Hello, First of all thank you for this theme
I’d like to know how i can change the order of the pages in Homepage to put the most recent in first
Thanks in advance
you can change the order manually by changing the order of the IDs you have put in
Hello, Thanks for your quick answer but i’ve already tried this way and it doesn’t work for me
I’ve changed the order in the “Homepage Pages” field in the backoffice but the order is still “ASC”
Is there another place where i can modify something (maybe in the code) ?
Thanks in advance
indeed, you are right!
Open index.php and find line 13:
<?php $wp_query = new WP_Query( array( 'post_type' => 'page', 'post__in' => $homepageposts, 'posts_per_page' => -1, 'orderby' => 'menu_order', 'order' => 'ASC' ) );?>
Replace it with this code:
<?php $wp_query = new WP_Query( array( 'post_type' => 'page', 'post__in' => $homepageposts, 'posts_per_page' => -1, 'orderby' => 'menu_order' ) );?>
Hope that helps!Bebel
Of course it helps me
Thanks again for your quick answers and for solving my issue !
I bought this and uploaded it to my wordpress but it doesnt show up. When I click my website www.buildwithtrue.com it just shows up with a little “My Website” button in the top left corner.. Should i update to wordpress 3.8? Whats wrong with it? And where are the video tutorials for this site
please download the full archive from themeforest (download button) to get access to the documentation. Unzip the file and navigate to the documentation folder – there is a step by step help on how to set the theme up!
I just bought this but looks like my CSS isn’t being found or something… (Wordpress 3.8) any ideas ? You can have a look here : http://www.gentesplayerscoaching.com/
Fixed everything, by not setting up a static home page.
Great it worked out!
i was checking the demo from my iPhone.
Really is it a responsive theme? I can’t read nothing…
Can you please check it?
this theme is not responsive.

Hi, I wondered if you could help me. I wish to remove the date, author, and category from a list of blog categories:
What do I remove from the code to get rid of this?
Is there a way to hide this information from this list, but if I have another main blog, have it still listed there? I like the look of the blog list for this page of practice areas, but I wish to not have these items in this particular list.
Also, if I wanted to make it so the blog posts don’t cut short but post the entire thing, how would I do that?
Thank you! I would have posted over on the support site, but the last time I did that, I got no responses.
sorry for the late reply here on themeforest. I have already answered your query in the forums 5 days ago
Oh also, I want to completely remove the ability to comment from blog posts. How do I remove this feature? Thanks.
first sorry for the long response time! Normally the support forum should work real fast – seems like the coder missed your post.
You can turn off the comment functionality for each post in the post backend view. It is a standart wordpress functionality. Also check the setings menu for more comment related functions
In the demo, in the upper left corner is displayed The Firm Take it One Step forward. How can I get my site title and tagline to appear like this?
We just created a logo in Photoshop and uploaded it to the theme
The font we used is “Myridad Pro”.
I just purchased your theme and would like to know if it’s possible to get the background images you have on the live preview of the theme. if so, please email them to me. Thanks.
as the background images are stock photos, we can’t give them to you nor have the rights to sell them.
If you are searching for great photos, take a look at photodune (link in the header of themeforest)
Thanks for that information. I need help with the bottom buttons layout. Please take a look at directcapitalllc.com and take a look at the bottom. i want the buttons to look like the ones in the theme display
I think this should be an easy one go to Appearance -> Menus. You’ll see your menu there and also an option to set it to a specific location. In this case put it in the footer menu location.
WP 3.8 has this option at the bottom – if you are using a older version of WordPress you’ll find the option to define the menu in a box to the left.
Hope that helps
that didn’t help. I am using version 3.8 – please let me know if there is another way you can help with this. Thanks.
in WordPress 3.8 – go to “Appearance”-“Menus”. When You see your menu scroll to the very bottom – you will see “Menu” Settings. Check the box “primamry menu”.
Also: on top you will find a tab called “Manage location”. Click that tab and chose your menu.
That helped, thanks. I want to know why images look distorted when a tab is clicked. What can i do to fix that?
Can you send me a link to your site so I can see what you mean?
Hi, we’re hosting your theme on WP 3.8.1 at sportads.co.uk but we can’t seem to get the footer menu appearing as it is in The Firm Live Preview site.
Please can you advise on how we can get the footer appearing with horizontal, neatly boxed links rather than the vertical footer links on there at present?
go to Appearance -> Menus and create a new menu. Save it as the footer menu location and the menu should look just fine
Got it, thanks!
Thank you for this beautiful template.
Is there a field or where should I put the Google analytics script ?
no. There is no option for google analytics. We strongly recommend to use a plugin for this! Third party plugins are most of the time much more powerful than anything a theme author can include in the theme.
Here is one example: http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/
There are a lot more out there, though
Just bought this theme and when I’m uploading to wordpress it goes through and fails after the “installing theme” alert and gives me this message:
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
What do I need to do?
please extract the folder you got from themeforest and upload the theme files only. There is a documentation in the zip file that explains how to install the theme.
Thanks for the response.
Also, how can I get my menu’s appear as they do in the preview. 3 menus with descriptions and an image. I would also like to have them respond when the mouse hovers over it. How can I set that up?
please have a look at the help file – we have an extensive help file explaining how to set this up, including videos.
I have purchased this theme and am having the following issue: I am not able to place 3 pages on the home page although I followed the instructions within the video. I searching all around to find a solution.
thanks for your purchase!
Can you provide me a link to your site so I can have a look?
mslegal.at and I created a playing ground, too mslegal.at/internal/
Ok, it seems like updating the theme helps see mslegal.at/internal
Hi I bought your theme and try to use the gallery template. No problem with the uploading the images and showing it. But the problem is how to delete one of the item after it already uploaded? I have deleted on the editor and the image is keep showing.
Have you deleted it in the Editor gallery tab?
I need help for an IE issue. In an older version of the IE the image in the first box doesn’t fit – see: http://mslegal.at/screenshot.jpg. Only in IE 11 it works fine.
Link again: http://mslegal.at/screenshot.jpg
Second question: Why is there a border around the images in Chrome and Firefox and nothing in IE except the first box in an older version?
I just wanted to let you know that I am traveling at the moment and can’t answer this question just yet. Once I get back to a hotel with internet I will take a look!
Please extract the theme before uploading it to the server. You will find the theme and the documentation on how to install it inside the zip archive.
Bebel, thanks for the really fast reply. I have it up and running now and have been trying to follow the vid to configure the homepage like in the demo. I can’t get any of the other pages to post. In the video it shows you (or whomever) editing in Homepage IDs in The Firm Theme Options. Where did you find the IDs you used?
Bebel, it’s not a problem. I actually figured that part out, but had some other questions. Notably, the drop up menu illustrated in your demo. I don’t see any remark in your documentation on it. By the way, I just wanted to say that this is a killer theme and is feature rich. You did an amazing job. And thank you for being so responsive. If anyone is thinking about buying this theme and reading this then take note that your dev is on the freakin’ ball!
Thanks Always good to hear something nice! ;D
As for the menu: Go to “Appearance” and the “Menus”. There you have to create a new menu. Afterwards you need to assign this menu to a specific location (the main menu location). In older WordPress versions you wild find the menu location drop down at the top left of the menu screen, in older versions you’ll find it when you scroll down.
After you have done that and saved your changes, everything should look and work like in the demo
Bebel, menu works like a charm. One more question for you. So, the pics I use for featured images for the tools look good on homepage and in The Team, but when I click on a particular item to pop up to the full page it squishes and elongates the pic. Not a super huge deal, but with The Team especially it makes each team member’s page have a very funny and distorted looking pic to the side. Any fix for this within the admin panel? I can hop in and futz with the CSS myself, but you know how it goes…mess with one small thing and it breaks everything else!
In your demo the thumbnails get cropped instead of stretched to fit. How can I make it do that?
in single.php you can change the line 12 from
$image = vt_resize( $thumb,'' , 860, 220, true ); ?>
$image = vt_resize( $thumb,'' , 860, 220); ?>
to prevent cropping of the image.
We are looking into the other problem with the stretching image!
Bebel, look at tadamhicks.com/isaakbond.com You’ll see that when you click into a page it distorts the pictures. I don’t want to prevent cropping (necessarily). I’m ok with cropping if it keeps the correct dimensions when it pops into the new page. Does that make sense?
the distortion comes from taking a picture that is smaller than the “box” we provide. If you upload a bigger image, it will be cropped
Please try it!
I will. I did use one from your demo of the Theme as a test. Admittedly it’s not the original image but a save from the Theme demo so the meta is probably not accurate, but still, shouldn’t it behave like the one in your demo?
the one in the demo is a bigger one that is then cropped to what you see on the frontend – if you take the cropped one from the frontend it will again be resized to fit
Hi, the featured images I’m loading do not display when I create pages. I’ve tried different file formats (PNG, JPEG, GIF) and different browsers with no luck—each time the image displays as a broken link.
Also, I cannot preview changes.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I’ve tried to register for support as well, but your link will not accept my activation code. I have followed the instructions EXACTLY as you have them posted.
can you please send me a link to the page so I can take a look?
Nice theme! Pre-purchase question: For The Team page, is it possible to display the members so that the page is scrolling up and down, instead of left and right as it is currently? Thanks.
Thanks for your interest!
We do not have an option to change the scrolling I am afraid. You could only use a normal page and add a html table to add pictures underneath each other (without the transparent background though)
Hope that helps
Thanks for the info. Is it possible for you to add this to the theme for an additional cost?
at the moment we are at the limits of our capacity and unfortunately can’t do any customizations. You might be able to find a freelancer in the themeforest forums that can help you out with this.
i purchased these theme and uploaded into my wordpress.
but the site styling doesnot seem to function properly.
my wordpress version is 3.8.1, is that the problem?
What styling do you mean, exactly?
That is working me, as i followed the previous post reply. But while uploading the background image, the image uploads but is not getting inserted as the background
That’s strange – can you give me a link to your site so I can have a look?
after uploading did you press on the “insert” button in the popup and later saved the changes? If so but you still have the same problem – would you mind sending me login details via email? I will then take a look and solve the problem
whats ur email address?
you can use the contact form on our profile page or send to bebel_flashden at yahoo.de
Thanks and I am sure we can fix this very quick!
We have installed the theme and tried to upload multiple image types but we still always see blank placeholders for the homepage thumbnails and the main page images. How can we fix this issue?
did you follow the steps layed out in the documentation to set everything up?
Yes, the whole site is setup except the images. They upload perfectly fine and show up on a separate link but not on the main page.
can you give me a link to your site so I can have a look?
Hi, I have tried to join the group on the support forum but it says it cannot validate my purchase code?
I am just starting out with this theme but trying to build something as quickly as possible. The first bug I have found so far is I can’t seem to set the background images, when I upload an image and press insert into the post the window goes blank and it does not seem to save the information.
I hope I can get this bug resolved and get the site built as soon as possible.
Could you please advise what might be causing this problem? and can you help me join the group on the support site, my username is lucidmotion
go to your media manager and copy the URL to your background image. Paste it in the background input field and click “save”.
That should solve the issue Did you use the license certificate to enter the forum? (you find that code on your download page when you click on “download”)
I did manage to work out the background image function, so no worries there. but I would like access to the forum. I did copy and paste the purchase code, but the forum did not accept it. Is there some way you can manually give me the access? can I email you the purchase code? You can see from my title in this post that I have purchased the theme.
please send the purchase code and username in the forums through the contact form on my profile page ( http://themeforest.net/user/Bebel#from ), I will try to activate you manually!
