Great – Thx a lot!
hello, is it possible to show a sidebar for the whole page. so not every section a new one, but a sidebar that goes through from top to bottom.
greetings
Hi weddingweiser,
Currently it’s not possible but it’s a good idea that we’ll try to bring it into life in upcoming updates. Saved to @todolist.
Kind regards,
Cuong Tran
could you please remind me how do I hide feature image in single post? thank you.
I have a strange java issue whenver I click on any of my posts the content jumps.
When i activate autoload next post.
Hi danutz78,
1/ If you want to hide globally for all posts, please go to Customize > Single > Single Post layout then uncheck the Thumbnail.
For each individual post, please go to the Post Settings > Show/Hide below the post editor.
2/ May I have your site please? What’s the strange javascript issue?
The demos I am installing do not look anything like the demos.
My site: https://butthegameison.com/markt/
The demo I want to mimic: https://thefox.withemes.com/daniel/
Hi BTGIO,
You have some plugins like PageLayer (??) that displays different header, footer so it doesn’t look like the demo.
Please unstall that plugin then it’ll be fine.

Could you p[lease for the next update ad the advertising spaces to post settings, like the review option (before content, middle of content, end of contgent). Also gutenberg blocks should be the next step as wordpress is where is going at.
also a woocomerce, and single post sidebar would be nice. thank you.
Hi danutz78,
1/ I think normally people don’t need ad per post like review option. For ad for all posts you can go to Customize > Advertisement.
2/ Noted the single product + sidebar.
Kind regards,
Cuong Tran
Can you please check why jquery helper says ”.../wp-content/themes/fox/inc/admin/js/admin.js: ‘ready’ event is deprecated” I detected that when my yoast seo keyphrase failed to load so I installed jquery and got that response… I hope you fix this soon… Thanks… It’s a great theme
Hi 247naijabuzz1,
If you install the latest theme version this issue will disappear.
Kind regards,
Cuong Tran
Okay
But I’m using the latest version 4.6.5 and I still get the error
Hi 247naijabuzz1,
Could you please open a ticket at our support desk with your login credentials? I’ll help you to check it.

Thanks, I detected one plugin “social autoposter” caused it… I’ve removed the plugin..
Hi 247naijabuzz1,
Glad you found it.

Hello and congratulations on the theme. I wanted to ask how you can disable the floating sticky header mobile. there are problems on the sticky and I would like to disable it, it basically does not let adsense pull-down ads appear. How can I solve the problem?
Hi Robadasocial,
Please add following code into Customize > Additional CSS:
#masthead-mobile{position: static;}#masthead-mobile-height{display:none !important;}
Hope this helps,
Cuong Tran
Good morning and thanks for the help .. Doing the page speed test indicates as an error, the lack of the measurement in width and height of the mobile logo … ” Set explicit width and height in image elements to reduce layout variations and improve the CLS metric” My site is robadasocial.it can I solve?
Hi Robadasocial,
I have noted this for upcoming update. You’ll see it automatically fixed in the next version after updating the theme.
Kind regards,
Cuong Tran
Very tanks
Could you please tell me how to remove sticky and featured posts from main blog posts… I want to show them only in sections.
Hi adiaboli,
Unfortunately we don’t have such an option in theme right now. I have noted this query into @todo list. You’ll see this option available in upcoming version. Then please go to Customizing ▸ BLOG ▸ Homepage Layout to use it.
Kind regards,
Cuong Tran
Hi Cuong,
How are you ? Years afters, your theme is always amazing . I like a lot your ORIGINAL theme, wondering how to install the demo, exactly the same like yours (font, font size, layout…). Thanks,
Hi Cuong, following my previous question. I found my answer . Thanks !!!!
Hi mekasiat,
Good to know. Let me know if you need more assistance!
Kind regards,

I love the clean and simply demos you offer they are really nice magazine layouts. Most of the other themes are to cluttered. I have a few pre-purchase questions if you wouldn’t mind answering them:
1) Can the mega menus be applied to any of the demos? 2) Can a section be defined by category? Can you have parent and child taxonomies? 3) All of the demos are B& W is there any color variation for backgrounds or sections? If so can you send me a screenshot of the settings? 4) Is there a way to use widgets with this theme to add advertising, (Ad rotate) or embed code for a podcast player? 5) Can I mix and match sections from two or more of the demos to create my out layout? A footer from one, header from another, main sections from another? I really love the Fox Travel layout but would like to move up the newsletter signup, use mega menus and add some color and banner ads. Please let me know if that is possible.
Thank you! Lisa
Hi Lisa,
Thank you for your interest.
1/ Yes they can. Anything you see in one demo can be applied to any others
2/ Yes, a section can be defined by a category.
2b/ Parent and child taxonomies? What did you mean?
3/ For section, we only have background color, here’s an example. For entire site background, Fox supports both colors and image. There’s no demo with background image, but it supports.
4/ Yes
5/ Yes, all demos are built from the same base and you can also make some tweaks to build a site your own. However, please keep in mind that you can’t import 2 demos at the same time, ie there’s only 1 starting demo. If you want to implement other demo features then it’s possible however you have to go to Theme Options and adjust it yourself. There’s no one-click import at this point. I just want to clearify to avoid mis-leading.
And no worries, if you run into any difficulties with the theme don’t hesitate to open a ticket and we’ll try at our best to help.

Thank you, Parent/Child is categories and sub-categories on drop-down menus. Are those available? I think I saw one of the built out sites that uses this theme have categories, sub-categories and sub-sub categories showing on drop-down menus
Hmm, yes. In fact you can put anything under anything in the dropdown menus not just subcategories under a category. So of course Fox supports it.
Awesome!! Thank you for the quick response. Looking forward to using this theme and will purchase later today.
Thank you Lisa,
Look forward to seeing your site using Fox.
How can I build custom homepage without elementor? Any progress on gutenberg blocks?
Hi danutz78,
Fox offers only Elementor and Customer Builder. We’ll try to implement shortcode for post blocks in upcoming version but we have no plans for Gutenberg blocks.
Kind regards,
Cuong Tran
Customer Builder homepage is bad for SEO, and elementor loads to much css.
Hi danutz78,
Why is customizer builder bad for SEO?
Huhu, I’m just wondering what is the best way to activate/install Fox on an existing site.
Should I install the theme – > then activate -> then load the demo content?
Or is there a workaround without having to activate the theme in advance.
The reason is, when I activate it, it is of course visible to the users, but not styled yet.
Greetings
thank you for the answer. one more question. if i want to use the default design (fox). is then enough to simply activate, or do i have to load fox again extra via the demo import.
greetings
Hi weddingweiser,
The default design is the plain theme with no styles (you’ll see it’s very basic) so if you want to use it, just simply activate The Fox theme, don’t need to load any demo.
If you meant “classic/original” design you’ll need to activate the original demo.
Kind regards,
Cuong Tran
Just installed the theme and looks great. On the interior demo, is there a way to add an image to the mouse-over on the posts? It is a cool feature and shows the first letter of the post but it would be great if we could add our icons for that section as a mouse-over image. If it cannot be done could you add it to the wish list on updates? Can it be turned off if we don’t want to use it? Thank you.
I just found the location to add a custom logo in the thumbnail hoover effect so I got my answer thank you!
Glad to know that Lisa,
Let me know if you need more assistance. In such a case you can open a new ticket at our support desk.

Hello, I would like to be able to modify the layout 1b of the single article to insert targeted ads but I cannot find the file concerned … Thanks for your help
Hi Robadasocial,
Please open up:
fox/single/content-1b.php
Hope this helps,
Cuong Tran
Hi Cuong, I’ve just saw on your ORIGINAL demo theme, on this page : https://thefox.withemes.com/classic/photography-post-4/ a gallery (on top of the post) with sliding style. How can we create a gallery like this one ? I did find how to built it ! Thanks,
Hi Duc,
Please check your Post Settings > Post Format area below your post editor. Select gallery format and choose “Carousel” style.
Hope this helps,
Cuong Tran
Amazing theme. I want to build a bookstore with lots of reviews, is this theme compatible and recommended? What do you think?
Thanks!
Hi mr_hidayatulloh,
Which demo are you interested in? Fox is a multi-purpose blog/magazine theme so you can use it if you love the design and you feel it fits your needs.
For review, here is a sample post with review system. You can add any number of criteria as you want. In front page, you can sort posts by review score (ie. best rated posts).
Hope this helps,
Cuong Tran
I love ‘classic’ themes and some of my customers do too. Before I actually buy it, I want to make sure, can I fully customize woocommerce, for example the customer account page that I can’t find in the installed theme?
Sorry for my english.
Hi mr_hidayatulloh,
Fox is compatible with WooCommerce at basic level. We have few options but it’s not powerful as a WooCommerce theme of course.
The customer account page is available (for sure) but it’s for logged in customers so we can’t show it on the demo.
Kind regards,
Cuong Tran
Hi,
We are wondering if your theme could be good for us. We have quite a large and high-traffic website with +15.000 posts. Your website states:
“Fox serves for sites with 5,000+ posts without any issues.”
Would it be working for us as well?
Thanks in advance, Yuri
Hi Yuri,
Actually I didn’t notice if we already had any customers with 15K+ posts or not so to be honest I couldn’t answer 100% sure for this. However I don’t foresee any problem of how many posts your site has. Fox uses standard query from database (ie. it queries your posts in standard and recommended way by WP) so if your site works well with some standard theme then it should work well with The Fox.
We have customer’s site that serves 70-100K visitors per day without problem. How many visitors do you have a day?
Kind regards,
Cuong Tran
Hi Cuong,
Thanks for the reply. We have approximately 40k visitors per day so I guess everything will be fine. I am playing with the theme settings on a test-location at the moment.
I was wondering: is there a way to exclude articles from a certain category from showing up in positions like ‘related posts’ and ‘bottom posts’? Would be great for us.
Regards, Yuri
Hi Yuri,
For your further information, here’s the site with 40K posts and 2.5M visitors/month.
To exclude certain categories from some positions, you must edit directly in the theme file (fox/inc/query.php file, fox_related_query function). You can add the following parameter into the query args:
'exclude_categories' => [ 12, 56 ]
for instance.
Hope this helps,
Cuong Tran
Thanks. Nice website. We switched in the meantime. This is our FOX-site: link
I decided to not use the post view counter. I guess this option could cause some extra CPU load and speed is very important to us.
Hi Cuong,
We want to display ‘updated time’ in the meta-area above posts instead of ‘published time’. I read on this forum that you have some easy css to make this happen.
Can you tell me what CSS we’ll have to use for this?
Thanks in advance, Yuri
Update: already fixed this
Glad to know that
