yeah all my content is gone!
from your comment below I see you were able to fix it, that’s great!
P.S. For future reference, please post any support related questions to the theme’s support forum. You can subscribe to the Support Forum HERE
great theme BTW
Glad you were able to resolve it so quickly..
For anyone with support related question(s), please post them to the theme’s support forum.
In my effort to provide you with better support I’ve setup an independent Forum where all comments are searchable, you can upload images and insert code with code-highlighting, etc.
You can send me an email through my Profile page
Might want to check your demo. The URL is incorrect:
(note the missing “o”)
the only official and valid demo is here: http://themeforest.net/item/udesign-wordpress-theme/full_screen_preview/253220
Sincere apologies. Wrong plugin. Please disregard.
This theme looks great, and we really like the diversity of the sites in the showcase. We are not designers, however, and would need someone to take this theme and our ideas and make them look great together. Are you available for customizations and design using U-Design? If not, can you recommend anyone?
please contact me directly. You can send me an email through my Profile page
Hello! I’m very interested in this theme. Tell me please does this theme support Russian language?
Oops! Sorry! Scrolling down answered my question.
yes, it does.
Does this theme come with the xml for the demo data so that the site will look exactly like the demo?
I do offer an XML import file in the support forum, and also I have provided additional instructions. A WordPress XML is not usually enough to import Widgets for example or slider options, so all these need be addressed individually. Also, I don’t import the images because of copyright restrictions, just so you know, but I have left the actual images’ HTML code in the import so you can see where the images were and replace them with your own if that’s what you want.
Is this theme Responsive or do you have it in a responsive version?
Hi Payton, I’m in the process of updating the theme to be responsive, I will be releasing an update of the theme soon. As you probably know, once you purchase the theme, future updates are free.
Is there any way to change to sortable portfolio to “searchable” where I could enter a tag in the search field and only those items would show up the same way as when sorted?
that would be a lot more complicated to implement, so no, this is not available as a standard portfolio feature.
Hi, its filed under multilingual, but i can´t see how this is done here. Whats the solution for multilingual sites?
Please refer to the WordPress codex pages on that subject: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language
Multilingual content in WordPress is handled by a plugin, so you would need to get one of your choice first, some of the most popular are WPML, qTranslate. What’s required from the theme I have done already, which is to extract all strings for translation and provide them in a *.po file, the theme already comes with quite a few translations (you can see the list), if the language of interest to you is not there you will have to translate it yourself using *.po files provided.
Hi, I am aware of this! Being ready to buy a template means to look into its features. Your template is advertised as multilingual. To me this would mean to have this included. I understand now that you meant different translations included.
How do we add a alt tag to the logo?
Thank you for choosing the “U-Design” theme!

I only have a problem with the post thumbnail.
I set the costum field on thumbnail, but what kind of value do i have to fill in to show the post image?
This theme offers some of the best and most professional support of any theme I’ve found (and I’ve used over a dozen).
This makes a lifetime of difference when creating a site with your own look and feel. I highly recommend Udesign to anyone wanting the power and ease of use of a flexible template in combination with the best support out there.
Thank you Bernardo for your feedback, glad you like the theme and support we provide
I used cycle3 slider at my homepage, now i want to use a single image in cycle3 slider’s area. How can I do that ? ( How can i put single static image 940px X 430px without any slider effect like sliding texts, fade out, fade in, etc.)
I would like to use this theme for my website: http://one-direction-tickets.net/
But I want to turn the u-design theme exactly like the my website’s design so should I start to edit main theme or create a child theme for it?
Before I purchase this theme, I would like to ask some questions:
-is Montenegro or Serbian language supported
-if so, is there an option to post images of flags which when clicked would lead you to translated website into selected language
-can the background be an image instead of colour
Thank you for your assistance!
thanks for your interest in the “U-Design” theme.
Yes, the theme does come with Serbian translation, you can see a full list of translations here: http://themeforest.net/item/udesign-wordpress-theme/253220
The flags business is usually handled by a WordPress translation plugin, so if you would like to have a multilingual WordPress site you need to use a plugin for that. More on that here: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language
when i edit my page, i click “insert a udesign shortcode” then “To preview examples of the shortcodes click HERE”, i click HERE, it goes to a page from udesign which requires a password that i don’t know.
try this one HERE.
I have 2 questions:
1. Does it support Hebrew, and how can I use it this way?
2. Does it support retina display?
If you mean RTL support out of the box, no it doesn’t. I’ve seen some users have successfully converted it themselves to RTL but i don’t have it officially supported.
Can it be done with wpml?
Not sure to be honest, have not tried it personally. Might want to check with the WPML folks on that.
I think a responsive theme will never come unless sales drop for you. It wouldn’t be that hard to make a responsive theme , just some changes in the .css files. EVERYONE has a responsive theme except you. I looked thru your comments and your excuses are just about compatibility but hey just release the css. code for that option. If somebody dont want responsive then its easy to switch between that option. The reality is its too much labor to make it responsive and unless forced to do so you wont..
Well, you’ll be surprised that responsive is already here… you should check the support forum more often: http://dreamthemedesign.com/u-design-support/discussion/13107/who-wants-to-test-u-design-responsives
I’m doing final testing and touches and will be releasing it in a few days, I’ll make the update announcement
I love your theme and the options and features are great. But there is one problem I am facing with IE. I have IE8 but my website’s home page looks different on IE.
I notice that the text widgets I have used on home page are disturbed. Please check the website www.winningmajorevents.com
You will notice that it wroks like a charm on all browsers but messed up on IE.
Would be glad if you can help me on this issue.
this sounds like an issue with your content, the default theme works great in IE, so you need to make sure the HTML/XHTML or any other content you put in is valid. Please re-post your question in the theme’s support forum and we’ll give you further instructions how to troubleshoot this. You can subscribe to the Support Forum HERE.
Thanks for your prompt response. Posted my Question on your forum.
