it directly in the code. For the #2, you will need to make changes in the code. Let me know if you have more questions
on your smartphone is not displayed, the widget slider

Hi, i have a pre sale question.
the slider is too big for me can i put the slider half of the place and put instead 2 posts on the right 4 posts, 2 posts like it is and 2 posts instead of half of the slider
Thanks for the interest. That would require changes in the code. If you have good understanding of the code, I can help you with it. If you have more questions, let me know
The same issue happened last year with Teranews and your Metro Magazine Responsive Theme. You explained back then that this was linked to changes in the API.
Hi Nikk, I have replied to your previous comment. If you have more questions, please use the contact form to send me a direct message and I will be glad to help
Any plans to include sticky sidebars in future releases?
No such plan but that can be achieved by making a few changes in the css. If you need support, you can send me a message using the contact form in my profile and I can try to see how I could help you with that.
Hi Sami! I hope you’re doing well. I just wanted to know if TeraNews was compatible with PHP 7.
Thanks in advance for your answer, and have a great beginning of 2017!
Hi! I have replied to your email already
