My current website 3 pages. Each page has a rows/column gird of images.
On mouse-over, the image changes to a different, secondary image.
Please say Yes!
(need to accomplish this with a standard page, not a portfolio)
No, I’m afraid
i just updated the theme and now I’m getting errors: please help?
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home1/wccyslco/public_html/wp-content/themes/dt-the7/wpbakery/js_composer/composer/lib/mapper.php on line 147

Why does the floating menu highlights always highlight the right most menu option if there are a combination of menus with and without submenus in the header? Nothing like clicking on a menu link then after scrolling down the page the highlighted menu shifts to the right most menu item. Its pretty amusing when users complain about not knowing where they are because the same menu item always gets highlighted as soon as the floating menu is shown
(Sorry this is canned reply, due to big amount of same question that were answered before.)
We released v.4.1.1. of The7 on April 19, that solved most of issues with WP 3.9.
At this moment we’re working on another theme update that will solve remaining issues with Visual Composer (broken “Button 2”) and main navigation (when “#” is present in URL). It will be (hopefully) submitted to ThemeForest within 24h.(We’re still waiting for newer version of Visual Composer to be released. Until them there’s no sense in releasing update.)
Thank you so much for patience and understanding!
Is it possible to reduce the amount of space between columns? (I’m using visual composer) – it would be great if you could make them flush next to each other or just 1 pixel space.
This can be done in CSS . If you are familiar with it, you can use FireBug (FireFox plugin for web-developers) or Chrome web developers tools to define which style should be changed and where. Here’s an awesome screencast by WooThemes on how to use it: http://vimeo.com/20917974 .
Thanks for the awesome theme, I love the features and the clean cut style. I understand that your theme uses a modified verision on Visual Composer.
Please could you look at making your version compatible with some of the extensions. I already have Visual Composer Extensions,(http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-extensions/7190695?WT) and would be ecstatic if i could use it with your theme.
Thanks you for your time and efforts
Hi,Technically it’s possible.
You need to rename the folder with composer from theme and install it as separate plugin. In this case extensions will work fine. However I have to warn you that theme was not fully tested in this mode, therefore some minor glitches may appear.
Thanks for your prompt reply. So do i need to move the wpbakery folder from the theme to the plugin folder?
I was talking about installing original version of plugin. Nut you can also try the way you described: it may work fine (though, I cannot guarantee it since we were not testing it this way).
Thank you, this does work
This question has been asked several times before: How do I rename the default BLOG title on the blog template. You got screenshots from at least one user and they are 6 months old. The question has never been answered! I create a new page and name it NEWS, then I go to settings, reading and select the page to show my blog posts, right; when I go and refresh my NEWS page, the title changes to BLOG! Bye bye freedom! We want this page to have the title NEWS and not BLOG!
I would also like to use a revolution slider on this blog page, like we do on all other pages to keep a consistency throughout the site. This seems not to be possible either.
Furthermore, after selecting the blog-list template, I cannot update the page anymore! Although I hit update and the page seems to update, no new page revision is created and no changes are made.

Hi Dream-Themers and contributors,
I am gaining more and more insight into The7 and I have to say, it’s just and really amazing!
Dig in, get some feedback here and dig back in. Not being a professional developer, there’s not much The7 is not capable to do and IMHO it is quite forgiving
Nevertheless, I am trying to get some information about the woocommerce shortcode button in classic editor or VC mode….
It has completely disappeared on my installation. I get the new The7-shortcode button but no more Woocommerce shortcodes listing.
I already had some problems with this, although changing from firefox to safari arranged things prior to the WP and The7 updates. Now, everything is gone….. As I cannot access any Woo-Support (Woocommerce being free), I am trying my luck here.
Does anyone know about TinyMCE issues with all these updates and how to fix them? Quite annoying….
Thank you very much EVERY possible information!
Found some related information: https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce/issues/5130
Making it short: It’s has been removed and won’t be back
Yep, new version of TinyMCE caused LOTS of headache to most developers
I’ve updated to WordPress 3.9 but when I add a text block in the visual composer – with the “visual” tab selected – the text is white and the html markup is clearly visible, for example:
This is my text
I assume this is a visual composer issue? Will you be releasing a theme update with the fix in?
I’ve not seen anything else that is wrong since updating WordPress yet, but I’ve only carried out limited editing. There may well be other issues I’ve not come across yet.
Also, I was wondering when you’d be releasing the theme update that removes the CSS from the page source and into an external file?
How can I align top menu to the right (instead of social icons?)
Suggestion: I think your themes should support ways of easily adding Schema. For instance, on the About pages and Contact pages, enable ways to add the Organization Schema.
Lots more can be done though, for sure!
Thanks for feedback!
Love the theme. Is it possible to on a teaser image or single image to have a button on top of the image around the center? Before I do custom CSS I wanted to see if I was missing anything!
There’s no such standard feature I’m afraid
hi, anyone here running ecommerce with this theme? im facing problems with paypal integration, could some kind soul give me some pointers? i can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org
I’m afraid you’ll have to contact paypal support – it has nothing to do with theme or (most probably) WooCommerce.
Is there any chance that the shortcodes will become more user friendly? Meaning: Rather than spitting out code and having the user have to know what to put in the code, there is a user friendly form they fill out to adjust their shortcode? A general user will not be able to really figure that out the way it is now.
We were considering it, but, honestly, there’s no much sense in it: we left only most commonly used shortcodes in text editor since v.4.1.x and they are really simple. All other stuff can (and must) be done using visual layout builder.
Wouldn’t be nice to have the Partners/Clients Logos on 1 row? and to see the option that let the logos rotate automaticly by a given speed?
I would, and Dream-Team maybe add it if there are more people interested in this, so please send them a email for this request.
also would like to see the option to change social icon by platform rather than one colour for all.
Scroller for logos is planned for one of upcoming updates
There seems to be issues with “Load more” button & filter with AJAX on portfolio pages with the recent releases. Is there a fix for this coming soon. I’m not sure how long the problem has been present but people are unable to ‘load more’. Pagination is also not working with the AJAX filter. Only the standard pagination is working.
Update that will solve this issue is already submitted to ThemeForest. As soon as it will be approved – all buyers will receive email notification.
“100% compatible with WordPress 3.9”
We have exhausted steps (turning on/off plugins, switching to 2014, clearing caches, etc.) to try and resolve Visual Composer problems. We understand a new version of VC has been released. When will a new version of this theme be released to get the VC problem resolved to work with TinyMCE 4?
Need a fix ASAP.
The author mentioned four months ago that the ability to change the default sidebar position on new pages to left or disabled (instead of right) would be implemented in the next big update. Has this happened yet?
Yes, this is still planned but I cannot give any ETA: there’s lots of stuff that have more priority.
BTW, you can easily move sidebar to the left in CSS. Please, submit a request via our online help-desk http://support.dream-theme.com – our guys will assist with it.?Thanks!
I understand. I have already modified the styles for the sidebar directly in the main.css file. Can the help-desk provide me with a less invasive method to change or override styles, one that won’t be overwritten in the next update to your theme? Great theme btw, one of the best we’ve ever purchased.
Well, you can keep that bit of CSS in “Theme Options > General > Custom CSS” this will preserve your customization during updates. Another option is to keep it in the child theme.
If we need to make more modifications I may set up a child theme but I think the CSS option will do the trick for now. Thanks!
You are welcome.
It is second request.
I told you it is urgent issue for me.
If not, I lose money. I need to pay compensation to my clients.
I still can’t use button. As you already know I cannot change hyperlink.
I think it can be the reason of refund.
I’m waiting for your quick reply.
I need to refund and buy another theme again asap.
Wow. OK. You don’t worry about your guest. Think about your profit. Thank you so much.
Sorry I do not see how you come to this conclusion from my reply.. Anyway if it was offensive in any slightest way, please accept my apologize – I did not mean to be offensive at all!
And no, profit is not our best priority. Product quality is. Profit is just a result of it.
Thank you so much for updating Teaser with media uploader as per our request!!! Your support is valued greatly.
the7 is streets ahead of most other themes and keeps getting better.
Thank you very much for feedback!
This is a feature request. Currently in a portfolio item, selection the option “Show media as: Gallery” (for example, with 3 columns), this grid is not responsive, so is quite small on a mobile device.
It would be great if the portfolio media gallery could be responsive, like the ‘Masonry’ grid template for example.
Can you please provide a link to page with it, so I make sure that we’re talking about same things? Thanks!
The gallery scales, but is not responsive. Hope that helps
Thanks. Will discuss it with our guys – think it can be improved.
Thanks. Just to clarify, I think there are some situations when it works very well as it is. In other situations a responsive option would be a nice feature, and /or an option to select how many columns. Hope that helps.
I agree with you. There was some reason why our designed insisted on this layout – now we’re trying to recall what it was
