Hi there ! I’ve recently purchased this theme, but when i’ve installed it, it installed corectly but incomplete. I say incomplete since i don’t see quite a lot of the options i see the theme has in the tutorial videos. For instance, i don’t have “The Firm Background Images” in my appearance menu in wp-admin. I am kind of in a jurry with this so it would be nice if you could help me fix this fast. I’ve tryed to make a support account on your website, but… i think i’ve jumped to explaining my problem instead of filling the purchased code, so this is probably why i cannot post this on your support website.
Thank you in advance, and looking forward to hear from you.
can you please send me login data through the contact formular on my profile page?
Is there a way to add widgets to the template? I have a plugin that allows me to put widgets in the content, but the widgets link in the dashboard is gone.
no, there is no widget sidebar included in this theme. If you would like to have one, you would have to modify some code
Bravo, I like your theme. but before buying it I would like to know if it is responsive design? I do not see it with the demo.
The Firm is not responsive I am afraid. It does “work” on many devices but doesn’t adapt to them like a 100% responsive theme does. But I encourage you to open the site with your mobile device (turn off the themeforest frame!) and see what I mean
Thank you for your answer. I saw that you had also made “the circle law”, I think that it corresponds to my needs! I am going to buy it
And thank you for your reactivity
i was able to setup the theme just fine, but i got some problems with the team page.
I add a page with “The Team” template and add it to the front page. Then i add a couple of team members.
Finally i open up the frontpage and load the teampage with ajax.
The result is, that the hovering effects for each member are gone, there are no arrows to switch through the team members and the pictures are slightly off place.
When i use the direct permalink (URL) to the page everything is fine and working.
as you deducted correctly, the team page can not be embedded into the front page.
The ajax feature was not designed to do so, and it would be quite a lot of work to change the functionality.
The only solution would be to include the team page in the navigation.
My download of the theme didn’t come with ANY help instructions.. I don’t know how to use The Team part :/ Could you send it to me?
on the downloads page, you have to download the whole package, not only the file containing the theme zip. When clicking on Download, make sure you download the “Main File(s)”
Thanks! I got that all figured out.
One more question though – the footer doesn’t show up and I can’t find any options for it to do so. Any suggestions?
do you mean the navigation? Please read in the documentation how to set it up or watch the video for this section
Bebel – can you please tell me how i can go about centering the 3 boxes on the homepage so that when our website load the 3 boxes on the homepage show in the middle of the page rather than at the top. Thank You.
you have to add padding to your logo via CSS in order to do so
I would like to know if ‘the firm’ theme can support the WPML plugin.
No it doesn’t I am afraid
When i upload the theme, the background does not appear and also the pages does not appear. When i tried to add background the computer lockup. Most probably, the zip file that i have downloaded is not working well.
Here is the link:
sorry to hear you have trouble. Did you take a look at the documentation? There are a few steps you have to take before the site looks the way it does on the demo site.
Yes i did everything according to documentation but my problem does not solve. Can you send me a new .rar file because probably all of these problems arising from the broken .rar file that i have downloaded from here.
Is the theme compatible with pricing table plugins from CodeCanyon? To be more precise, I’m interested if I will be able to integrate this plugin http://codecanyon.net/item/css3-responsive-web-pricing-tables-grids-for-wordpress/629172?sso?WT.ac=search_item&WT.seg_1=search_item&WT.z_author=QuanticaLabs
I really can’t tell you if that plugin works with the Firm – as we can not test every plgin out there of course. But I am confident the person who created the plugin might be able to lend a hand if you run in trouble.
where are the basic instructions for THE FIRM theme? i can’t seem to open or find them. And you site won’t let me register to access these suposed help videos. I have no idea how to use this, I was under the impression it as wysiwyg, is this true?!
The videos are included in the help files
I am having an issue getting the social media icons to appear. I have filled out the fields in the Theme Options, but nothing show at all…
Also, I would like to add two more icons – Google+ and LinkedIn
Please see www.jurisink.com to see the site.
please send me login data to your wordpress installation through my profile page’s contact form so I can take a look.
Possible to take the menu up and have a drop down. I have made the menu go up by messing around the old CSS file you had. Please help me get the drop down working…
I have got it completed, many thanks for a superb work and best effort.
Best of luck
Glad it worked out for you!
I am trying to add another section to the same website but the home page does not come with an arrow automatically, please explain what to do if i want to have 4 sections on the home page
only 3 rows on the main page are supported. You can not add a fouth one without custom modifications to the code.
I PAID FOR THIS THEME AND AFTER MUCH TROUBLE SIGNED INTO YOUR SUPPORT FORUM BUT HAVE RECEIVED NO SUPPORT FOR 1 WEEK. I CANNOT HELP BUT THINK THAT YOU MADE A SHABBY PRODUCT BUT A NICE DEMO. YOUR DOCUMENTATION DOENS’T EVEN EXPLAIN HOW TO CHAGE THE BACKGROUND IMAGE OR ANY OF THE TWEAKS NECESSARY TO MAKE THE THEME LOOK RIGHT. I apologize for the all caps, perhaps you can finally hear me, and not just take my money. This theme has almost ZERO support.
I have replied to your question here, at themeforest. Take a look up.
I thought it was clear with this answer – sorry, I should have replied in the forums, too. And the question above, by the way, was all you have asked. There was no question about the background image. If you would have posted this question somewhere, we surely would have answered
You can set up the background images by accessing the menu Appearances -> The Firm Background Images. The menu point already tells you what it does, but we do explain it in the documentation, too. Point “Installation Instructions” => “WP Admin -> Appearance -> The Firm Background Images – here you can select and manage the background image(s)”.
Hey, I’ve tried all of that, but in the ” The Firm Background Images” clicking on an image doen’t yield any results, it doesn’t let me set anything, just lets me view and upload images, but sets none of them as bg. It just goes to a blank white window after I upload my image.
Also is it possible to change the font and colour of the text on the pages? And how to center the homepage page links as you have them?
I was hoping some of this would have been in the documentation.
The basic set up little resembles the demo.
a basic workaround for this is to copy the URL from the input field you get after uploading the image: http://i.imgur.com/JcCBGbH.png and pasting it into the url field you get when clicking on add image.
You can change the color of the text on the pages by modifying the CSS files.
Could you elaborate further what you mean by “center the home page links?”
bg image worked, thank you. What part of the css should i update? Also, In your example you have the main page links in the centre on the page but on my page www.dehbonmediation.com- they are justified to the top i think and to the left
do you only respond if I am very upset? That seems a little backward for support.
In your example you have the main page links in the centre on the page but on my page www.dehbonmediation.com- they are justified to the top i think and to the left.
This is what the demo offers but the coding of the product LACKS. How do I mak it match YOUR demo?
Listen. I answered your first question. It was not me who did not ask a follow up question and blames on the author. You were very impolite, but yet I answered you on a Sunday night.
I do have to sleep at some point – I hope you are familiar with the concept of time zones.
Right now I am not at my desk and can not help you, but I will, once I have access to the source code and a computer.
At the other line is a human being, too. So stay polite, ok?
yes but a human being who should have clarified just HOW MUCH extra code you need to know in order to use this template. The website I bought it for has a deadline. My questions are not even complicated, I just want t make it look like the demo, your demo, as that is what i thought I was purchasing. Forgive me if I am being rude, but you’ve sort of screwed me by not having these instructions included either in your documentation or otherwise. This template is COMPLICATED unless you know code. You should warn us. You also put yourself into a position where you are the only one to answer the MANY questions which come up from me and everyone else and you do not provide detailed answers. Before I ask you I’ve red every comment here and every comment on the paltry Bebel support forum (which is tiny)
Again, I would have no problem answering your questions. You just did not ask them
However, here come the answers. You need to define a menu for the theme. Go to appearances -> Menu and create a new menu, assign it on the box on the left side (titled “Theme locations”).
This should fix the menu.
Next, the thing about the boxes being aligned on top results from a low logo height. You need to add some transparancy to the logo to push the content boxes lower. We used this solution, because many people use huge logos – a standard css padding would push the site too low. Here, take a look at our logo file: http://i.imgur.com/5x0pO.png
Changing the color of the text is something that usually is done via CSS. If you do not know about this, the best way usually is to ask politely (as modifications of our themes are normally not covered by support. After all, you charge your client a whole lot of money and buy a theme for 35$ – thats way below our hourly rate for custom work, and I bet below yours ). In your line of work, you should know Firebug: http://i.imgur.com/7gkwzQc.png
Also, over 700 purchases and no complain like yours don’t really support your clain that the theme is “complicated”. You know, there is no shame at all to admit a lack of experience / knowledge. It is all about attitude. Being nice to people will result in a nice reaction. Being bold brings nothing.
If you have further questions, feel free to ask. Politely.
hey the reason i bought this is because this is not my line of work. It is a favour for my father who needs a website, and im sorry if it seems ‘bold’ but if the theme had worked exactly as the demo with your documentation showing how to plug things in, none of these messages would exist. All of them are because for example the default font it keeps switching to is strange and unreadable, and not the font in the demo, the boxes are (as you adressed) not situated in the middle of the page. The links at the bottom are vertical and not horizontal, the logo keps stretching for no reason. These are all bugs in the code which the documentation doesn’t cover, and which don’t correspond to the demo. Can you understand my frustration? I will post on the forums because I need to get this site done. It als took you a week to respond to my first very polite message so i’ve been ‘bolder’ since.
this is the site with all the default settings following your documentation., feel free to look please. I just want it to resemble the demo, seriously. that’s it. http://dehbonmediation.com/
this is the designer speaking

You need to add some transparancy to the logo to push the content boxes lower. I created it for you: http://i39.tinypic.com/j6q3oy.png please click the graphic and save it to your computer.
that was actually really helpful!
Could you please tell me how to change the text font and colour to match your demo?
can you please send me the current link for the page so I can have a look what you mean? The link you posted above is shows still the same status quo from a couple of days ago.
Might it be that you chose the transparent style in the theme options? We use the solid theme style.
The live version of the template is not responding at all now. Can you please check this? Thanks.
The Firm works on mobile devices but is not responsive I am afraid
I think you designed a beautiful theme and I am hopeful that the support is good.
I purchased it earlier today and successfully installed it into WordPRess. Then, I signed up for your theme support, but I keep getting a message that my account needs to be activated through my email. HOWEVER, I have not received an email in order to do that.
Could you please check so I can benefit from the forums, etc. for THE FIRM.
have you checked your spam folder for the activation mail? Somehow it gets stuck there often!
Yeah, I checked my spam folder and trash, nothing.
I made sure to watch the videos and read whatever documentation but there are always unique situations and I have several questions.
The most frustrating one is that I can’t get the image slider to work and that is the biggest visual element for each page. Instructions/troubleshooting on that should be more detailed and hopefully I will find that in your support forum once I can get in.
sorry for the trouble! I have activated you manually, please proceed with the standard purchase confirmation procedure (takes 30 seconds :))
I am sure the slider will be set up in no time!
I have problem with menu, this template no open more level menu
How make more level menu
Please help me for this problem
You need to define a menu for the theme. Go to appearances > Menu and create a new menu, assign it on the box on the left side (titled “Theme locations”). To create a multilevel menu you have to move the menue boxes underneath each other with the subpages a little bit more to the right. Hope that helps :)
Thank you for reply
I did all this, but the sub-menu does not show
Mmmh thats strange. If you send me login details I will see what I can do.
thanx for the great theme keep up the good work.
but theres one thing i get alot of spam from the contact form, is there something i can do about this?
sorry for the late reply
Spam is nothing we can do anything about maybe you could use a plugin that asks for a captcha or something?
Hey Bebel, Great Job!!!
Not only the design of a great looking theme. But putting up with some people… and still you sometimes even do house-calls.
